Surgery is tomorrow and I think my anxiety has gone through the roof
Frustr8 replied to Jon_gets_skinny's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
And the day and night before mine I was certain the surgeon was going to back out on me!!! See I had struggled for over 3 years, been through emotional times and into moderate depression. Was about ready to the atypical meds because it wasn't abating. See I wasn't actively seeking suicide , I just wanted to sit, hide and wait for Death to come. Felt like this would be another time of "You're such a failure you can't even do this right!" But with the last of my will I had try this last time. And my surgeon didn't fail to show up, he gave me a smooth sleek surgery, and I hope to prove day by day this was theright time, for the right reasons and it wasn't too late for me. And the black cloud of depression has left me and I face a new future with confidence. I may not be perfect, but pretty close Baby, pretty close!😝❤😝🌸🌺 -

Learning how to live with this is like immersion therapy to learn a foreign languagr, very gratifying when you acheive fluency but scary as heck until you get there. -
Know I have, my natural body style is the Great Pyramid of Egypt, narrow at the top, wide at the bottom. Was really nice when I was pregnant, at least until the belly pooched out, my chest counter-balanced the rump adequately.

I would say you are getting close to intervention time, that said, check with your own Bariatric nurses and staff. Some surgeon's are more fecally- inclined💩than others. My own was 5 days and we start stirring Miralax into your protein shakes, 7+ days we bring out a " Bigger Gun" Milk of Magnesia, 10 days and we really "intervene", didn't happen to me but my guess is an ER visit, an abdominal scan, and then whatever it takes to empty YOU out!

Torani makes nice syrups too, a little pricey for me but then- who's. more worthwhile than ME?

And in 2021 or 2022, there is always the Calgary Stampede to dream for! You'll be all smooth and sleek by then and have the endurance to do anything you WANT!

Don't know if Coffee is always an appetite stimulant but it makes a Dandy Diuretic. And for me, it seemed to stimulate defecation, always had a post- breakfast 💩daily.

Truth is a good and desirable thing, shame some of our politicians never learned that. A saying from my younger days. Pro Means for something Con Means against something So can we really expect Progress from Congress?

Questions for all of you that are post-op!!!

And I avoided that by using and still use liquid calcium, costs about $5-6 at Wal-Mart, not that thick and viscous and tastes just like orange push-up sherbet. And I loathed chewables, nasty-tasting, hard to chew when you have dentures, as soon as I could I went back to my prenatal vitamins, they aren't all that large, a little smaller than Tylenol caplets. My secret, take a small mouthful of liquid, toss the pill in and let it ride the water- slide down, Use a little ingenuity, med behaviors are not etched in stone, make your own kind of music each day! -
A good little motivating force for improvement. Well time for one of Frustr8's stories. My late grandma Hubbell, my mama's mama always wore clean clothes including underwear in perfect condition. She had a horror of the postman's horse or later-on his station wagon, running her over, she would have to go to hospital and she might have mended undies on. Oh the shame of it all! Told her once , stay out of the road Grandma, stand. up on the bank if necessary, and just Borden sits in the middle of the seat, it doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't KNOW how to drive! But THAT was her biggest fear in life. Mine would be living there, 6 miles from town , no phone , electricity, running water in a 6 room house heated by wood. But when I look back, there was love there, chores to keep you from. sitting inside depressed and a chance to have an unimpeded view as God changed the seasons, and each has their beauty about it. So maybe she lived a neater sweeter life than me after all!😋🌸🍀🌺🌲🌞

Surprised by this! Thoughts?

Hmmn😋I wonder if Precious Pouch and I will ever make it there? She likes to follow the 2oz at a time plan exclusively. -
I think of all the Decafs Folgers makes the best, I do miss coffee a little, see I'm allergic to chocolate so no cocoa for me, even sugar-free. I do like teas , drink them later in the day or make decaf stevia- sweetened ice tea . But if Precious Pouch allows me, I may make me caramel premier protein and Folgers Decaf occasionally. At last report she is healing her inner surface, but does this mean I can have my AM warm drink again? Was afraid to ask Dr Noria, feared she wouldn't think, it would be advisible.

Always nice to get a new recipe or. 2, a new way to organize our ingredients. Puree doesn't have to be totally tastekess!

Bought 2 glass shot glasses at Wally World , they have been my go-to- s. Also bought a bag of those little plastic condiment cups from, over in gricery, they also hold exactly 2 oz A few times when I wasn't sleepung, I set up my morning pills in them and snapped the lid on. If I managed to fall back asleep they would be ready and waiting for me. No digging them all out one by one and lining them up in a row like good little soldiers.

Speaking of Sports teams: Anybody who has some time free a little prayer🙏 for my Columbus Blue Jackets. The Puck drops at 7 PM. EST. They are currently up 3 games to none over the Tampa Bay Lightning. This may just be the year we make it to the🏆 Stanley Cup! We are doing better than all our franchise history! And I am a smooth excited by the prospect. I like hockey, Late Lamented did not so I have yet to attend a game And but I can watch them on cable. They also do a lot of nice things for the Columbus Ohio community, in and Out of season. -
