So what Mattymatt if you can't boil water, just nuke in the microwave. Your talents lie elsewhere than chef-dom, don't belittle yourself, I do too much of that myself, if I can reform you can too. We are a couple wonderful multi-faceted individuals[emoji13][emoji7] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Are 2 anesthesia procedures before VSG too many?
frust8 replied to VSG&me's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You will be fine in my mind. A lot of people have endoscopy within a short time before WLS and I doubt if the hysterscopy would be that stressful either on your body. Think of them as tests more than surgeries[emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Hey also check, out BariatricPalMx.[emoji41]Hospital Alex Brecher the founder of Bariatric Pal was having a revision to mini bypass this week with Dr illan, if he trusts him with his own life the doctor has to be GOOD! And the prices there have got to be more reasonable than US or Canadian ones.[emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Intro time: who's new to the group, who's pre-op, & who just recently made it to the loser's bench?
frust8 replied to xoxococojay's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't been my goal weight since I was 15. Looked up on a BMI chart, according to the one I checked 26.7 is considered in overweight column, don't care that much, it ,to me, would be attainable and potentially sustainable and at 72 now and probably,73 by the time I make it down that low, I will be 1 happy camper[emoji590]. Know I would never be a bikini candidate, too many stretch marks that criss-cross, but I would like a swimsuit in something besides black or navy and no little skirt on the bottom. Never could see the wisdom of that style, did the manufacturer think that would hide my Thunder Thighs? It don't, you know! They are still there --cellulite and all, but I want to lose the dimples there. If I still have to have cottage cheese thighs--[emoji21] let's make it very small curd![emoji7] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Oh you are not, even an old cowgirl like me gets the blues or whimwahs from time to time. Some days it's "Am I going to let them control me or am I going to control it"? You have got to stand for something, stay the course or you will no longer be ahead and you have to play catch up, and that will be harder. I am of an age where I do not make myself extra work if I can avoid it. Some days I don't feel good and have to budget my energy. But I manage daily to get it done and done well. Life is a strange ole thing, you may think you've got yourself centered and then someone or something moves the ends. I'll never strive to be average or ordinary, you are as close to failure as you are to success. Be extraordinary, there is only one of YOU so do it well, The world may need you to fulfill something special![emoji7] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

I'm having the same problems with Job and Family Services, other than showing up in person you cannot reach them. You try calling and you are redirected to 1 800 646 OHIO, (i think)if you do get through and it's not a guarantee, you go to a menu, hopefully what you want will be there. If not you punch 5 and then you wait and you wait and you wait. I had something relatively minor one day, weather was slippery, so I called in. After 45 minutes I got an disinterested broad who said " Mam you should take this up with your local county office" Gee,i sure would but they're Hiding. I would call but there are no # that rings in there directly, that's why,i have you! Ees not her problem! Why do I keep jumping through their hoops? Because Medicaid is my secondary and if Trump has one of his hissy fits and shuts down the Federal Government or defunds Medicare I have to have something to fall back on. Plus whey. does constipate a lot of people.[emoji21] What flavors does it come in? I'm allergic to chocolate and so,often that's about all one can find. Can't afford a gym membership? Walk at the mall. Learn all you can about your future procedure, a calm mind is a happy mind. And enjoy your journey. Any questions? Well the old adage was: The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Well you lubricated your case so well it slid right on through. Way to go Kid![emoji7] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
My future surgery, my dream and now you are my little pioneer! Linzlulu now relax tonight, plant peaceful and joyous thoughts in your mind, you know it's your time, although it is difficult to give over control of your body even for a short period, you have built up trust with these people and you know nothing bad will be happening. Tomorrow you will go to your bariatsic facility, put on one of their nasty ugly surgical gowns. In my facility they are grey with a red abstract design, but what can I expect? It's Ohio Stare University, the home of scarlet and gray! You will curl up on a gurney, have an IV started and soon go Sleepy Bye. When you wake up again , you may be stiff, you may be sore and you might even be nauseated. You'll be in a room with surgical techs, nurses and other good people all watching over you and keeping you safe. When you are ready you will be up and walking, sipping and seeing the sights in the unit. Bottom line, you'll do just fine and you'll have a Bari-sister in Ohio jealous as snarf, cause you'll be where I long to be! Oh the wheels are turning for me to join you, I just don't know exactly the speed. But,it is going to come, even if I have to use a box cutter and fishing, line and do myself. I will be sending happy positive thoughts your direction tomorrow. And be sure to tell me all about it as soon as you feel like posting, because I WILL BE WAITING! Yes usually they do, check GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, even my local health food store Down To Earth carries soy and other plant-based varieties. And check at Target because I know Wal-Mart handles a vegan type variety, if they do Target or Meijer probably does too. Might take some searching to find it but your health and YOU are worth it![emoji12] Shoot K Mart might too, not sure because our local one pulled up stakes and left town. It may mean that your sub consciousness realizes what a toxic relationship you had with food. I can admit my own because I know and realize it was an abuser that controlled me instead of me controlling it. And like many others of that ilk it told me " I'm the only friend you have" well I finally realized I no longer needed such a friend and the tie must be severed. On surgery day Unhealthy Food and I will be divorced. You are stronger than I for you have already done it. I salute you LakeishaNicole.[emoji7] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
