And Alex would be flattered to know you think all good things originate on Bariatric Pal, we were his brainchild until we grew into fruition. And still much of his lifework![emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Yes you are NORMAL! No matter how hard you study, plan and want something there is a little bit of unknown still there[emoji37]You would not be human if you didn't have ambivalent feelings the DAY before. Just watch me, my time should and hopefully will be May and the Brave Little Engine that Could will have her own whimwahs. Sure I can talk the talk but can I truly walk the walk when it's time? Sure hope so! You have to tell yourself, you are doing the right thing at the right time and for the right reasons. Mine may or may not be exactly the same but they are right for me. And yours will be for you. And if you cry when you read this, that's perfectly okay, Smile through your tears, you are [emoji179] on Bariatric Pal, you are all of our friend and you definitely matter! Now sit back, let the Bariatric Godmother give you a hug. Feeling all better? Good[emoji13]and[emoji173] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

We all deserve to be in the normal bracket, worked for it, planned for it, even slightly rearranged our bodies to achieve it. Normal -yes, Average-no, average is as close to the bottom as the top. We will not settle for being bottom feeders, we are and will,be slim, trim and sleek! Power to Us All! [emoji106] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Star you had a good idea, buying single bottles until you find something you like and can run with, then hike to Sams Club or costco where you can count coup on prices. Think I'll ask for a one-day pass, even at 10% extra it would be worth it, and I might just like it enough to join! My biggest problem is that the nearest to me is in Mansfield 23 miles north [emoji30]of my sweet self. Might as well do it in Columbus when I go for an appointment at OSU[emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Could be a reaction to anesthesia chemicals, post surg medicines, or you starting to releasing hormones etc from your body fat. Or , worse case scenario, you're now allergic to your Protein Shake but with that you should have nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. Or if you are like me --allergic to Hibaclens or whatever they painted you with prior to surgery. I'm built like a Belgian Plowhorse but inside a delicate woods wildflower that bruises or rashes easily. Sniff Sniff![emoji27] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

7 days out postop, ESG
frust8 replied to TransitionKate's topic in Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty Forum
My future bariatric hospital treats their RnY patients that way. Sleevers, both kinds have to do the more traditional levels, maybe because of their. stitches or long staple line popping open easier? Don't know[emoji27]] but that's how I see it[emoji3] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

And I'm still out here, 72 and in a holding pattern. After the 25th I am hoping the gears will start turning again. Maybe May? Certainly before summer or I'll make the 6 o'clock news. You've heard of the Million Man March? Tune in soon for the One Fat RedHeaded Picket Line outside the Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center front door! I WANT MY SURGERY! Old wife wisdom: Benadryl or another antihistamine. Draw yourself a coolish bath, throw a handful of either baking soda or oatmeal in and sit and splash yourself. I personally prefer oatmeal baths myself. That's what Domboro soaks are made of. Gently pat yourself dry, don't rub, it will only make things worse. And invite your doctor into the loop if need be[emoji13] I personally have had so many allergies I thought red and bumpy was a normal skin condition[emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Can I still qualify for VSG with mild GERD?
frust8 replied to Jumanna's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Don't we all, I'm sorta like that myself today. I was just lying here, with sinusitis from Hades, been through 4 antibiotics and my nose is still dripping yet my head still feels stuffy. Tomorrow morning I have to go have a head and sinus Xray[emoji37] I love reading everybody's story. Cheer with them at victories, empathize at each sorrow and still down deep jealous as snarf they've had their surgery and. I still havent! And if by some miracle I'd get a call, no surgeon is gonna do me with a drippy nose. Imagine telling the anesthesia[emoji40] guy Wait a minute until I blow my nose! Probably isn't going to happen until May but I'm impatient. Told them, folks, I am not getting any younger, I'm blaming you for my lines and crows feet[emoji70][emoji30] Sniff sniff! Little Ms Hateful, must have a supervisor, kick It up if you have to! [emoji13]Funny, when I had UHC I had a liason person who was also a nurse to expedite things. It wasn't for Bariatrics but something else. And that was only a little over 2 years ago. Maybe corporate has gone downhill![emoji38] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
April 19th (or about) surgery buddies??
frust8 replied to kandk122907's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Yep get all your healthy,on! You are going to do so good, in a couple weeks you'll be celebrating and shouting from the rooftops I DID IT! Now you have that lovely[emoji30] liquid diet to contend with. I told another girl this morning to think about of it as getting ready-for-surgery medicine, if it helped. And afterwards you'll be starting on the smooth road to recovery. Cool, isn't it? Makes me hungry for my own RnY! It's going to happen, just don't have a date-maybe MAY? I should know more after the 25th.[emoji13][emoji304] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

And are you just bored with plain water? Try flavorings, green or herbal teas, spice your life up a little. Change the temperature up,some people do better with very warm or cold instead of room temperature[emoji38] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

frust8 replied to JitterbugPerfume's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Might be a little while. 1 you just came out of major surgery, they don't just call it that for lack,of a better term. 2 hot water dialated your skin blood vessels so not as much blood got up to your brain and balance centers 3 it's hard to stand up nice and straight, soap and rinse successfully, the fact you've been able to for years might not work 4 Just relax and,be kind to you, it's early days yet. In the long haul of things, you'll b e just fine.[emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Isopure vs. Premier Clear?
frust8 replied to Sprinkles1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Think of it as getting-ready-for-surgery medicine. Hope you don't have to hold your nose while you drink. Have you tried Muscle Milk or one of the other brands? Some have made their own with skim milk and protein powders, or used almond milk. I have faith you'll find the right answer for YOU[emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
