    I'm in Onederland!

Well my BMI is officially 31,4, this puts me in the cusp between obese and overweight, less than 8 pounds to Onederland, and I do believe I'll make it soon! I start toπŸ’¦ sniffle a lttle just thinking about itm I did fear I would never get THIS LOW in weight, yes they did tell me I WOULD, but when you have been lied to about things that you wanted really really Bad, it is hard to believe and trust. The emotional baggage is slowly leaving me, but I must have a train case of sorrow still left. But I shall, I will, achieve this milestone, I WANT IT FOR MY OWN!

    Stopping estrogen before surgery?

Not That Bad a post, you're speaking from the πŸ’˜And no one should fault you for that! I am on the other side of the coin in one respect, Doctor just recently asked me Are You sure You Haven't had a Hysterectomy? like I haven't paid my dues. I'm pretty sure I would know and nobody ever told me it was a prerequisite to Bariatric Surgery any way. Makes me feel like a slacker, after all! Told my inquisit or You WAnt it, you can have IT, at 73 no great loss anyway! And then at least One Of Us will be Happy, Doctor Dear!

    Ulcer question

I forget ;were you a VSG or a RNY? I ask because you may not retain enough stomach acid to digest and use Calcium Carbonate, the basic chemical in Tums et all. That's why they usually recommend another Calcium wait like Citrate. Of course, if you want to spend your money and have them leave in yourπŸ’© poo, well so be it! We do get that choice in the Good Old U.S. of A. don't we? And Chronic Gastritis is not fun, it's like a gas heater on low flame, still hot to the touch, and you hope the flame does not go out. Carbon Monoxide poisoning also not fun, gives you a horrible headache before you reach a lethal level. Yeah, Frustr8 has experienced THAT too. A fact of bodily chemistry, your red blood cells like Carbon Monoxide a whole lot better than straight Oxygen, that's one of the treacherous things about Carboxyhemaglobin, those doggone erythrocytes don't Wanna give up it for Oxygen. It gives you a lovely red flush, because it's Cherry Red, you won't need as much makeup at the Mortuary, but dying to prove it, not a GOOD thing. I much prefer to continue living, Thank You Very Much!

Perish That Thought, my dad- burned Clinic didn't set me up another appointment until August,i must be in the Benign Neglect phase now, they don't seem to care a 🐭A** about me right now! And doggone it, I grow smaller and cuter every day and They Are Missing it All! πŸ’

    Eating Salad

Maybe it was a Legal Separation instead of a total divorce, but I do understand where you're coming from. I'm not as brave as you but caught myself taking a spoonful of left-over dressing from the bottom of Tomkittens bowl. Sad--isn't it? They do say eventually you will be able to tolerate it , not sure if it is the truth, or merely to shut the questioner up. 9be if the few things in life I am hesistant about. You see I have upchucked so often on things that should be okay I am scared to rock my 🚒🚀boat!

    April 2019 Surgeries!

A Greek Omelet, oooh Yum Yum! I really don't care much for eggs, but in the case of a Greek one, I will forego my repulsion. Snicker-snicker, I taught L.L.(short for Late Lamented) to make his own eggs when I called it "Some poor hens miscarriage" never could please him with my egg cookery, he liked his Over Easy, that's where the white is set, but the yoke is still So runny it coats the back of your throat! Yucky to the INTH πŸ‘Ždegree!

    Life without NSAIDS?

Good to know, wonder if you still need a letter of Medical Need or are they easily accessible? I haven't had a migraine since my surgery, this means one of 2 things. 1) Surgery cured my tendencies OR 2) I am way overdue for one, as LONG as it has been, it will be a BARN-Burner!

    I CANNOT Pee!

Common sensation with a catheter indwelling, I can tell you this from nursing education AND personal experience. I felt like my body was trying to push it out, told it" If I can't produce urine, do you think my muscles can dislodge YOU?" The pain is from pockets of gas under your diaphragm, see back when you were an embryo, that was where your nerves started out,--up where your shoulder blades are now, as you developed further the nerves descended with the diaphragm into your chest and abdomen. FYI even though you didn't ask, left shoulder pain can be your spleen too. I have jejunal ulcers, the portion my stomach pouch(I was a bypass) connects into, I feel the pain in the right subcostal(under the ribs) as well as the right shoulder. Lost my gall bladder 35 years ago, but argued with one of my surgeons that MAYBE it had regrown? Got a little concerned when I started get left side pain too, turned out I had more ulcers a little farther down. They assure me they are getting better, another Endoscopy June 12th, WE SHALL SEE! But remember, this my dear, a catheter is only a bump in your Weight Loss Road🚧 you will end up fine and dandy at the end! So smile if you can, everything gonna be all right!

