You are probably experiencing the restriction your new sleeve is supposed to give you. Remember you can only take teensy tiny bites. Check with your doctor but if it isn't relaxing much they may not advance you to next stage this soon. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Kathy [emoji7]are you sure it's not:" it's a Journey, not a Race or Sprint". At least that's the way I've always heard it presented." You can be a mover and a groover when you no longer suck food up,like a Hoover!" February 2018 Success Stories
frust8 replied to kakatlady612's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I was carrying baby#3 I told my mama I was having gall bladder pain. Both she and my OB-GYN laughed, said I was just having a big baby and it was Junior kicking,me in the ribs. Well joke on them both, when my gall bladder came out it was inflamed, full of gallstones and I turned jaundiced the week before my surgery. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Apple Cider Vinegar Shots
frust8 replied to pikachu.abuomar's topic in GLP-1 & Other Weight Loss Medications (NEW!)
Dr Jarvis way back had a book out, said Apple Vinegar as natural as possible and honey were GOOD for you. Maybe about 60- 70 time span. He felt Apple Vinegar in the morning helped lose and maintain weight. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Mary Maxwell-Dowling, what a neat classy mouthful that is! I'm 72, a future RnY- er. HW355 CW323 BMI 47, strawberry blonde hair, hazel green eyes, once upon a time I was a cutie-pie, now I'm just a Big Mama. But I plan to be a little slimmer and trimmer, my GW is 170 to 175, will I make it? Well I'm gonna try.---Hey there are over 50 and over 60 postings on Bariatric Pal, look one or two of them up and join in. I too look forward to fishing, gardening, walking and maybe a little bicycling, all the things my 2 bionic knees and weight haven't let,me do. We're the Baby Boomers, we still Have our fire, drive and spunk, elsewise we wouldn't have survived to this point. I live in Central Ohio, within a 60 mile radius my entire life, an only child, widowed almost 6 years and have one son left who lives with me. I am so lucky he wants to be with me as much as I want him here. I also have 1 daughter who lives maybe 7/8th of a mile from me. I call her R.D. short for Rotten Daughter, I see her when and if she wants to see me. We all have a relative like that, it was my misfortune to give birth to mine. Ah, I will not let the thought of her drag me down! Through her I have 2 grandaughters, Amy the younger one is a Sophomore at Ohio State studying Forensic PreMedicine. Naomi the older one was married for nearly 2 years, came home with her tail between her legs& in the midst of a divorce. I assume it will be final when one of them gets sufficent money or finds someone else as an incentive. I'm not supposed to ask too much( per RD,) it only depressed poor Naomi to talk about it. What does she think, Naomi doesn't know it? Oh Whatever! I just praise God there are no great grandbabies stuck in this mess! Sure I'd love g.g.b. but not in this unstable situation. Write back if you' d like, I'm on here a lot. And I will get my surgery, some days I'd like to put legs on my prayers but I trust our God knows best. Remember Greater is He that is within us than what is in the World. I cling to the hope of a future, both here and in Heaven someday! Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Dang you're one of the few Texas didn't grow bigger, I'm 5ft8in ,323, a BMI of 47+, dreaming of a goal of 15/16 or in the range of 170-175, will I make it? Shoot I'm gonna try and try my best. Wanna hear a Texas joke? I was planning to spring it on Fluffy Chix but you're my victim instead. Question:Why is a Texas girl's hair so big? Answer: Because she's hiding so many good secrets! I just love Miranda Lambert's music. I March around my house singing Not my Mama's Broken Heart, drives my son bonkers.! Snicker snicker! I sure ain't no Sweetheart of the Rodeo, I might not live forever but I'm going out fighting and swinging! And at 72 I am a force to contend with. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

A lot of peop k scare using Miramax. I've used it myself, I got horrid constipation from narcotic pain pills after my last knee replacement. Tasteless, I put mine in a bottle of water and shook the snarf out of it to mix well. Drink it down as quickly as you can. I've known people who,put it in juice or coffee, okay I confess not many of my friends are weight loss patients but you perhaps could stir it into shake or clear protein water? Anyhoo it works smooth and easy, and never griped me. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Waiting is the worst part
frust8 replied to Elizabeth 06388's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah Keira Fae I agree. Where in the True North are you located? We seem to have a couple in B.C. , 2-3 in Alberta, some in Ontario but nobody from P.Q. or the Maritimes. And no Yukon, Northwest Territory et all. Do no First Nations people seek surgery? I'm in Ohio, was in BC for the Centennial of Confederation, otherwise I've been to Pelee Island, Point Pelee, Kingsvilee and Leamington Ontario. Have a peaceful smooth day. Fluffy is there any way of varying the ricotta bake so,our friend might not tire of it so fast? An idea that came to me, salsa instead of spaghetti sauce and taco cheese instead of mozzarella. Would this firebird fly? You're usually more imaginitive than me, and yes i still enjoy and still trying, your recipes. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Band to sleeve success stories, please.
frust8 replied to themaestroswife's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@the maestroswife, one reason could be you're older when you're seeking revision. I am still a WLS virgin, still planning surgery#1, a RnY, I know that makes me a minority in this forum, but another reason I weighed in is --there are many posters on Bariatric Pal who say their Hashimoto's subsided or went into to total remission after the sleeve. Watch your portion size, get your fluids in and watch out for sneaky slider foods and you'll be a good weight loss story. You will probably lose as much as you want to, if not you'll still be at a healhier point. Keep the faith Ladies, good things are ahead! Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Ned S- finally someone my age! I was 72 last birthday, will be 73 December 26th. I'm still planning a RnY, live in Central Ohio and am still planning surgery in Columbus, our State capital, 50 miles to my SW. I can see you have being a grandma-hood down pat but tell me more about your sweet self. I am beside myself with finding a peer, and that's not easy because there are few benches that wide! My road to WLS has been bumpy but I'm a stubborn person and will make it through to the other side. Also we have several over 50 and over 60 threads on here, look them up for even more friends. There's a fair number on here, usually sleevers 53% and RnY and other bypasses 47% but we're all nice ladies and a few guys, and they all are perfect gentleman. In our generation our Mamas raised us right! Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Remember BCBS are insurance people, they plan to economize and keep that budget low. And they are never keen to pay out. Do you have a statement from your Bariatric Surgeon, telling them your health will be adversely affected if you don't have plastic surgery? If you don't have that as a starting point you might as well go outside and howl at the moon because that greyhound ain't going to run! Praying that things will go your way, BCBS is just praying you just go away. And that's the way that mop flops! Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
