    Dehydration?

Well Briae it could be orthostatic hypotension, that happens when your blood pools in your lower half and the blood doesn't get up to your brain and your body's complaining. Very common after major surgery, your body's been through a lot. But it also could be mildish dehydration, keep your fluids coming in , move slower and easier, you're not quite ready to run the New York Marathon. Give yourself time and permission to heal. Hugs to you. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Know it all family members....

The snappy answer (because I've been on both sides I'm sorry to say)" Out of a Cracker Jack box before they stopped putting them in." But I agree some people jar your granny's preserves. Usually the ones who know the least about what you're going through have the most opinions and they are usually wrong. Keep the faith, you will do just fine. Surgery today

Good luck, I hope you wake up not in too much pain. Don't want you to feel like like Ben R ran over you with his motorcycle or that the Penguins used you for a hockey puck. Now get healthy so you can cheer on the Pirates, baseball season is just around the corner. Update us on your surgery and your struggles, cause we'll be waiting. God Bless. It's days like these

And I'm still in it to win it. Late last week I was having a blue period, today starts a new week and I'm going to stay on target to the finish. My book is still being written, some chapters read as unbelievable, but it is My Book, don't care if it's a Best Seller, if it helps someone else, good. As the late Ricky Nelson " if you can't please everyone you'd better please yourself" and that's profound. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Newbie/1st post

Unjury, I'm still pre surg, a lot of people have found Biotene (a mouth moisturizer) GasX strips (helps you get rid of that pesky gas) chapstick, soft sleep pants or jammie bottoms. You probably will be wearing their gowns because of wires and IVs but it is nice to have your tushie. covered when you're up walking. One poster bought a pair of cheap slippers, then threw them away when she was released. Your phone with a charger or a tablet, you might feel good enough to get bored. Chapstick, your lips will get so dry, without it they might crack. I might take some paperbacks, but then I am a reader. These are what I'm planning to pack. Welcome and congratulations on a firm surgery date, I don't have one yet but that's a long strange story. If you have any other questions I or someone else can answer, just ask. I can't give you a Protein recommendation but I'm sure there will be somebody else who can. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

So sorry about your feet @istytehcrwk, that is a conundrum of life, unwashed fabrics can still contain free dyes and other fabric fillers, usually eliminated with a good laundering but then they are not fresh and sterile. And that alas is a truth. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  13. @sleeve1stFitNext can you believe this? I'm allergic to chocolate so I can't use Palmer's Cocoa Butter. When I was carrying baby#2 something went weird with,my body and I developed off-beat allergies, chocolate being one of them. So I'm,left with Vitamin E. Used to,pop one of those little capsule type pills open. When I feel sorry for myself and I do sometimes I remember my skin such as it is , well it's still ntact . I could have flesh eating bacteria and losing big chunks of myself. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any March 2018 Sleevers?

Look at how far you've come, then look at how far you need to go to make goal. Now do you think you could make it all the way there without your surgery? No and I couldn't either that's why I'll be following you before long. I heard there's a spot on the losers bench just your size, I know you'll want to claim it. And after Tuesday it's all yours. Now be a brave little soldier, march forward confidently into the future. And we will all be waiting to hear your story. God Bless Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  17. It runs in my family, my first popped out when I was 5ft5in 110lbs and 11 years old, so you don't necessarily need to be obese to get them. I'm sorry to say I passed them down to all 3 of my children, developed at about same age on the outside of both hips. Between gaining and losing weight, carrying 3 9lb babies non of which laid the same way, my tummy looks like the roadmap of Indianapolis with all the county roads marked. I actually have an abdomen 5 little slits would only be enhancing. I heard someone was going to have ivy leaves tatooed to join the scars together, I couldn't do it. My skin is in too badly stretch marked, I'm not quite that frisky and most of all I couldn't afford it. Just think how much that would cost! Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Panicking

You are worthwhile, I think you know what went wrong, you've made a start by admitting it. You 're able to overcome this, therapy probably is a very good idea as would another chat with a nutritionist. Yiull, turn this around and be better for it. Starting BMI of 33

And you both inspire me, lI have arthritis and have since 25. 2 knee replacements and I'm a very, painful 72. I'm still struggling to get my surgery, I am hoping to get accepted into another bariatric program, I have a seminar March,9th and one booked also for March 10th. If #1 does pan out I'll cancel,my reservation at #2. I'm actually hopeful of #1, probably should have gone there instead of where i did. I vow to win my surgery, I won't let my bad experience stop me. I don't have to meet a minimum like you girls I have a BMI of 47 with 2-3 comorbidities. But I want to have both of you as friends Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. Numinousvessel I was worried about you, not all those other people. My road to my RnY has turned complicated also but I want to be here for you just as a friend. I can tell you my problems at another time, suffice it to say I got kicked to the curb by my bariatric program after completely doing all requirements. Now I must enroll in another program if They will accept me. So we have a commonality there. I will listen if you want to talk more. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Reached my goal! 104 lbs gone!

You gave me an inspiration transfusion. If you can go from a 20 to an 8, I surely ought to be able to go from a 26 to a 15/16. Maybe (sniff sniff) lower? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
