And here I thought ripe avocado tasted like bacon on the firstplace!

You may have to go to soy or plant protein. And whey provokes reaction more than isolate.

Well I am now merely Obese instead of Morbidly so, and I feel it is a definite step in the right direction. BMI barely 34 after starting 51 or 52, Yippee Yahoo for littler ME! Can overweight be very far behind?

My choice is Ensure max protein in Strawberry, reminds me of Strawberry Quik.

So so right, and our Detractors seem to feel Heaven gave them express permission to act in this manner. This is why it hurt me so badly that a person I had thought my friend said to me" Because you insisted on pushing yourself to the head of the line, younger more deserving people lost their chance for Bariatric Surgery!" I cried and cried, not in front of her but when I got home. I never wanted anyone or anything to suffer pain because of me. I would save all the cats and dogs of the world if I only had the funds to do so.

And AZHiker mine is " I AM MAKING THE REST OF MY LIFE THE BEST OF MY LIFE! A struggle, most things that are important are, but with the support I get on here and by God's Grace I am going to make it!

May 2019 Surgeries 🎉
Frustr8 replied to Ruby Hernandez's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I arrived at 5am,had my surgery at 7am, my Wonder Wednesday was now close to 9 months ago, it ranks up there as a foever special date, along with my wedding and my 3 children's birth. That was my Surgiversity, and like the Phoenix Bird , our of the ashes I was remodeled, realigned and reborn! And may yours remain so special to you! -
Ooh mammograms, you youngins are lucky these days. The old machines were beasts. There they cram a sensative portion of your body into their vise, and then they started cranking . And then you start crying from the pain, when you go from sheer pain and start in cursing and threatening to kill their entire family they would back up one degree. And many times I would hurt from it for days and even had bruising a couple times. The technicians these days are polite and gentle, I always think the pink bandaids they put over your nipples are rather cute. Last 2 years I have had mine in October which I guess is Mammogram/ Breast Cancer Month. Well both years my local hospital has given me a little gift along with my peace of mind. One year it was a large scratch pad, pen and refridg magnet, last year I got a cute mid-sized tote bag, not that fakey easily torn papery type but real cloth that would hold up. Still have it, still use it, when I pick it up I say a little prayer for all my sister's who weren't as lucky as me!

HELP I'm so stressed and I SMOKE
Frustr8 replied to michellehill's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will have to make a decision here. Which is more important to you- that cigarette or marijuana you've craved for a half-hour or that thin, healthy fit body you have wanted your entire life? Your call, but most surgeon's will tell you smoking slows or stops in its tracks, healing from your surgery. You will make your anesthesi and pulmonologist work harder to keep you stable, it may even be harder to wake up from your surgery, assuming they even perform it. That's a scene that doesn't need played, darlin', it's not an easy thing to stop, I was married to a smoker for 44 years, OH he stopped, but then he would start up again! Knew he had Rheumatic Fever at 6, still did it, his late Mama called it Dramatic Fever, still a grain of truth there. He didn't die of lung issues but his demise had cardiac overtones, and if he had not smoked so long he could have survived it instead of dying on the 4th of July and leaving Tomkitten(out son) and I to pick up the pieces of his life and debts. Sorry if it seems like I'm being rough on you but I treasure each and every one of my Bari-Friends, Michelle, and I DONT WANT TO LOSE YOU TOO! -

ANYONE CHEAT ON THEIR PRE OP LIQUID DIET?
Frustr8 replied to CESILEYRAE's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was so scared of still having NASH I voluntarily put myself on a Liver- Shrinking Diet the Entire month of August 2018- and it WORKED. My surgeon only had to make a teeny portal for the liver retractor, it was the first one to heal, it is only visable now because right below my sternum I had no previous stretch marks. My lower abdomen, ah that is another story, I had 3 babies at or approximating 9 pounds in weight, and wouldn't you know, they each choose a slightly different angle to rest in! My perennial joke-My belly looks like the road map to Indianapolis with all the State and County access roads clearly marked. A good benefit to weight loss? They are actually getting narrower with less internal fat pushing them out. But alas, no bikinis, no 2 piece bathing suits, my skin looks like a 10 car pileup on the Beltway! -
Bless their Pointy Little Souls- still ROFLMAO with everyone else!

