  1. I'm a mom, let me tell you, she is proud already. You may be a grown-up adult and I'm sure she accepts that. Please remember down deep inside her you are still her baby, the little girl she rocked, sang lullabies to,the little one she. promised herself to raise to be a good human being. She is going to be so very proud of and for you. Moms know when you hurt, sometimes before you yourself realize it. Call it Mom-Dar, call it anything you wish but it is an universal trait. She will throw her arms around you, hug you for all she's worth and maybe cry a little. But proud? Honey she will,be over the moon proud![emoji13][emoji106][emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Beware Corn on the Cob

Yeah I have and it seems to take days before it and I part company. Just dribbles along out of my colon.[emoji44] A little story, bear with me a second. Ok I'm ready. My son who is now an angel and probably watching over me as I write, had many food allergies, among which one was corn. Poor kid, he asked me once " Mom, what does corn taste like? " Had to think a minute and then said "Well corn on the cob tastes a lot like cooked zuchinni and popcorn a lot like your rice cakes" He thought a minute himself and said "No wonder people like it so much!" It's been 10 years, I still miss him so much. When I see his schoolmates I wonder what he would be doing at each stage of their lives. Would he be married, would he have children, would he be satisfied and happy with his life? Yes you do heal after a while but it's like a keloid scar in your inner being and sometimes the scar still hurts.[emoji8][emoji8][emoji8] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. Bummer-I was hoping good things were starting to happen for you. The old line is "It's for the Best" not certain of that but at least you're stable and not worsening. The 27th you'll know more? That's only a little over 2 weeks but it seems like forever, doesn't it? Well I'll always be anxious to hear how the story plays out. You've always got me as a friend. Keep me updated. There is hope yet for us old gals

What article @ Sosewsue? All I see is your post, that of[mention=14356]Fluffy[/mention] Chix and the statement that I'm going to love something. Only Harry Potter was into invisibility cloaks. God knows I love many things in life but not a mystery I can't solve. So huh? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  10. Zoftig girl---- you using the term" baby doctor" reminded me of another of my stories. I was laboring with baby# 2 in a teaching hospital, coincidently the same one I'll be having my Bariatric surgery at. Resident leading a bunch of interns around. Stood right by my bed and pronounced " this gravid uterus of 6cm dilitation" at this, point I interrupted him and said " this uterus is surrounded by a living breathing human being who is perfectly capable of hearing you. Hi my name is....." He turned red and then apologized, and I was not a little sorry that I embarassed him.Appears the interns weren't the, only ones who had something to learn that day.[emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Welcome Dan and hurrah for taking this step forward. Yes your grandson needs his grandpa to teach him things. Your posting made me harken back to my own maternal grandfather and the things I learned from him. That's where I gained my fascination with weather and the changing of the seasons. He would take me for walks around his farm, tell me about different things and sometimes we would just sit and watch the clouds. I always, enjoyed his company and he always seemed to have time for me his little, redhead grandgirl. From him I also learned to enjoy reading the Bible. He told me no matter how many times he would read it he would gain new insights. Your grandson needs Grampy to teach him him how to fish, maybe hunt one day, but, certainly to be his hero and also his friend. Now with the weight commitment you are making there's very good chance you'll,be around to enjoy each other. Pictures are nice but they never replace a living breathing and loving life grandpa ! Best wishes for both of you,now and in the future. And hi from me in the the Central part of Ohio.[emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Dr Weiner says people with mobility issues should choose bypass, it was covered in one of his YouTube tapes. I would say that would my choice, but I'm not you, its your body, maybe you should discuss it with your surgeon, okay?[emoji12][emoji338][emoji12] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
