    Any March 2018 Sleevers?

You are swollen still from 1. Just having had major surgery 2. You had tubing in your trachea to assist with your breathing while unconscious. 3.you had an endoscopy tube down your esophagus and into your stomach to help size your sleeve properly 4. You had been NPO since midnight the night before? Your throat might have been as dry as the Kalahari Desert. Even with a lot of lubrication things might have scraped a little going,in and when they were removed. Hey it should rapidly get better day by day, you'll soon be fine and able to smile about this chapter in your journey.[emoji12][emoji12] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

People that don't update their profile.

NY ---a problem Alex and company haven't fixed, if you access BP from a phone, even a smartphone, instead of by computer/tablet there is no function on the options to update phone-wise, that is why many spell it out on their postings. Hw300 sw280 1st GW 200. 2ndGW 165 etc. I'm sorry but that's the way the old mop flops.[emoji38] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. Bentknee are you private pay or are you going through your province's plan? Mrs Gamgee in Red Deer Alberta is going through Alberta's, even though you Canadians have Universal Healthcare it seems like it's taking her forever. Not truly complaining, I [emoji173] her like a sister, she has helped me over a blue period a short time ago. But you guys and our cousins in the UK, truth told many of us are, they transported many of of our ancestors here, we used to be their penal colonies before Australia, UK if you go through their NHS you're looking at a wait. Strange, Australia also has Universal Health but they're on a fast track there, sometimes even quicker than the US and we complain about 6 months of requirements.we have only one Bari-friend" Biddy NZ" in New Zealand but it sounds like hers was pretty quick also.[emoji14][emoji38] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    My man said I cheated

And some of us are not merely hormonal, we have emotional baggage. Part of us (myself included) put up with verbal abuse in the past, swallowed our pride and yes it leaves a hulking big lump in your throat, believed it was our burden to bear, and the way things were supposed to be. Even nearly 6 years post---remnants pop up in my head at times. It was rough to believe in my own self -worth but now I do and I realize at this late date in life, I am good, I can stand on my own 2 feet and people like me for myself, not an extension of my parents or husband. And Darlin' we don't mean to come across bossy, we just want to prevent you any pain now and in your future dealings. Call it the Mommy or Grandma in me but I hate to see anyone emotional hurting, okay?[emoji70] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  19. And where are you located? I call myself the Bariatric Godmother since I'm about the oldest(72) active and have a strong sense of helpfulness. My advice: look for a Bariatric High Risk surgeon at a Center of Excellence hospital, preferably attached to a teaching university with a medical school. They are the creme de la creme in their field, you have to be up to date to teach future doctors and surgeons. Let me use ME as an example. I don't have a diagnosis of CHF but I do have lymphedema and venous stasis in both legs. Although I'm not the star pitcher I am playing on that ball-field. I live in Central Ohio, I will be having my RnY surgery at Ohio State University-Wexner Medical,Center in Columbus, our state capital. OSU is a Bariatric Center of Excellence hospital, has been since the early,2000s. One of the pioneers in minimally invasive laprascopic surgery if I remember correctly. I'm not sure which of the doctors will be mine, I suspect the Chief of Bariatric Surgery because of my age. I am not as high risk,as you,but my age would give some doctors pause to reflect. I am in good to excellent shape for my age, my PCP calls me a 45 year old trapped inside a fat arthritic 72 body. My BP, heart, lungs, and diabetes status are better than his and he's in only his mid-40s. I passed all the prerequirements for another program, they "kicked me to the curb" after being in their program since August 2015, very rare occurance so no worries for you about that. My records were transferred to OSU where I probably should have gone in the 1st place, I have a 2 hour psych appointment with OSU staff psychologist Dr Kramer April 25th, then depending on whether they require additional testings, it could be as soon as early May, might be June sure hope it won't be July. My high school reunion[emoji621] will be August 11th, I had hoped to look so good nobody would recognize me![emoji14][emoji626]Oh but que sera sera, whatever will be will be. In the, meantime I'll stay the course in an upbeat frame if mind[emoji304] If I can help any other people on their journeys, hurray!!÷ Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

New here and to the process

Welcome, ask away, I guarantee there will always be someone who has been through it, had it happen or at least done extensive research on any subject. Don't be concerned about your age, many on here much older, I myself am 72, so old enough to be your mother and I'm going through surgery myself. Youngest, maybe 18, we are worldwide and we all went you to have the best experience possible.[emoji14] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

And then you dance in the sunlight[emoji93] chase rainbows[emoji304] and achieve all those things you've been dreaming about. And won't that be cool?[emoji14] And best of all it is my hope and prayer to join you in the sunlight of good health[emoji14] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
