  1. It really helps to talk on here to someone who has been in the same swamp we find ourselves in and has made her way out to a better place. You've fought the fight, you're winning and now we have hope we can too. Thanks to all of you for inspiring me on when I hit a "low" day.😝
  2. PS When I told my gastroenterologist he said "I could. put a gastric balloon in for you!" Hey I'm 180 pounds overweight, a gastric balloon for 6 months? That could help, but I know I need a more permanent solution than that!
  3. Well thanks folk for the compliments but I know my health and emotions better thsnvyou. Yes you missed a beaut of a teaching moment but don't get hung up on it. Hindsight is 20/20. regular sight isn't always. Don't get stuck with the Coulda-Shoulda- And woulda ofvlifebor you'll go bonkers! ,, 😝

    Belly binder post-op????

That's why I'm packing Rue N.Rabbit to make the journey with me to Columbus with me. I have had an "open" abdominal incision, a right paramedian in 1984, and I KNOW how good it feels to have something to "splint" your sore tummy when you cough or sneeze. I have asthma, I have hay fever so I do my share of both. You'll be laprascopic, almost everyone these days are, my Barbud BiddyNZ in New Zealand no witstanding, but that extra support will feel good and a soft cuddly animal is more fun to carry than a plain old generic pillow. Got my little Rabbitt friend when Wal-Mart was closing out their leftover Easter items, only gave $2 .00 or 2.50 for her. How do I know it was a girl rabbit? Well when I cut off her price and content tags she needed resutured, guess I cut things a little close and she has a C Section scar! Have a🌈day, put on a big smile😝 and remember SOON WE WILL BE ON THE POST SURGERY SIDE!!!!

Although Sosewsue61's advice Taoz and Jules1 in Canberra may know some extra things Aussie to advise. Built In Early Warning System!

Min will be a burpy-hiccup, the only way I know to describe it. One mote, bitecand I lose everything, it has been presurgical. no reason to feel my body will change now.😳

I want to eat so bad

Oh you are an absolute 😂 joys Keep the faith, keep healing!
  11. One to consider is Svelte, soy based but I tasted no soy taste in the French Vanilla I have. Alas the protein Count,is lower than premier protein😝
  12. That's the surgery I will be having also. Another thing,i didn't mention, because I forgot it before, many DS develope lactose intolerance, can often be gotten by taking Lact-aid pills, but why borrower trouble? my own surgery will probably take place next month in June.

So I fell off the wagon

And your purpose in life might be to serve as a temporary, bad example, but now that you know what went wrong, you'll be,able to fix it, and never committ it again. Be a weeble, they wobble but they don't tip over, they don't fall down. We're your peeps, we're your peers and we.❤ you like no else can!!!😝

The induction,to the group is rather brutal but I hear the people on the post surgical are very nice, as they should be, for they all were once us.Give us an update before you go to join their exclusive clique over there. And Kelliann we're sniff sniff💦going to miss you girl!😪

    new to this site

Thank you for your help, jldoublee. What you read in books means much less than a first-hand account. You're a bypass veteran, as a potential RnY "kangaroo kid" I look up to you. My future pouch-hood should occur in June 2018.😝
  18. According to my former Bariatric Surgeon I am 180 pounds too heavy for my height. Sweet Mother Magnolia can you imagine the size of the industrial vacuum🗿 it would take for liposuction on me? It does boggle the mind, doesn't it?😝
  19. Food Aversion-'May,we please discuss this? How common is this? Is this only a post surgical occurance or can this manifest presurgically too? Should this be referred to what specialist? Dietician, Nutritionist, Psychologist, Surgeon? I am asking these questions-1 because I like to learn these things 2 I wonder if I am developing a mild case myself? Between the prolonged length of my PreSurgery journey and my gastritis, I am losing joy in eating. Yes, it is good I no longer have the urge to engulf food like an ameoba on amphetamines but I find myself going the other way and I'm a little scared. Ask me what I want to eat? I don't much care, sure I structure around a protein. and vegetables and adequate fluid, but plan and execute? Just as leave pop a protein shake and forget about the whole thing. Do I need help now? My weight isn't melting off as yet, so maybe not too late? Please give me some advice.😪
  20. PS for the few who haven't heard, Hector,is the name of my small, unperfrated gastric ulcer. Hector can not from H Pylori bacteria but from excessive NSAID usage. My life goal-to keep Hector sound asleep.😟
  21. Well I have gastritis and Hector, which one is causing my pain. Gripy pain ,mid upper abdomen going over to under right ribcage. You eat and 2 hours later it returns Milk doesn't help a whole lot, coffee, spices and peppermint intensifies the gripe. You want to bend over your forearm , thinking the pressure will somehow stop it. If you do manage to eat, you can eat only a small until you feel over-full. And where, eating might have once satisfied you it doesn't help now. Honestly, the only, relief I get is due to my extre strength PPI Dexilant. Protein shakes don't upset it at all, isn't that strange? Should I also be on Carafate? Don't know, my gastroenterologist closed his, practice here and went to a larger city multi-docttor group, 6 days before my,next scheduled appointment. Now I am faced, with asking my,PCP or asking someone affiliated, with my new Bariatric Surgeon in Columbus. I'm not rocking the boat at this, point.😪
  22. Apple203 I maybe am in your orchard? This is exactly my prime fear, the other dreams are but a subdivision of this main theme. I may have my Tomkitten take a picture of me waking up with,a smile and my thumb pointing up. Then you, me, and everyone else will believe it.😝👍😷

And we'll celebrate with you that this long preoperative journey is now through. Congratulations and best wishes for your future health😝
  24. Well I still would prefer the complete Oxford Dictionary but at my age the average American trash output might be more reasonable. There may be a thinly veiled message for me there, don't you think?😀
  25. Do you have enough money for DS vitamins? I've been told they average $150-200 monthly. Its the most radical bariatric surgery and has the highest monthly upkeep.😭
