SEPTEMBER 2018 SURGERIES AND SUCCESS
Frustr8 replied to Frustr8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
And today Sunday the 28th of April. I look like somebody bashed. the left side of my face, right side a skosh puffy but the left, my oh my, it does not look real healthy! But the UTI is repenting so maybe it is okay for that, must do better than Augmentin or the cephlosporins or I would have gotten prescibed something else. I just am trusting it will be better by Tuesday when I have my next appointment in Columbus. I look as though I went several rounds with Rocky Balboa and that isn't the way I want to present myself. -
Stricture- How do you deal with the awful feeling you're going to throw up?
Frustr8 replied to Briswife15's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Warm as opposed to cold or room. temp liquids. Other than that you are still at the mercy of your beleagured gastric pouch. Oh I hope your EGJ goes well Tuesday, I have an appointment with my surgeon the same day, perhaps they will tell me the Plan Of Care they have formulated. Think that would be Only right. -
Almost 5 weeks out and feeling constantly nauseous
Frustr8 replied to iliana00000's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That is so odd that I believe you are telling me true. Can't quite make that up! -
Tell me it’s not always going to be like this!

Excellent suggestion, codeine usually sickens me before I come close to addiction, so simplify your life. -
Pain left side below rib cage

Underskin reinforcing, stitchery, some doctors like a stitch or two put in when they withdrew the trochars If you were a sleeper I would say that's where they withdrew the stomach you no longer need, but you're a Bypass like me so that idea doesn't fly✈. -
Banana Pancakes! No flour, only 2 ingredients, bananas and eggs!
Frustr8 replied to megansmommy123's topic in Vegetarian, vegan, raw foods
Well if you can substitute pumpkin for banana, hmmm how about left-over sweet potato or leftover winter squash pulp? I like nuking sweet potatoes like you do.Idaho white potatoes, split them open and a teeny bit margarine or butter. Used to sprinkle brown sugar on there too, but if you get good quality ones you don't need the sugar. -
Wish you had known before?
Frustr8 replied to shellyk018's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I guess I could start out. I assumed when I started losing my fat, the skin would be loose and hanging, but mine isn't. Its like bands still there, almost like corduroy fabric. We shall see if it finally smooths out but I find it weird to look at. And if it weirds me out, I'm not showing it to a guy, so nolovers until I get closer to hoal! -

Some post op questions.
Frustr8 replied to Teri B's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Yeah so far I have hit my targets pretty close to what Grady Cat said, but it took close to 65 pounds before I really changed sizes noticeably. But then I was 300 and a half at the start, in my 220s now and hopefully working still towards 175. Don't expect to hit goal until 15-18 months out but I just could surprise ME. Good Luck with your future surgery and recovery.🌈😝 🌈 -
Not a whole lot but just another silly policy. Maybe a bad example?

And you will really rock, this! So quick that you don't even have time to deveop dread or fear. Get some rest tonight , tomorrow will be your Big Day!

Almost 5 weeks out and feeling constantly nauseous

So ice pics is a symptom of low iron levels? That is a good thing to know, hope that mother is better now. -
Wow , what a good list, good for you suggesting it and I wish you great luck on dislodging your extra weight!
-
If you had stretched something out, seems like it would slip right down, unless that bread is the only good you have, don't bother with it. You may require mamometry or a endoscopy to find out what's really going on. Lets hope it is nothing more than esophageal spasms!

Since surgery a 2 month old horse, from highest weight on record for me, an average American woman. Gap until I reach my personally planned goal, a nice juicy bale of Ohio hay. But I vow to never become as heavy as I once was, cause that was a NFL lineman with the average oils and fat Americans eat in a year in his arms.

Around Columbus Ohio, which is where I had my surgery, 6 weeks. Got approval 7/17/2018;had my surgery early the morning of September 5th 2018.

And I hope you do get it straightened out, GERD is a Rotten Thing to have. -
I know Lady Sin is from Michigan and I know I have seen many more than just her. Usually are more of them than from my state, OHIO!

Can we talk about food aversion
Frustr8 replied to newmebithebypass's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Add me to this sorority, made Tomkitten Baked Fish, parsleyied potatos, and a tossed salad. I had a bowl of my homemade cream soup with Genepro stirred in. Yeah in theory I could have had a little bit of the Fish, it was Cod, but I don't want to. Seems like every time I try to add a little something, even well-chewed, Precious Pouch leads her own rebellion. So why argue and end up wearing it? -
Protein making me nauseous
Frustr8 replied to Brent701's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You could also add Crystal lite powder. I hadn't made a run for more Strawberry Ensure max protein, poured vanilla protein shake in my blender bottle, added. a pkg of Equate(wal-mart brand) Wild Strawberry drink oiwder, after I mixed it well it was doggone good, so I tried Peach Mango in another, also good!🍶 -

Or choice#3- you may be developing gastritis or growing an ulcer. I truly hope your answer is behind Door#1 or Door#2, but I have been to get better from #3. and pain at the bottom of my sternum or along the Right Subcostal area ( just below ribs) are the hallmarks of my ulcer pains, see I also have them in my small intestine,, that's the right side pain. Been on Carafate since last October, 4 times daily. 6am-noon-6pm-midnight, and so healing is going on, albeit slowly. It is what it is, gotten used to it, do okay with my vitamins, recently having difficulties finding a space for my calcium that is 2 hours from multivitamin or iron pills . I was put on extra iron just before my iron INFUSION in March, the iron levels didn't go up as quick as they would like, so INFUSION and then I can still take my Ferrocite as well. Not sure when my next blood test is.👈😝👉 -
And here I was worried that I would be even shorter because of losing the fat pad on the soles of my feet. In my prime I was 2 hairs under 6 feet, now my nurses and surgeon tell me Frustr8 you're only 5ft8in, so weight and menopause must brought me down. I must have the spine of a osteoporatic mackrel or something!🐟Pat me on my dorsal fin and call me "Fishy"!

HAS ANYONE ELSE NEEDED TO LOSE WEIGHT TO BE APPROVED FROM YOUR INSURANCE??
Frustr8 replied to tal's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
They may be merely seeing if you are committed enough to try losing even before your surgery. -
Go with no more than 4 oz, 8 oz could and probably will reflux back up. Do you enjoy puking just when you're trying to move on? Believe you me, I can do enough for you and me together, I've had a stricture and things do not drain out well with a teeny tiny hole left. So I either stay on soups and thin purees or wear it! Word.
