It can bumpy or it can be smooth , hard to predict at this point. I can tell you that b at times it will seem intense. To me and I hope to you it is all worth it. Pre liquid diet jitters
frust8 replied to heidiw007's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Heidi w007 may I make a quick suggestion? I am just about your size a little over 300 lb. Something I like and maybe you will too. SunKist tuna in pouchs. Comes in multiple flavors, it like chicken would make a good cheat food. I open mine I'm also presurg but trying, and add diet mayo to moisten. You could eat it totally, plain but this way it's as good as tuna salad without the bread ,crackers, or other carb containing things. And it usually keeps Mr Hunger Monster at bay awhile. And isn't as dry and choaky as chicken can be. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Yep thats one time you want out of Dodge as soon as possible. Be it ever so humble there's no place like home[emoji7] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

I still plan to take Biotene( for dry mouth) and GasX(for gas bubbles etc) and chapstick. A hairbrush because we girls like to look smoothed out, not like the Wild Woman of Borneo. Besides I'll probably have dark circles under my eyes and drawn out looking because I'm Celtic pale with strawberry blonde(okay okay I admit it, RED) hair. A little under 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide, I don't tend to fade into the woodwork real easily. They had better have taken Paxil or Mellaril because I'm Coming. They have only a month or so to brace themselves[emoji13]LOL Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Approximately 4 months post op
frust8 replied to cyclerob's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Cyclerob you and I (age 72) have an added burden , Mother Nature wants to tell us "Slow Down, you are a Senior Citizen". I try not to listen to the old broad, she and her husband Father Time have done a number already on me. Are you Getting enough Vitamins, sleep and fluids? Got to keep them all taken care of for peak efficiency. Are you Getting plenty of B12? That's a prime energy one along with the rest of the B family. Just keep moving, remember older age and treachery will beat out youth and foolishness every time. You and I are Boomers and the best. We may be the next Great Generation now that most of our parents have died. I'm almost always on here if you want to talk more. Boomers rock, and you and I are them![emoji13][emoji13][emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Check with a few of the reduced rate websites, GoodRx is one that comes to mind. Also check with the manufacturer yourself. I see commercials all the time saying "Astra Zeneca may be able to help" if they do maybe others will also. Another poster said he/she found a way to save $60 of a $120 prescription. Just saw it a little while ago.[emoji13]Update it was siilykitty on B12 nasal sprays the same? Look it up, okay? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Stand up, that will help everything drain into place with gravity's help. How long will it last? Until your inner renovation looses its, swelling and relaxes a little would be my guess. Everything takes a little time![emoji7] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

Was anyone an outpatient for surgery?
frust8 replied to biakitty's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Nice post surgical tummy, doing well at healing. I'll never have a six pack tummy myself but if I can go from a burning barrel to a small beer keg I'll be happier[emoji39] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

Could be nothing more than overfilling or you need to burp. Take your right arm, put it over top your head and reach for your left ear. Sometimes that will bring a reluctant burp up[emoji95] especially if you stand up at the same time. Sounds goofy but it usually works.[emoji13]And remember we all [emoji173]and support you in all your decisions![emoji106] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -
Via con dias, amiga! Since you are in Mexico I thought that might be appropriate. Every good wish for a smooth surgery[emoji40] and speedy healing.! 40+ what is age appropriate clothing to you?
frust8 replied to Healthy_life2's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
And I don't have to look pathetic at 72 [emoji70]trying to dress in the wardrobe of a 20-30 year old.[emoji68] Smooth and tailored for dress-up, t-shirts[emoji155] and jeans[emoji158] for casual although in Ohio this time of year its usually sweats, I try to dress in pastels instead of generic gray if possible. I do get cold since my fat layer is dissipating.[emoji19] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app -

And well you should be DOMI! So excited for you. Go forward with hope in your heart, peace in your mind and trust in your surgeon[emoji40] and staff. Today is your day,you are the star of this undertaking. Make it count and count victorious. I would if it were me go on liquid diet couple meals a day,if not all.for a week or so before. Make your remaining like low carb, high Protein and vegetables.[emoji501] Just because it isn't required doesn't mean it's not a very good idea. That's how I plan to react, I want this surgery too bad to have it snatched away from me. At 320ish a chubby liver for me is as sure as bears[emoji199] sleeping in the nearest woods. Just because they aren't easily visible it doesn't mean they aren't there.[emoji199][emoji13] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
