And it contains 18 calories, the same as a teaspoon,of sugar. But probably better for you, no glycemic crashes[emoji12] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

If you had any of those little baby medicine cups that might work too. Next time you go to your pharmacy ask if you can have some, they usually have them for kids cough syrups and they probably wouldn't charge for them as a courtesy to you, the customer.[emoji7][emoji12][emoji7] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Any April surgery buddies
frust8 replied to Relle2190's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When my day[emoji414] comes, and I pray it is soon, I hope I share your sense of humor. Mind you. I will be planning to check for excess fingerprints [emoji252]on my sweet bod, 5-7 tiny[emoji380] slits ,that will be ok. But no handprint[emoji112] and I may dust my lady parts for fingerprints also. Scrubbed to the knees, hmnn, I hope the surgical soap comes in gallon jugs, because I do cover fairly large acre-age. Maybe they had better use a bar- b -que brush or better yet a paint roller. If they charge my insurance by the square inch, the bill[emoji412] just went up. And they had better have sufficent anesthesia, I don't like being cold and being nekkid as a newly hatched jaybird could just wake me back up! My son could tell them "she gets cranky,[emoji58]when she's cold!" I will probably never forget that day and before they are through with me they may not either.[emoji541] If you feel the earth moving and shaking about that time, it is not the New Madrid Mo. Fault shifting, it's just ME.[emoji117][emoji14][emoji118]And alas 6 other people will know whether I'm a redhead all over or not![emoji57] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Successful surgery but able to eat too much
frust8 replied to Bryanmb's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
OMG can hiccuping be a sign of being full? Was eating tonight, chomping along, something that hadn't provoked such a response, all the sudden I had stop eating because I had what I call urpie burpie hiccups, good thing I stopped because I started hurting and I think my dinner might have come up with another morsel. I have heard of you "after surgs" having something like that but unless it's my gastritis causing this learning curve I should not have this now.at this point. But I'm going to respect it because maybe my body is trying to warn me? And maybe I'll understand and know the teaching later. I have been diminishing portion sizes, chewing well to get ready for what will be later. I figured my worst bugaboo was going to be not drinking with meals but not this. Maybe my body wants me to learn this lesson too. I just don't have any other explaination.[emoji6] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
I might indeed, thanx for believing in me, now I can start to believe in me too. It may be doable![emoji14] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Thank you for telling us, I,for one, feel honored you shared this secret with us. I am waiting for my surgery, maybe May, after curves and a threatened derailment of my journey on the weight loss road , I am fighting what seems an uphill battle to secure a RnY . Started my battle in August 2015, now ready to proceed with program # 2 at bariatric center#2 for hopefully not a 3rd set of requirements, I should have clairification after April 25th 2 hour meeting with OSU psychologist Dr Kramer in Columbus Ohio. There are days I toy with the idea of novacaine, a box cutter and 30 wt fishing line and doing my own . I have begged, pleaded ,jumped through hoops, crawled through minefields of quasi regulations, slithered across broken glass, had various portions of my anatomy scanned, prodded ultrasounded and groped to no avail. Every portion of my gastrointestinal system is there except the appendix and gall bladder I gave up 30+ years ago.[emoji10] I have answered questions, allowed my psyche to be probed, and presented myself in abject humiliation to have surgery and it still has not happened. If this is truly a journey I have gone around enough hairpin turns to last me until infinity. But I have resolved not to let it triump over me, I will subdue the Bariatric dragons in my path with my Rightness sword. And surgery will be mine![emoji7][emoji626] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Are you Getting enough Fluid in also? When your body is not moist enough every pain is intensified, are you giving your body a chance to rest? Stressing will also make pain worse, you have been through major surgery, although you are strong and capable of a lot, give yourself permission to relax and recuperate.Other than all my "old wife" type suggestions If it persists consult the medical people in your life. You and your comfort do matter![emoji6] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Still Waiting for Surgery Date
frust8 replied to Neon Star's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
May 7th was my late son' s birthday, he would have been 42 this year, died at 31 so it's been a little over 10 years. This year with your surgery date I have something positive to think of on that date.[emoji6] You would have loved knowing him, I still miss him, so does his brother. Each milestone in life, I wish he was still here to share them with us. He would have been proud and supportive of my weight loss struggles, I know I'm losing this weight for myself, but a small part to honor the faith he always had in me.[emoji56] So on your day I will cheer you on but there will still be tears in my eyes![emoji8] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Always wanted to know what Victoria was so secretive about, no more Added Dimension or roaming in Roamans, I'll never be a petite but when the fat shell breaks, I come out of my body cocoon I could be a Junior after all! Hmmmn, wanna hang around and watch? Might not be for a few months but it COULD happen![emoji173][emoji14][emoji173][emoji106] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Wow how much smaller are you planning to be? At my pre surg big girl size an 8 sounds tiny, but I realize everybody has a personal goal for themselves. I know there are people on BP starting where I dream of finishing, a 15/16. But wow, an 8, maybe even I could go there?[emoji18] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Getting your fluids, doing your walking and following your surgeon's instructions well? By now the surguical meds have washed out of your system, hopefully the fluid bloat and gas are getting better? Bottom line, how are you feeling today?[emoji7] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

And holding a blubbery liver back could also bruise it. We had an OP on here suffering from post-surgical liver problems. Think I'll listen to whatever my surgeons says and make my liver clean, lean and fit, even if it takes the dreaded liquid diet[emoji22] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

My friend's sister-in-law has the long gray hair, looks like dirty seaweed, not at all attractive. But like you said, she probably always wore her hair that way[emoji15] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
It took 6 weeks for my belly to go down after baby#3, doubt if mine will flatten any sooner after this! Main difference:- I got a cute little baby that time, this time I have to make my own kind of cuteness. A challenge but I'm up for it, are you too?[emoji6] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

And the measuring units are gauged as French, same as urinary and other catheters. A 30 French is roughly the thickness of your 1st finger(if you're a man) index (if you're a woman) the higher the number the thicker.See I knew my medical-type pseudo education might come in handy.[emoji14] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

10x my weight, OMG that works out to 3230 calories! Eating that I'd be big enough for my own ZIP code, no maybe more the size of Australia. Let's cut me back to 1000 or less, okay?[emoji22] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
