Have come to the realization I will never get down to my original weight.

And you will be a slim trim new daddy this summer. All the changes in your life excite me, when I read the chapters in your life Abe I feel like you're like the brother-in-law I never had. Being a lonely only isn't all you would think. Being my mom's little Angel and daddy' s fishing buddy and proxy son didn't always leave me with down time to be me. I tried to be everything for everyone, thought it was,my fault they didn't have more children. Maybe I was so terrible they didn't want more. I 've had self esteem issues since the get go.Ah I guess we have all had emotional baggage at one time. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
A friend who was quoting nicotine put a rubber band on his wrist, every time the urge was strong he'd snap it. Wouldn't work for me, I'm alllergic to latex and I have sensory issues at times. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Premier Protein Bars on sale at Costco
frust8 replied to Seahawks Fan's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I probably will buy some from the Bariatric Pal store, prices seem good and they have a wide variety of items. I am allergic to chocolate and a lot of the bars etc at Wally World are chocolate containing. I'd like something like lemon, orange or strawberry bars. Or even a mixed berry, funny but candy or even artificial candy has, lost its appeal. Maybe since i've been paying more attention to nutrition I've gotten smarter? Well I told Panda I'd tell, I'm 72 years old, I am the adult child of 2 diabetics, no diabetes but I'm probably a ticking time bomb to develop. I have moderate to severe GERD, gastritis and Hector, my baby ulcer, who decided to show up after prolonged NSAID use, I was taking 3-4 at a time because of arthritis pain. I have been arthritic since I was 25. I've had 2 knee replacements and probably need more joints replaced. I have a BMI of 47, I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I also have Sleep Apnea, it runs in my family and my weight isn't helping either. I want the quicker weight loss of RnY, I don't mind the rerouting of my intestines as much as the thought of losing 3/4 of my stomach forever. God made me and would rather not lose more of my anatomy to some pathologist's jar. I know all the limitations I will encounter but they frighten me less than the thought of not having surgery, shortening what years I have left until all my organs fail and I die. Rough truths but valid. And those are most of my reasons. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
My Edoscopy showed chronic gastritis

Don't be worried, if you have it, it won't be the end of the world. Its pretty easily fixed and like my friend Creek Imp said, it won't slow you down that much. The reason my ulcer has a name? Well,i've named things since I was a teeny tiny girl, haven't been this big quite all my life, I only started out at 7lb12oz, my problem was food agreed too good with me. Plus I grew up in the day when fat=healthy, Mamma did her best to make sure everybody thought she was doing a good job. I laid those hungry little fat cells down early. Now they get peeved because I'm starving them to death. Hector, I chose the name because he's hectoring me and making his presence known. He complains by cramping and whining when my stomach is all empty. A problem is he doesn't always shut up when I eat. He doesn't like spices, tomatoes, peppermint, and he gets hateful when I drink coffee. That's okay, I wanted to quit caffeine anyway, it and soda don't get a place in my diet anyway anymore. A lot if other foods have lost their appeal, don't know if it's all him, but sweets, snacks and such, they're gone also. And I think I'm better for it. Do you have diabetes or GERD? Those 2 conditions your doctor will suggest a RnY, in the long run you'll lose a tad more with RnY(which is another name for gastric bypass). I think on Bariatric Pal there are a few more sleevers than bypasses but it's like 53% to 47% by my guess so really pretty even, I could tell you my reasons for RnY but it truly is a decision for you and your doctor to make. Sometimes it relies on your age as well as other conditions. He/She will know more of your physical condition and other factors than I do. I'll make you a promise, I'll tell you what made my decision but let's let some other people weigh in, then if you want still to hear, I'll tell you, okay? At any rate welcome and we're here to answer any other questions you may have. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Ready for this? Medicare and Medicaid and all they really requires a BMI of over 40 and mine is 47 and a letter of medical need from a licensed physician which my PCP was very happy to do. Oh I believe it's all in that verdompt surgeon's lap, I only saw him 2-3 times, so I'll never understand why he did such a thing. Why string me along for that period of time if this was planned all along?.? I am a sweet kind considerate person and didn't deserve to be treated in this manner! Medicare only pays a standard set amount, maybe he felt he wouldn't get repaid enough to support his lavish lifestyle? Danged if I can make sense of it all. That my dear,is the $64,000 question. I did everything they asked, everything the insurance asked, was waiting for my date, surgeon's office calls and says that message. As near as I can tell after psychologist told me to my face(in the presence of my adult son) I had passed perfectly sent them a report that I was unfit, not balanced properly for surgery which you can see isn't true. So I have to go begging for a good surgeon and surgical outcome. I am bewildered and a lot angered by all this, but it will not discourage me for I am strong resilient and, lived too long to be thwarted. I will have my surgery! So I have to head to a couple seminars for the other 2 programs in Columbus, hopeful they will accept me. I went and need my surgery. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

I had repeated svulsion fractures of my left ankle so I've hobbled that road also. Never got mine fused but I should have, and worse luck same leg as the cranky knee and I have developed lymphedema in that leg. But it still holds me up but I hope to help it by asking it to hold up less weight. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

I have had 2 knee replacements 2nd is still giving me grief over a year old so I know a little about orthopedic impediment. Dr Matthew Weiner, ooweee you went for the Big Guns, I love his videos, I'm leaning a lot less on being a carnivore, it just doesn't agree with me. I'm almost always here, if you can stand a slightly benighted Buckeye who should be old enough to behave but doesn't always, I'm 72, if I'm in my 2nd Childhood I should be having more fun. Life is a funny old thing but I'm committed to live it until I die. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
