I dont even have a pre op diet. I only do clears the first day post op then I am on full liquids for a month while my stomach heals.

I have GERD and my surgeon talked me into a sleeve ( which exacerbates GERD) instead of the bypass ( which cures GERD). He said this is because the GERD is caused by the weight gain. Now i am worried. Surgery is April 3.

I haven't hady surgery yet but I am practicing finding other ways to feel comforted besides food. Unfortunately my replacement became shopping. Now that I am broke I am trying to find another replacement. Lol!

I would call the surgeon. Those are not typical symptoms of sugar or caffeine withdrawal. Dont worry about being a wimp.

Hi I am just waiting on insurance clearance and then can set my date for vertical sleeve gastrectomy. Surgeon said that he would try to get me on March schedule. It will be so nice to have buddies going through this!!! -
I am wondering about the pre op diet as well. My nutritionist said to do the low fat full liquid diet. That sounds crazy to me. I don't even have my surgery date yet. I thought she would put me on a low carb diet. Got any idea why I would benefit from low fat full liquid diet now??
