And I have attempted Decaf once or twice, with the strictures and jejunal ulcerations I have, even that sets me off. Although my stoma is getting better there will probably be gastritis lingering, the sorrow and pain, for me, NOT WORTH IT!

Surgery Tomorrow ๐ (5/13/19)
Frustr8 replied to Ruby Hernandez's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Keep peace in your Soul; a smile upon your face, the conviction in your โคthat you are doing the right thing for the right reasons, you are in the right place with a surgeon and bariatric team you have trust in. You are the ๐ Star of this production; everything is in preparation for you alone, Your Mama would tell you,to " Make Nice- Nice " so I shall also. No matter how tender or uncomfortable you may be when you wake up, still smile through it all! And remember pain has o,ly a short season, Joy and Pride in Yourself will last forever. Besides your nurses and Doctors are human, the most pkeasat patients get,the perks, they get their call lights answered faster, and you will not be a source of gossip in their break room. See I have been on both sides, the caregivers and the care receivers, and I Do Know What I'm talking about! Take a stuffed toy or small pillow with you if you can. The first time you cough or sneeze without a soft friend you will feel like you have disemboweled yourself and that sure is not a fun sensation. And please remember we all have had surgery or we are getting ready to, we do understand how you're feeling. Try to get some sleep tonight or you will be wound tighter than a $3 watch. And lastly , update us when your surgery is complete, we will โคhearing from YOU! -
And think of your Rosy Future after you recover from Surgery and start your New Better Life! THIS may be your Last Plump Mother's Day today!

Please go onto surgery as healthy as possible, this is your life you might be risking. Want you to have only the best results, surgeon might withdraw your clearance if you have an Active infection, don't put the Dentist 's. the Surgeon, YOU could be the loser in this equation.

Be Careful that your Electrolytes don't get screwy, Sodium Bicarb is not necessarily a real good choice. Does your surgeon know and permit this? My cousin ate so much Sodium Bicarb that he kept Arm and Hammer in business all on his own. Turns out it wasn't Simple GERD back then in the 1990s, he had Cardiac Disease undiagnosed until then. Luckily there were things that could be done, died last year at 85.

But Oh My I do still miss her so much, her death was a warning that I should live, but I wish I had her here to be proud of me TODAY๐ผ

isn't it kind of ironic so how this all happens to play out? I think I might have facial amnesia, I forget that's me in the mirror. Read somewhere on here that it takes 18 months to fully recover, THAT'S WHAT IS WRONG- I'm just looking SICK! Well that's my story, might as well stick with That Line! -
And I think THAT is a beautiful NSV Paula! Congratulations to YOU!โค
-
Yeah I know just exactly what you are going through. How is your iron levels? A couple times I have complainee and my blood tests show I am anemic enough to require an Iron INFUSION.
-
May you be Smooth and uneventful from, now on#๐โค๐
-
And I wonder if I will ever,be able to,eat, this and not have it feel like a basketball that never moves#
-
Well it is a concentrated sugar solution, I would see if your surgeon would grant you dispensation for it, know it did help pre-surgery. Post-surgery since I am a RNY, I'm too scared of causing my first "dumping".

And a Good Idea can be with its weight in Gold!

Surgery release question
Frustr8 replied to sunsetchaser's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At my hospital before they do EGD and in my case EGJ, they come to the waiting room, ask each person waiting there are you Mr Smith or Mrs Jones or Ms Johnson's Designated Driver and you have to also tell them your cell phone #, then and only then do they proceed with the Endoscopies. Must have had something bad happen back in the past to act that way. My son said "I am Frustr8's son, my cell phone is xxx-xxxx, although I am not her driver this is our driver sitting next to me. That particular day it was my girl friend Kay. And it was all Good. -
And a heartfelt ๐for your answer there!

Be very careful but get a clean bill of health. The bad thing is a lot of minor health blips are surfacing for me, Thyroid nodules, renal cysts, an thoracic aorta aneurysm, sleep apnea a rotator cuff in both shoulders, right one repaired, left one probably when 1st one heals, finally got confirmation I am on the high end of the autism spectrum. The good part is: most of these are in early stages so can be controlled. So I am grateful I have seen enough specialists that these things were all found. But I at times feel like the diagram from my cookbook of a beef cow with all the different cuts marked, I begin to feel like they may also be tatooing their favorite parts for future reference. And yes basically my Health is much better!
