  1. QuincyW --thank you for your post. I am planning RnY at (ready for this?) 72. Much as I love all the youngens' having surgery, and I do, most of them are good kids., but I can't always relate. I plan to be active the rest of my earthly days, don't know how long I'll be granted, none of us do. [emoji3]But I will face it with all the gusto I can summon. You give me somehow hope. It doesn't have to be terrible because I am a nontraditional age. Somethings may be more difficult, I can accept that. What I can not accept is the painfully heavy body.I currently live in.[emoji20] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    March 19 sleevers

Make[emoji252] for your Date of Destiny tomorrow morning with joy and peace in your heart. You have made it this far and you will make it the rest of the way! All good thoughts directed to you![emoji14][emoji14][emoji14][emoji14][emoji14][emoji14] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. Do you have to start the dreaded liquid diet soon? Some people seem to have 2 weeks, some 1 week, some just the day before and some not at all. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Oct bypass

Both of those, I can't eat much at a time but it feels like I'm hungry again 2 to 2,5 hours later. I ate oatmeal (which used to keep me feeling full) 2 hours ago, now I feel like I never ate at all. [emoji20]It is so weird, in some respects i feel like I am post surgery. All of the detriment and none of the benefits.[emoji25] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any March 2018 Sleevers?

Don't be anxious, you are in the home stretch, first comes the travel, then the check--in, then comes sleepy time and when you wakie wakie , your new and improved life begins. You are a good example for us but even more for your kiddos. You're showing them Mommy has her act together and you'll be here for graduations, weddings and someday grandbabies.[emoji214] Grandbabies are nice, when they make you tired you send them home with their parents.[emoji549] You rat on their parents to them and get away with it.[emoji12] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Hey I found out our local Wal-Mart does carry Halo,Top. $3.89 for its tiny container. Funny but right now I'm not the least bit tempted. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Hiatal hernia and sleeve surgery

You must be the Hernia Honey.[emoji3] Gosh I hope it all gets straightened out. I'd like to have been a fly on the wall to hear, your doctor say "Guess what YOU have again!" Funny to hear but I'm sure not humorous to live. As the Gastritis Gurl I'm not so much laughing at you as with you. Ain't life weird?[emoji14][emoji14] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. ElseeG [emoji7]weren't you at one time going to Michigan for Dr Pleatman? What happened that you're going to Texas instead? [emoji3][emoji14][emoji3] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. I'd like to eat or have you cater a bariatric meal. Some of the combinations you've come up with sound strange at first but the more I read they actually sound tasty. You are the Van Gogh or Leonardo DiVinci of food. And yeah, New England Clam Chowdah, ymmm! I loathe Manhattan , one time I had it NASTY. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. I've heard from Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire but surely there are people in Vermont and Maine going through WLS. And I never have heard,of anyone from the Maritimes, truly i have only seen it in pictures but hope someday to see the real thing. Would enjoy hearing of your struggles and joys along the path to weight loss. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. I understand how if you have a sleeve the ghrelin producing part of your stomach is gone. My question is: with a bypass does this area go dormant or does it continue to produce hunger hormones? I have gastritis presently pre surg and am not sure if it is that or the ghrelin giving me hunger sensations? If a bypass is not going to help me, should I be rethinking surgery? Oct bypass

Gastritis, my gall bladder has been gone for 35 years in February, went to my gastroenterologist with symptoms, wondered,if I had something like a stone in pancreatic duct? See it doesn't pay to be super intelligent, you just think up more illogical explanations. After testings all that showed up was gastritis and. Hector ,my itty bitty ulcer,in the antrum of my stomach. But I had gallbladder like symptoms. Now I'm on Dexilent because the weaker ones just didn't work.[emoji26] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Onederland FINALLY! Progress Pics

You look awesome in onederland. Makes me want to move into a condo there someday. And strange to say @ Creekimp you look like someone I'd like to know in my real outside life. A friend ofi mine has a daughter named Ella you resemble strongly. She's a nice girl but you have your head on straighter. Of course she's only in her early 20s so still has some emotional growth to do.[emoji28] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. Would something like Beano help? As I think back, I had a v relative who chews and swallowed sprigs of parsley, said it sweetened things bodily.[emoji28][emoji28] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Isopure experience?

I have a small container of off brand. sf gelatin cup. Should get the dumb thing out and pitch it. Ate the other flavors but this tasted like cheap cough syrup. Plus I dropped the brother of it on the floor and it bounced into the corner of the room. Do I want THAT in my tummy? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. BiddyNZ I [emoji307]you and your postings! Reminds me a little of my MIL, her rationalization was if you stand up to eat the calories leave your body through the soles of your feet. Therefore you don't gain. The rest of us would be sitting enjoying our family parties, dinners etc. There she would be barely balancing a plate of food and standing, over us like a 5ft 2in condor ready to swope in. MIL and her family and, iwould wave a magnet over fresh fruit especially bananas, their reason? If you demagnetize something it gets rid of pesticides. Never could explain washing it instead. 20. Horrendous Halitosis, Foul flatulence, Fabby Flesh Absent Appetite, Nasty Nausea Sneaky Stalls and Terminal Constipation, Good thing I really WANT this surgery because all that would scare a lesser person.. But my Will is firm, my commitment strong and I'm basically stubborn as a mule. I have heard one can choose friends well you didn't choose me so I must be part of the family, a big world wide Bariatric Family. And we will all be a success! 22. Since my gastritis is making me feel like what you have described after surgery I might as well practice setting good eating habits now. I am having trouble teaching myself to chew more each bite and swallow slower.[emoji20] I think I have been a bolter and fast eater.[emoji20] Maybe I should learn before I'm forced to post -surgery..[emoji12][emoji12] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Let's Play A Game!

A new thought for everyone: Do know where cold water on something comes from? Its when hot air meets thin ice. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. What little bit I've,lost so far pre surg my belly has got less firm. Not jigglely but softening down . And my face has gotten thinner but I was giving credit to age not weight, loss. My arms, wrists and fingers never were fat. My rump and thighs--' that is a different story. I could smother a full grown person with my rotund rump. The day I can sing Bye Bye Buttocks Bye Bye will be a happy day in Chez Frust8.[emoji7] And the Thunder Thighs won't even be a soft rain. I'll go through liquid shake Hades to achieve thst, yogurt and popsicle myself,to the verge of extinction. You all did it, well by gum I can do it too![emoji324][emoji324][emoji324] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    March-April Rny-ers

Shoot I should have remembered because I teased you about Dr W being a super star of Bariatrics I would prefer to meet him over your Governor or my Governor (who I knew because I campaigned for him in Columbus when we both were younger) and certainly not President Trump, who my son loathes.[emoji27]🇺🇸 Somebody said something like isn't he from your party? Nope I grew up as a Republican not a Trumperterian, I'd turn Democrat,or even a splinter party first.[emoji26] I am happy and excited your day is coming! Please let me know how everything goes, okay? PS I just watched your you tube, very nicely done.[emoji12] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
