And mine is also starting to shape better, mow if I could do something about my ugly face. I think I now have wrinkles like a basset hound on either side of my mouth. That and the fact I now have high, pfominate cheekbone, freaks me out!I have one of those faces, look pretty okay in life, but if you take a picture, it is so 2 dimension, all you see is someone that looks so bad, they should have buried me and maybe they still will.

Frustr8 replied to BrighterSide's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I can tell why people compare their weight losses 1, You rationalize it!--- Same time Same weight loss 2 Yiycsee Suzie or Sally be- bopping. along, walking 5 mikes daily, never nauseous, never dizzy, skin snapping right into shape, they don't have areas on their tummy or thighs that look like deflated rubber balloons. which leads to #3 3. Maybe I'm doing it all wrong. Maybe when's have more bloods era when they will find my vitaminn leveks al screwy , maybe I am so malnourised that there may Not be a any, hope of fixing ME. -

What is a NOLA gal like you doing in Viet Jam? Is it business or a pleasure trip? Don't know if I could go there or not, I'm sure it is TRULY beautiful in 2019. ME----- I remember the Viet Nam War,too strongly, just my hangup, I probably wouldn't visit the EUROPEAN concentration camps either, I avoid locations of human suffering.

Anyone have experience with needing to be dilated after gastric bypass?
Frustr8 replied to Taranurse 1's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Oh yeah Baby, I am the Queen of All that- June 12th will be either my 12th or 13th lifetime, 10 after my RNY bypass with the strictures and jejunal ulcerations, This should be the last, if it is not at the desirablecstate surgery may be ahead. They have repeatedly dialated, thought at first I was just with an opening that snaps shut but it was more due to the ulcers and swelling present. But it is what it is and will be eventually corrected, in the meantime my weight is decreasing, lost about.110 pounds, give, orbtake since surgery almost 10 months ago to,IT will be 5th of June 10 months. Not the journey I expected or was planning but it's still good and May take me where I need to be. -
I am a red-head, at best we are the fewest hairs per square inch, just had my have cut to a d.a., wore this style at 14, don't gave the swoop ducktail, but if my hair is cut short it does tend to wave and curl.So going that route, wigs are hot, always found them uncomfortable and I just don't have the money they cost!

He had better consult with his surgeon. I have had many of those things and I am a bypasser with a stricture, food can't pass through. This is usually a gastric bypass problem but not all VSG are exempt. And if one variety doesn't work, tastes so bad you can't stand it, there are many others to chose from. The kind that works for me isn't one you commonly hear of. After 10 months of protein shakes one does become a connoisseur, I finally found one that doesn't choke me up, has flavors I can stand and doesn't totally break the bank. And lastly your son may have developed a temporary allergy to some of the milk proteins, there are soy-based, or plant- based, personally I don't like them as well but they are a total God-Send for many. There are always answers to every question, just not always easy to find.

Focus on where you want to go; never focus on your Fears. And Focus means Follow----- One --'-- Course--'-' Until --'-' Successful. Start Walking, enjoying nature and your surroundings. This will get you prepared for pist-surgical exercise. Follow your Doctor's instructions, they have been in the business longer, seen patients through this before, they know what works and what doesn't. Yeah We Are All Different but most of the basics still apply. Practice taking small sips, after surgery you wont be able to chug like a sailor on shore leave. Slow down the speed that you eat now, the practice will stand you in good stead. And every day be grateful, you have been approved for surgery, many people didn't get approved, they would exchange places with you in a. ❤beat. And change is a part of challenge, if you really look you can see the word within it.

May 2019 Surgeries 🎉
Frustr8 replied to Ruby Hernandez's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well it is to be expected; you are about to embark on a journey that will last the rest of your life. Yes you have done a lot of the preliminaries, but as my Late Daddy would say "Its time for the s*** to hit the fan!" Gosh I miss some of his witticisms! You know it is odd the things you remember. I remember being a mini-Frustr8, attending parades, my little town had lots of them, and Daddy hoisting me up,on his shoulders so I could see better. And how safe I felt! I normally have acrophobia, fear of heights, but never with Daddy, he kept me safe. And I'll close with a thought from my motivational app, says it pretty fine. " Don't think what can happen in a month. Don't think about what can happen in a year. Focus on the 24 hours in front of you & do what you can to get closer to where you want to be." Love 💘, hugs and prayers🙏 from Frustr8 for all your Tomorrows. -
Very nice progress, your little ladies are lucky to have MAMA as good example, maybe they won't have to go through what we have by now. ❤ & Prayers.

