Most of the hospitals[emoji541] in Ohio seem to do the day-before [emoji338]method. Are they really so busy they don't know ahead[emoji354], is it a head[emoji62] game they play or doesn't it Matter as much to THEM as it does to ME? I suspect it's the last. Gosh every time I hear one of my buddies are getting theirs I get a little "jelly"[emoji58] it's not me. Sniff sniff, it's gonna come[emoji8] I can't give up yet![emoji8] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Betcha you aren't as old as me. I am as old as dirt, 72, I've got being a cougar on my bucket list, if I can lose enough weight and get enough energy. Oh well I can sit on the sidelines drooling, at my age they'll just think I can't control my saliva.I may have lost many things but not my mind, weight or my sense of humor[emoji13][emoji13][emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Serious Overeating & Binging Problems Post Op
frust8 replied to sleeveduk96's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
[mention=299399]sleeveduk[/mention], how are you doing today? I am only semi-reformed but let me add my paltry pennies to the mix. You say you stay up all night, been there, done that, you might say I got forceably retired from a job I loved, miss doing it, miss the people I came in contact each day with, what I don't miss was the inner-company bickering and my supervisors. Do you have cable or any exercise DVDs? Do some exercise at home, nobody to criticise or make you feel self conscious like in a gym. Now gyms are still a good place but not yet for you. Get out and walk in the fresh air, yeah winter can come and go in April still, but get outside anyway. I'm saying this for you and me both, and if you're unemployed, no think of it as underemployed, you don't feel real good about youself underneath. Maybe not full depression but more a sense of meh. You need to buck up , buckaroo. Nice to be offered a chocolate ice cream cone, feels sorry and he wants to make you feel better, but you really don't need food to do it. I'm currently 323 down from a all-time high of 355 and with a 72 year old metabolism the pounds aren't melting away for me. They don't make my model anymore so I can't get replacement parts today to make me run better! But slowly and steadily I Will do it and maybe the victory will be so much sweeter for the effort I have put forth. As another suggestion, don't eat right when you first get up, do something else for a while. Yeah I keep harping on walking but it is the easiest thing you can do.Stop eating white bread, you really need whole grains if you're going to eat bread at all. I don't anymore because I realized it sets like a hockey puck,in my stomach, have an Apple orange or banana instead. We seem to snack on bananas at my house. Although I don't keep a perfect pantry there aren't any chips pretzels crackers and Cookies there. No I do have 1 box of Cheeseits sitting there but they are getting dusty. Like the old song" Don't get around much anymore" I should get up and go walk myself, my tulips are trying to get ready to bloom, my neighbor across the street whose outdoor housekeeping skills are worse than mine actually threw a piece of trash away yesterday or moved it to the backyard where I can't see it.So sweeties life is still worth living, if you have to make your own kind of music, just do it. And your song will be sweeter because only you know the right tune![emoji14][emoji626][emoji13] And use the surgery tool for your benefit, I don't believe it's too late to make a comeback. Consult with a nutritionist/dietician and get back on a better more proportioned diet, you'll feel better.[emoji106] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Are you fat or are you just tall? Are you sick or losing weight? Gosh your hair is red! You Are a woman , aren't you? Gosh it is You, I thought you were dead!, There's something strange about you, isn't there? Answers 1 Both ,thank you very much. Are you smart-Aleck or do you just don't care? 2. No sicker than usual for our age, I am however losing weight. 3 No same color it's been since I was 12, more or less. You've known me for 50+ years, don't tell me you've forgotten. 4. My late husband and doctor said I am, who am I to argue with such intelligent men? 5 No I'm still alive, were you worried you' d missed my obituary and funeral? 6. Nope no stranger then usual, how about you for asking? And the day isn't over yet![emoji85][emoji87][emoji86] And alas I am still pre surgery, think how my Job's Comforters will circle around when it's finally done![emoji37][emoji37] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Oh I envy you[emoji68] if you succeeded at a smooth sleek menopause. Mine was much like my weight loss journey has been , a bumpy thumpsy up and down journey. Could not understand how I could have hot flashes, night sweats, and still, gush like a Texas oil well each and every month! So glad my lady parts finally went into permanent slumber on their own.[emoji70][emoji106] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Did you tell the world about your WLS?
frust8 replied to Bryn910's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
That is the truth, or they can be like my oldest RD ( short for Rotten Daughter) she cares so little when I tried to talk to her about it, she redirected the conversation to herself and her troubles. I believe if I had told her I was going to squat down and expose my lady parts to a buzz saw I would have gained the same reaction. She flat out don't care! And since she,was my first- born it hurts deep inside[emoji37] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