    NSV's Spring 2019 Edition

Congratulations Debberlee, I went from 60 to 38, not bad for a Old lady the same approximate age as Dirt, I always had an "out of proportion" smaller waist, this tells you how Dang Big I was Before! And it Ain't over yet! Well, if they don't say so, I vote you "Employee of the Year" and I am awarding you a πŸ† Trophy, because I know you went through a lot to get down here!

    Roux-en-y

I figure you meant, you started this fateful journey in October 2018 and in less than a week your Day of Days will occur, right? First, Relax a little, many, have had this surgery, myself and Briswife included. You have come a long way in 8 months, now your preparations are going to pay off. Approach this with a smile on your face, peace in your ❀ heart and a firm belief in what will occur. You will be in the right place, at the right time, having the right surgery, the chosen one, you have selected the right surgeon to perform it, he or she has to be the best or you would not have chosen them. First of all, I found, it is not as painful as I was led to believe. Tooth extractions and root canals are much worse. Instead of true abdominal pain my sensations were that my muscles felt very tired like someone had forced me to do repeatedly sit-ups at gunpoint. And I am old, tend to be crabby, if it was terrible I would be only too eager to tell you so! Like many 70+ year olds, I am only too happy to share my wisdom with anyone within earshot, whether they asked for it or not! When you leave that operating room, you will never be the same, but that's not a BAD thing, you will have been remodeled , renovated and realigned internally. Now your G.I. system will work for you instead of the treacherous way it allowed you to gain weight before. And it may take a while for you to learn the new mechanism involved. Briswife and I had some rarities happen in our recovery, but as for ME and I am much farther from surgery than she, I would never go back to where I was before last September. I am now smaller by over 100 pounds, maybe about the size I was when my later hubby and I were married , in December 1967, a good difference , now I appreciate it for I truly know what I went through to get back down here. I started at a 28-30W, just ready to topple from a 20 into an 18, yeah I know many ladies start at the size I am now, well Baby I Ain't Done Yet! Ready to enter Onederland after starting in the mid-to'upper 300s, I NEVER thought I would have a chance to write "1" in front of my weight. 1/4 Surgical skill, I had the chief of Bariatric Surgery and Metabolic Weight Loss at the Ohio State University, super skilled-super nice guy, at least 1/2 the Grace of God, I will always give Him credit where credit is due, and the remaining 1/4? Red-headed stubborness, a commited personality, I knew this was my One and Best chance to live instead of dying, and at 72, now 73 ,your Primary Care Physician does make such noises. Everything down to an infected hangnail, " THIS could KILL you!" And I was and am commited to see this through to the end. I've survived a lot but I'll keep coming back for more, my scars are battle ribbons in the War of Life, they say"I took what YOU threw at me- and I AM STILL HERE!" Well I am sorry to have kept going on and on, but I am a Grandmother, should be a Grwzt-grannie but my 2 Grandville haven't Got their acts together, older one is divorced, younger one a Senior at OSU, double major- Forensics and Psychology- Meemaw is a TAD proud of Amy! Remember you can and will be a success at this, hardest yet most satisfying job you may HAVE. And the benefits will be ALL for YOU!❀ Love from me, Frustr8, your friend in Central Ohio!πŸ‘ˆπŸ˜πŸ‘‰
  20. Act contrite and sincere, tell them you realize your error but are now recognized towards the surgery, Might not hurt to ask for some " Relaxing Happy Juice" your mind is now willing, it was just your body that was a little weak. And when it does happen for you, I will be one of your Biggest Cheerleaders! Pinky Swear!

    I CANNOT Pee!

Wet almost hot towels, wring them out well, place on your lower abdomen, well below your incisions, if that doesn't work put them between your legs in the Private Area. The heat should relax things enough to go. If not, it's Mr Foley and his family, especially his Sister "Straight Cath". Sorry, My Dear!πŸ’¦πŸ˜ͺ
  22. May you find a surgery you can endorse, may you find a compentent surgeon to preform it And may you live confidently with the bodily changes that will ensue . And most of all may you receive joy in your future days!πŸ‘ˆπŸ˜πŸ‘‰
