What is happening to our โlikesโ? I am losing mine!!
Frustr8 replied to Biddy zz ๐ณ๏ธ๐'s topic in Rants & Raves
While debugging that please consider restoring the. ability to edit up to 2 hours the "alpha" form had it, the "beta" form does not. My rotten SpellCorrect(see it's doing it again) on my android smartphone transmogrifies meanings or spelling. I am certain other posters think I am stupid or dyslexic. Neither one, but without an editing feature I come up with Phraseology I did not intend. And it really gets mystified when I use British or Australian English terms. I was posting to Taos about something she would understand with her country's zoology, just gave up and let it go through. Trust she read between the linens cause it didn't make sense. With edit-check I'm sure I could correct it. And BiddyNZ,proudgranny, and Fluffy Chix, nobody "likes" me yet and I'm sure they really do.๐ธ๐ -

And something I now believe after years of self-doubt, an awesome me not only fills the bill, it's a great thing to be!๐๐ -
Especially because men tend to lose quicker and easier. All goes back to Mother Nature or whoever else you want to blame. The real answer is: females could be incubating, the next heneration, we are a little more important in the contnuation of the species. The male drops by, makes his little donation, then disappears to new, greener and more funner projects, like making war, blowing things up, setting things on fire, imprenating other females and whatever other mischief he can get into. Meanwhile we bake, nourish and grow the next generation until they are big enough to be born and the human race goes on. Now at 72 it is foolish to maintain this store of body fat and weight so I'm trying to get in shape for a weightectomy, honestly think,of would be easier to take a cold chisel to me and pry it off, but I'm told that doesn't work too well. So I'm trying to convince my body it wants to lose this weight off, it's usually peeved enough over the, prospect it's not speaking to me. Meanwhile I hear from others Push yourself away from the table Just exercise, lift weights. OMG I'm 72 with 2 shot knees, it's all I can do to lift ME Drink this magic drink- Eat this magic Food- shoot I never was any good at magic You are not committed, you don't WANT to lose weight!. Any more commitment I'll be in a rubber room cutting things out with a pair of blunt scissors. And THAT is just the way life goes!๐๐ท๐

I figured it was Just a Hi Nice to Meet,You meeting but another OP said she's meeting with her same people at her hospital and it's her presurgical conference. See I've been through all the bariatric prerequirements, consults etc at another program not once but twice. Had all my records which went back to August 2015 sent to them. Dare I hope I'll be just a few weeks behind all you guys? Ooo I hope so, I hope so! So all of you go to sleep and awake to a brand new happy life and I'll go forward excitedly towards my own Sound like a Deal?๐๐๐

CreekImp you,are now a CAN DO kid. I want to join you there one of these days myself, and you know what? I think I will! Feeling a little more positive today, I'm, like the, upbeat kid in the room full of manure. I'm thinking, with all that I've waded through there's got to be a pony somewhere, and it may even be a full'grownThoroughbred. The Kentucky Oaks is on today, fillies and mares, tomorrow. is the Kentucky Derby where only the best 3 year olds race. I'll never make the money they make, but on the other hand I don't have fragile legs and ankles that break so easily. At 72,i guess I've come to terms with the trade-off.๐ -
Post Surgery Thoughts- Sleeved May 1
Frustr8 replied to melmssc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The anti nausea patch will make your mouth drier than a bowl of popcorn, blur your vision so much you'll swear, somebody put their fingers on the lens. Life is a series of trade-offs, you give up one thing,to receive others. Status quo exhists only in your dreams. -
Good for you Professor Slim. And Kandywolf, you are a fine-looking lady, but inside and out. You,look much like I thought you, would. God Bless all who Read This๐ท๐๐ป

You can have my share of the Watermelon๐ and everybody else's. That stuff makes me hurl, all melon does, rotten boy cousins used to chase me with it to see what I would do. Cheap entertainment for them!๐ -
I would ask you J San what put you out the other times, but maybe I'm better off mot knowing?๐ช

You might be sensitive to the artificial sweeteners or something else in the it. Maybe the whey protein? Might have to switch to a soy or plant-based one. I have svelte myself, it's soy-based not the 30 gr,protein but still very nice.๐

Zoftig Girl and XYZ Amen and Amen to that worthy sermonette. And I have had 2 knee knee replacements, they still hurt and work 85% efficently. And they still hurt! Tried to talk to my ortho about it, he went into a 3 1/2 minute monologue about how beautifully &, sructurally sound they are. I would kick him in his shin if I could raise, one foot from the floor that far and I wasn't afraid of toppling over. My next-door neighbor has a scooter, even fastens a wagon to the back and takes his grandkids for, rides around the neighborhood. Fine for him, not for me, besides my house is built with very narrow doirs, don't think I could get it in and out. I've been walking on these 2 legs since I was 10 months old, like to keep it that way.๐๐

Intro time: who's new to the group, who's pre-op, & who just recently made it to the loser's bench?
Frustr8 replied to xoxococojay's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi @TX4everLinds you can always be my friend, I'm in Ohio,72, 5ft 8in 320.25 pounds, maybe I finally found someone to look up to me! Don't worry I'm very nice and kind, some of my friends and most of my Daddy's people are short. I've been in the back row in family reunion pictures since I was 10 years old. Some didn't even want me THERE, they are all medium complexion, even the uncles are maybe 5ft6in, here I show up, fair complexion, red-gold hair taller than everybody else and chubby too. Imagine a dodo bird at a crow convention! And the mutterings in the background- Is she ours? I guess she's ours, she's Cliff's girl. Hmmm, she sure is funny looking. Imagine being 10 years old and over-hearing this from your nearest and dearest? I haven't seen most of them since my Momma died in 2003 and they made a courtesy call at the funeral home, they're satisfied, I guess I am too.๐ธ๐๐ฉ๐ -
Is it supposed to be so painful???
Frustr8 replied to Sdc04c's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Goody a heating pad is what I was going to suggest. Alternately try one of those super-cold patches a temporarily freeze those muscles in that area. Might be worth a try! -
