Throwing up white foam?!?
frust8 replied to Lady KatieBug's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Raman noodle broth is High in Sodium. Might make you retain fluid and slow down your loss of weight. Yogurt, sugar free puddings and Jello, thin cream of rice or cream of wheat, cottage cheese. You might even be able to eat soft scrambled egg if you're close to the pureed, mooshy stage. How about a tiny bit of ripe banana? Just a few ideas off the top of my head. Sleeved Yesterday 2/28/18
frust8 replied to logicwand's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So how are you doing 4 days after your surgery? Are you up walking and sipping down those fluids? Much tenderness or pain now? And how much do you think you'll be down when you get weighed again? I know you are going to have a successful journey, can't wait to hear more of your story. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Forums for spouses of WLS patients
frust8 replied to capty's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
You are a sweetheart and 1 in a million. I hope your guy loves and appreciated your support. One of the reasons I didn't seek WLS sooner was that my late husband would have been so against it. I swallowed my pride, didn't upset the status quo and drug this fat tired body around longer than I should have. Now I've had 2 knee replacements, both done after his death, and its a race to see which will need surgery next, my hips or my left shoulder. Oh I need this surgery for my arthritis among other things. There should be a forum for spouses if there isn't already. Maybe me or someone should start one. Think I just might. And don't forget blending into a crowd, nobody will describe you as that BIG guy or gal, like you never had a name. And the car doesn't lean to one side when. you get in or out. My parents had a car with load levelers, imagine how you feel when you shift weight and they start running. Rrr. Rrrr! I hope I lose enough weight guys don't stare at my boobs or booty- yeah I'd like a little less attention. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

When is your surgery scheduled and where? Are you having lap band, sleeve,RnY or SIPS? Gee I just don't know for sure, but if you were my son of daughter, and yeah I am THAT old, I'd tell you to get a hold of your PCP or surgeon's office and make sure everything is ok. Prayers and Best Wishes. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Biotene like others have recommended immediately after surgery. Wouldn't know why it wouldn't work for you also. Worse case scenario, rinse out your mouth with non-alcoholic mouthwash. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Don't poo before you go in, put rocks in your pockets, keep your keys on you, get weighed with your shoes on or wearing a jacket. Let your body fudge a little if it gets you your surgery. That's probably the weight that will go on your chart to meet insurance requirements. And if you're lighter the visit after that, goody for you. They'll just chalk it up to you getting into the program. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Don't fret, you might still be able to have a few oysters in maintainance. Great to have a 28lb loss, I'd say you are off to a good start. Keep going, we all know you're capable of doing it. Good luck, with the gout, it's a miserable thing to have. My late husband's Aunt Lois had it. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Hope it's Gatorade Zero, regular has beauoup calories. Remember Green Tea, Mio and Crystal Lite are also good. Also remember although the Huns and Vusagoths might have destroyed Rome in a day, Rome wasn't built that way. Slow and steady wins the hydration prize. This is just the first of your Success reports. Onward and onward! Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Out With the Old--In With the New!
frust8 replied to FluffyChix's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Glad to see you are glowing and going stronger each and every day. Read recently someone in Utica (little town near me) is raising Tilapia, remember a few years everybody was raising catfish, having catfish farms? I guess this is the latest fad in fish farming. They expect by this summer to be selling them to local markets and maybe all over the state. Are you going to share another recipe today? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Exercise with Little Guy. You have your own little barbell. Hold him and march in place, get down on the floor and crawl with him. Walk with him, put him in the stroller, push him, gently jog until you get a glow of sweat. When the weather is nice pack a mini picnic and blanket and play outside. Even go shopping or to the mall with him. The secret is walking, keep your mommy body a-moving, as you exercise more you'll feel better. No sugary Snacks or fast food. Remember Fast food is not Good food. Love and prayers to you and your Little Angel. And later when your babies are big enough to notice ,you'll be teaching them good food choices.
