G'day, I'm a newbie to the forum. Had my lapband a while ago but am 'rebooting' it before I consider revision surgery. Had some fill put in and am seriously sticking to the rules and have lost 7.5 kgs in a month so am pretty happy with that. Nice to meet you all (I'm Aussie but live in Ireland)

Hi guys, I'm new here, but an old bandster (with a long and unproductive story that I won't go into here). Anyhoo, I'm 'rebooting' my lapband so to speak, and got a fill up to 9ml. I am now having to be pretty careful about what I eat and I am struggling with the size of the Metformin pill. It's not the extended-release version just the regular one which I have to take twice a day. The package says don't chew but I am chewing - do other people have to do that too or can they swallow the Metformin whole despite the lapband? Just curious Rachel