June 2019!!! Surgery Siblings!!!
Frustr8 replied to BulletWithButterflyWings's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
And debbiddle, this is going to succeed, work with this second chance, I'm 73, still a work in progress, almost 9 months out, lost over an 100 since surgery day, 150+ since my highest weight. I worked over 3 years to get it, I want and will make a success of it. Close to what my Nurse Practioner wanted meat but I'm not stopping, I want to be a size 15 junior and weigh 175, let's watch and see if I make it! Last time I saw them the estimated date I'll reach goal is my anniversary or slightly after it. I figured it might take me 18,mo ths, so 12-13 months; that would be so cool! -
If you feel like talking, there are several of us on here who have had strictures, I had an RNY, have been fighting it and jejunal ulcers since October 2018, a month and half. after my surgery on September 5th. Been a long time, healing, but I am hoping, for resolution soon. In the meantime I have learned to roll with the punches. My journey has not been average, that's okay, I am a Limited Edition anyway. And still in most ways I am much better than when I started. My High Weight was 365+ on a 5ft8in body, I am now just a skoosh over 200 pounds, haven't been weighed for maybe a week, 214 then, been losing about 3-r pounds a week so maybe 210? In some respects it is what it is, but I try to keep my fluids in, on a pureed diet basically, a lot of soups, broths, protein shakes, that is what my pouch accepts and handles. Had a PICC line for 3 months, was being fed TPN 12 hours a day, have had mutiple endoscopies, I think 13 Lifetime, another scheduled June 12th, have had to have an Iron INFUSION in March, but afterwards I did find renewed energy. What next? Don't know but I am a resilent old chick and I WILL,MAKE IT THROUGH. So I'm here if you need an understanding virtual shoulder to cry on, okay? 😝❤🌈

June 2019 Surgery Siblings!
Frustr8 replied to BulletWithButterflyWings's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some of the flavors are really tasty, some aren't, that's the way many things in life are, I believe I liked the Cream of Mushroom the best. A little watery but remember I was raised on 4%milk and real butter, my aunts. cooked like a threshing crew might be happening by, always enough a stranger could be fed, one Aunt always set a place for Jesus, the fact he never quite showed up didn't deter her. -
I saw a bumper sticker recently " Don't reward yourself with. Food You are not a dog who learned a New Trick! " But we were stuck in Columbus afternoon traffic, wasn't going to walk on I-71 and ask where they got it! All I remember. it was a Chevy Cruze in Silver. They used to make them in Lordstown OH.

Well my guess is they will tell you to continue it for a period of time after surgery too. A lot of people are able to phase it out though within a couple months. Yeah, do follow your surgeon's lead, he knows you better than we do!😝

Oh I do love steamed veggies, my late Mama- in- law threw soda in veggies, overcooked them to where they were a jaundiced yellow. Hubby told me he didn't like veggies until I steamed them, and I had to arm-wrestle to even get my share. His favorite got to be broccoli, cauliflower, baby carrots and baby onion, he'd put cheese on his, a touch of butter did me and the kids. just fine.

Last thing I had in the ice cream family-' Lime Sherbert. I bet now I would taste the butterfat in regular ice creams. Besides most everything in that aisle at store- Chocolate- been allergic to chocolate for 44 years- so no Siren Song for ME!🍦

Did you ever notice we go into Weight Loss as Omnivores- yet all the medical people we consult do their level best to turn us into Herbivores- " Eat Clean, Eat Green and center yourself around salads!" Curious, isn't it?👈😰👉

Overtraining & Stalls???? Frustrated.....
Frustr8 replied to GansettRam74's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well Healthy life 2, my ortho says I can re-exercise my operated arm, he'll sing for me to have PT at any of the facilities around here, I am starting by lifting food cans as pre- handweights, call it vanity but when I do go, and I told him, I'll tell him where I went my referall to go. You know cans of tomato juice have some weight to them, I'll give at home, then when I go, have a therapist or trainer I won't look like such a 70+ worn- out wimp. But I am going develop as much strength as my mostly shot joints will allow.
