Well many of us are pussycat whipped and my local no-kill shelter runs adoption ads frequently with pictures. I tease mine by saying I want to adopt more. My Sqeaky jumped on the newspaper one evening and I swear she said "No", she and her sister Cassie like their exclusivity contract. They are both sweet, if they were human Cassie would be class librarian, Sqeaky, would be a cheerleader, bouncing around cheerfully. Oh I love both, spoil them and would hate life without either one![emoji197][emoji197] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

I’m Interested-What Kind/Brand Of Protein Is Everyone On?
frust8 replied to MACPOWER's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ymmn it does sound good, so much I see of the premade is chocolate and I'm violently allergic to that. Maybe powdered with almond milk would be a good option. Still lurking for brands then I can make an informed choice when closer.[emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Surgery date April 19 -- Bypass
frust8 replied to ojosbrillantez's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
In holding pattern until April 25th when I meet with psychologist at OSU, then I should know more. Maybe earlyish May, it depends on whether my credits from previous program all transfer or whether they will require anything else. I'd like that to hit someone or something, I'm really a peaceable person but I loathe inaction. I want,to move ahead and go to surgery.[emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
No but I did hear of someone who had ivy leaves and then a thinner trail connecting them. I'm an older generation:my first thought, she had more money than good sense. But I gonna admit if I had money enough it might be pretty. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

H20 with Crystal lite or mio? They have beaucoup flavors, surely you'll find one you like. I like cherry lime or kiwi strawberry as 2 examples. Weak green or herbal teas. Puzzle on it a minute, I also like Nestle splash waters, no calories there. My favorite Acai Grape, next in descending order, mixed berry, mandarin orange[emoji521] and lemon.[emoji522]. Powerade Zero , Gatorade Zero. 1 star out if 10. How about a small squirt of either lemon or lime juice, the real thing, not those nasty plastic critters in the produce department. Maybe its all in my mind, maybe not
frust8 replied to ThatgirlEmLo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This is not easy for you, I know. Try this: every time you have a good temptation knocking at your mental door, say to yourself "Too Bad but That Food is on Vacation. Not expecting him to return soon". Then do something else, walk, turn on tv and see if you can find a low impact exercise show. I have Spectrum/Time Warner and there is a Senior Citizen one , sometimes I just March in place, go wash your hands, you might not be cleared to vacuum but how about dusting? If your house isn't dusty come to mine, I have gas heat and 2 cats, one must be shedding some winter fur. Go lurk on Bariatric Pal if all else fails, see if anyone has a problem you've already solved, if so, give them your advice. My former bariatric surgeon didn't love me like he should, didn't respect me enough to do my surgery. Guess I could have started a thread about that, but I didn't. He may think he's well rid of me, well jokes on him because I KNOW I'm well rid of him. I've lived too long to hang around a man who don't want me, be it professionally or out in the real world. I'll take,my little hand, wave my little hand and say Bye Bye Dr M, you had your chance, you blew it then I 'll give him the thought of what a door can do to him. I don't get peeved often but when I do I'm H*** on Heels. So pfft on him , and while I'm thinking of that I'm not hungry at all. Make your own kind of music today because only you, know the right song to sing. And I'll catch you on the flip side![emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Madhattr have you considered endoscopic sleeve gastroplexy? They often do it on people below 35BMI at least that is what I've been told. Not sure whether it would give you,the results you seek but might check into it.[emoji6] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

In reading submissions from my bari-friends I have seen troubles with BCBS,United Health, Tricare, Blue Care Network, Medicare and Medicaid administered by state goverments. Are there any insurance entities in the US who treat patients in a kind, compassionate and decent manner or is that too much to ask of insurance-dom? Good that you want and looking forward to zip lining. You won't have me joining you there. I have acrophobia, fear of heights, I get more than 1 or 2 stories and the panic monster wants to take over. Sweaty palms, nausea. and wanting somewhere I can be safe, hidden and treated kindly. Yeah I've got it bad and that isn't good. I can't remember a time I wasn't scared of heights, even when I was normal proportioned as a little girl, maybe there is something sad about a fat woman who's crying like a small child. So I try to keep my feet on solid ground.[emoji20] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Funny but most surgeon's lean toward sleeve if you've had abdominal surgery or I guess even c sections. Even if you had scarring , it's easier than wading through scars snd adhesions trying to find the right portion of small intestine to do anastomosis on. IBS, Manpower is correct, it's a medical judgement but if you want my humble opinion sleeve for you better. Besides if your intestines are cranky with IBS, that should help keep them slumbering. But discuss it with your surgeon, he might have a deeper concept to present. Its up to you and Senor Medico.[emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