When did you reach your goal weight?
Frustr8 replied to egs93's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My Bariatric Team says at my one year anniversary date(September 5th) or shortly after. I would like to lose about 35 more pounds but my Surgeon's Right Hand Woman and Nurse Practioner Valerie would be thrilled and well-satisfied with just 15--16 more pounds from where I am at now. My feeling- if I am enrolled and completing the Weight Loss Olympics, why not go for the🏆 Gold, instead of Siver or Bronze? -
Weirdest things you are looking forward to after surgery
Frustr8 replied to Krestel's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I want dresses that are pretty in color and style. No more dresses that look like I'm wearing the chair's slipcovers. They make too much clothing in liver, nausea green and Baby poo yellow for my taste,, do manufactures actually think we will be so grateful for, clothing to cover our nakednessis that we won't notice or care?👕👗👚📦 -
Weirdest things you are looking forward to after surgery
Frustr8 replied to Krestel's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Relatives will no longer call me " Hefty" or Wide-Load,perhaps They will have to come with something nicer to say, I looked to see on our grocery. list. a couple ideas I have ready to purchase. That's why I still keep my Sparta options open in case town- living gets a bit much... -
I have nearly lost my bangs, my hair is thin and what is left doesn't want lay down or behave. But it still. has Good Time facets to this weight loss wagon train I am on.

Ribs, collarbone, even a few hipbones showing. My wrists and forearms, really look like thin people bones. And when you lose your Rump Fat, you feel like the back. of your pelvis is going to pop through, so the same seats you needed help getting out of, now they are so hard to sit very long, dang things make you hurt! And I think now the swelling in my ankles has largely gone, so I can see those bones too.

Will I ever be normal again!?
Frustr8 replied to Mrs. Hayes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Watch out for your stoma narrowing down, this is a stricture or stenosis, and I am a veteran of that war and also have ulcerations in my jejunem- the send third of our small intestine that our pouch now attached to. Mine I believe to happened at 2 weeks but I did not have a confirmatory endoscopy until 6 weeks past my surgery date. And I have been fighting it every since. It really is kind of rare, but you will find there's me, Briswife and Mousecat all active. I believe my Bari- bud is the one closest to having all facets rectified. But I do still vomit frequently, my pouch is tender, sometimes it feels like Precious clenchs herself like an angry little ✊ fist, and I have a lot of right subcostal pain, that means right below the ribs, that is where my ulcers, the great majority, of which are there. Oh my weight loss is wonderful, 150 down from my Highest Weight, and 98 at last weighing since my surgery. But it has been a bumpy journey getting there, at this point. almost 9 months, I had expected " The Good Times To Roll", OH I don't think my Bariatric Clinic is that worried about me, but they are merely watching, I'm having to LIVE IT! They just seem to call it All ---Atypical. Healing Procee. Well Whoopee Ding isn't that just so special!!!🚩🎪🚩 -
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO GET A SURGERY DATE FROM THE DAY YOU FILLED OUT YOUR QUESTIONNAIRE?
Frustr8 replied to CESILEYRAE's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went the seminar at Ohio State on March 10th 2018, received my Surgery Date July 17th 2018,my actual Surgery Date was September 5th 2018, so a little less than 6 months from first contact to Actual Surgery Date.👼👍😛❤ -

I think I'm the front tiger in that picture, wanting to kick back and relax. Yeah I know exercise is good for tigers too , but don't it make my black stripes gray?

And I ❤ having someone else wash my hair, makes me feel like Cleopatra with handmaidens to wait on me!
