I believe your surgery, was a good thing, both for you and your health. Your body has received a shock, all major surgery is a true shock to the system. Your physical body is trying to come to terms with what has happened. It seems to be like- smooth day- hey what happened to me? I must realign!-smooth day- I must realign!. As time goes by the realigements will become fewer until they are non-existent. This is my belief in your recovery. In the meantime get your fluids in ,eat slowly your foods & follow your surgeon's rules and it will all smooth out! Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

And I am still seeking the very surgery I was denied on February 20th, not by insurance but by the doctors in a Bariatric center I had put my trust in. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Isn't it sad the world looks upon the package and not the contents? From one belittled Mensa who plans to be little to another. God Bless and keep you safe. I hope you'll continue to be a poster here.May your March be a good month of change, April a month of progress & May, your birthday month, one of triumph and joy. 48 Hours to A Day of Hope!!!
frust8 replied to frust8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Thank you Your advice hits on the subject at hand, I'm sure I can find someone else whose credentials are equal to this task. I do know someone, but alas not a Ph.D, another with a medical license instead. Does this person outrank the other? Perhaps only comparable, Wiley Coyote called himself Genius at Work, surely I'm as good as a cartoon carnivore. I still will venture forth for my cause, now to enlist this personage before too much time elapses. I am, in my way, as worthy as those who have gone before me.As Don Quixote did, I have my own windmills to battle. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Issues with my eye sight and glasses since I no longer have diabetes
frust8 replied to Karlnjax's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Charity, I would go with an opthamologist they are also MDs as well as eye specialists. Sounds like your eyes are going farsighted, early for it to be part of aging, so get it checked out. Might just need a new glasses prescription. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
48 Hours to A Day of Hope!!!
frust8 replied to frust8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have an appointment with Riverside Saturday the 10th If OSU doesn't work out. Will you have Dr Rana or Dr Sonnenstein, hmm I'm not sure if I spelled his right.? You probably can figure out Mount Carmel screwed me over. After all this happened I even made a tentative with my local hospital KCH aka the local bandaid station. They just started up limited bariatric last Thanksgiving. All they do as of yet is lap band and sleeve, I don't want a sleeve, I want the quicker weight loss of RnY, I have moderate GERD, gastritis and Hector my baby ulcer. Hector came from too many NSAID, I was taking 3-4 per dose for my arthritis. I have had the Big A since I was 25, started out being double jointed, if you are you run an 85% chance of early onset arthritis. I have 2 knee replacements, should have had a left ankle fusion back in 1978 when I had an avulsion fracture of my tib-fib, Grant was to blame for that, had my right thumb operated on in 2016, have a plate and 12 screws in my upper right humerus, a Workman comp case from 2010. Oh I'm a bashed up broad, aren't I? But I'm going there optimistic and will try to listen with as open ears as I can summon. M C promised they would release all my records on proper forms submitted. They owe me at least that, d*** their dirty little hides. I don't know what else OSU will require, hope it isn't too much so I can get this surgery under my belt,so to speak. My class reunion is going to be this August,I would like to look so good nobody recognizes me. If you look around to my other postings you'll see I'm pretty level headed and I give very good advice. At any rate thank you for being my friend,I never can have too many of those. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Yes Nnoi I'm living proof of that. Read my 48 hours to a Day of Hope, (it's under General Weight loss), it does happen but tomorrow I hope to get it all straightened out. It is a 1 in a million chance that such a thing could happen. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Waiting is the worst part
frust8 replied to Elizabeth 06388's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good luck with it all Elizabeth,I hope your insurance clearance goes through smoothly. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Have they done another EGD on you? Maybe just maybe what you're feeling is gastritis, perhaps something to with your remaining stomach. Did you have a sleeve? sometimes they can do a sleeve reduction. They would go down with a smaller gauge tube and retighten things up. Somebody else had it done recently on BP. Did you have a bypass of some sort? If you did it might be another problem.Really sounds like your hunger hormone started back up. You might have an anomoly location in remaining stomach. It is puzzling. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Lady out. But at your weight you are obese, will you get surgery? In US you're probably need more comorbidities, In Mexico they would probably do it. Ask Dr Illan at BariatricPalMX or Bill Yanez there. They have a National City California # so it's not an international call. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

For All You Peeps in Selfieville!!! Burning Question I MUST Know!!!
frust8 replied to FluffyChix's topic in The Lounge
Orionburn I didn't have any Jello But you distinctly almost made me spit my dentures in my lap. And FYI my cat Cassie does that all the time, I think in pet-dom that's a compliment, I trust you so much I'll put my rump in your face, just in case you want lick it clean.Geesh, I've had dogs do similar to me. Want to ask them, do I look like a washcloth? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Because you knew it was the right decision for you. For me, my weight is backing me into a corner, I know without surgery I'll get sicker until I die. Obesity has ruined my quality of life, I don't want to be like this anymore. I suspect, you felt many,of the same things. Sure you feel a little rotten, gain seldom comes without pain. But every day you are going to be a little stronger, a little healthier, the tenderness and pain will subside. Even if you don't dance in the sunlight you'll,move smoother and easier. And those are basic reasons for it all. Get your fluids, eat your proteins and veggies when your diet advances, you are gonna be fine and dandy soon. You'll be telling all the new people on here, I did it and you can too. Buck up its got to get better. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Scared thinking of canceling surgery
frust8 replied to Sarahrosesb's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Both of our advices are good, just different facets of what needs done. You do matter here, we all do. We are all traveling on this journey, sometimes we stumble, hopefully don't fall but we keep on keeping on until we reach the goal. Take our hand if you need to, here you are among friends. Scared thinking of canceling surgery
frust8 replied to Sarahrosesb's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Please get your surgery, has your doctor sent you to a cardiologist for clearance? Listen to what they say but I hope you'll still be able to have it. I'm here for you, you don't have to face all these things alone. Okay? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
My son, is 38 almost 39. I hope he'll still find a good girl and make me some more grandbabies. Surely your daughter- in -law wasn't the last nice girl out there? Blessings to all of you. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Please get the band out. What you have sounds SCARY. Another thing you want to avoid is Barrett's esophagus, the symptoms you're having could predispose you to get it . You do not want this, it is a precancerous condition. I lost my cousin JuneEllen who I dearly loved to esophageal cancer. She was 68, died on the table at Cleveland Clinic. She thought she had some mild indigestion, she could wait until it got worse, maybe it would heal on its own. It was 2 years come May and I still miss her like it was yesterday. Maybe you'll be still okay but I doubt it. You may be walking around with trouble, do you really think it's worth it? If I had a hash tag it would be # do you think it's really wise to wait? Hokay let's do some thinking. You know you have a period before and after eating you can't drink so you can't wash it down or you'll wash it right through into your intestines. Are you getting plenty fluids in? If you were my kid, I would change up to a different temperature. Warm things usually go down better. Are you making your bite amounts teeny tiny? Barely the tip of your spoons worth. If all else fails put in a call,go your surgeon's office or least your PCP, maybe they can give you peace of mind on this.
