Preop terrible gas pain, protein shakes??
Frustr8 replied to Cindyjo's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Are you ready for this? Brace yourself my dietician actually wants me to up my calorie count, I'm averaging 1100 to 1300 on my fitness pal, and with the degree of exercise the physiologist has suggested I have to up to 15 to 1650 , but make sure I separate it into 3 snack 3 meal plan. Me with the folds that have their own dimples, but I'm adding a little natural fruit with the increased vegetables. Never had someone who, actually said you're not eating enough, but we will try it Roy's way,. at least presurgery,👈😝👉 -

I like the new one Muscle Milk has now, probably not an option for you. Blueberry with a Greek Yogurt base, might be a tad more calories than Premier Protein. Shame about your whey sensativity, the new Peaches and Cream really rocks.😝👍 -
So Many Medical Problems ignored, is it obesity prejudice?
Frustr8 replied to okayestmom's topic in Rants & Raves
Until you get closer to my age then they drag out new cast of characters Menopause-No Doctor, that did not cause my bad breath, my favorite sandwich is limburger cheese on rye bread with sliced Vidalia Onions. That will drop a moose at 50 paces. Cataracts- No that didn't cause the rash in my groin folds, I just need some Nystatin powder until,i can have a tummy tuck up. See I don't have to wait for more weight loss, I already have Dunlap disease, my tummy done laps over intomy upper thighs. Poor eyesight, poor hearing or approaching senility.: "Listen Doctor Junior, I still can see the smirk on your little face, I heard what you said, and if you come within range of my hand I will be tempted to either slap your little face or knock you into next Sunday. Now take your laptop on a stand, get out of here while the gettings good." Take your little hand and wave bye-bye. It might be your office but I've spent enough here I done bought THIS room!" LOL -

And obesity is a favorite scapegoat for the medical community. Hate your mother? Its obesity. Have a hangnail on you left big toe? Obesity caused it. Have a nosebleed? High blood pressure from obesity caused it. Requesting a sex change? You'd feel more satisfied with your gender if you weren't obese. It's an easy excuse,so you don't have to devote much, thought Into diagnosis. Which leads to my story of my favorite imaginary heroine Ida May. Ida May went to her doctor one day.She said "Doctor I have pains,in my right leg" Doctor says"Ida May, you're 84 years old, of course you have pain in your right leg" Ida Mays says " Yes doctor, but my,next leg is also 84 years old and it doesn't hurt a bit." Moral of story, don't give easy answers, do a little detectivevwork and find out what's really wrong. -
Dr. Duc Vuong - Free lap band scam LAWSUIT! Dr Duc Vuong!
Frustr8 replied to laura0703's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
This Doctor seems to evoke polar opposite reactions. Either you love him and he could nearly walk on water, as far as you're concerned. Or you loathe him , think he's a quack and Hades is too kind a place for him. I watch him b too infrequently,to make much of an opinion. I do know,i vastly prefer Dr Matthew Weiner to him. Do the c rest of you have an opinion?😗 -
@Sparkle Motion are you still on target for your Mexico Trip? I Think,You said the end of May, didn't you?

@acrowder61 I'm rewriting the old mid30s hit Why won't you answer my questions, dear Bailey I'm wearing my fingers to a pulp. You would not give me answers or a knowledge my calls I think you're doing me wrong. Remember you said this was quick and easy And it wouldn't take too long. Remember I've got a vacation coming You want me to stand in line. If I have a heart attack from frustration It will be on your head. So give me a date, I really don't want to wait. There's no rythmn or rhyme Why you won't give me a time Dang you Bailey Bariatrics, you're doing me wrong! Not the world's greatest poetry but I do work cheap!😝👍

@mercmercn if you are starting your PreSurgery liquid diet on the 31st? Look at a Estimated Date of Surgery: June 14th. That is unless you have a Doctor who does 1 week(June7th) or 3 weeks( June 21st) now usually to 3 or 4 week are reserved for BMI >55 to shrink,⬇their fatty, liver. Now unless you're using the picture that came with new wallets you don't have That Problem. So I would say it's a lead pipe cinch,it will be a lot less than a month away. PS Have you tried LacT-aid? If your body is having trouble digesting lactose that will help. Hugs! -

Or you may have to switch to a soy or plant based formula. Try Matt's intervention first, if after a trial or 2 call or e-mail,your dietician/nutritionist,or get in touch with your surgeon's office. I'm sure you are not the only, person this has happened to.😝 -
You're very welcome,Mr Elvis. Funny, I haven't seen you around for years!😝

Double-Triple, you know the Baby Dragon s and Big Dragon better than I do. At least the recipe, isn't full of simple carbs and fats, and it does sound GOOD.🍝 -
Well this is not exactly a true NSV but I don't know where else to share it. It is an emotional victory for me. See I doubt myself at v times. The victory I'm claiming is: varification and clairification I'm approaching things in thus journey correctly. Although my weight is not flying away on this PreSurgery diet I am losing inches, my exercise tolerance is better, I'm walking farther without having to stop and take a rest, the weight I'm losing I'm not flabby-dying with, sure my blobs are already derounding and getting a little more sock-like, if necessary I'll install a seat belt retractor in my bra cups. At least I'm not to the point where they flop over the top or slither out underneath. If my diet one day is not as perfect as I would like, that's a stumble not a complete fall. Don't sit around crying or emotionally beating myself up, I just puck myself up, dust myself off, learn from the mistake and move on toward the final goal. Weight loss, surgery, lifestyle changes, they are all possible and within my reach. The is a lot of gusto left in life for me and I intend to enjoy it until my last breath. Its a pretty, bright not too hot day in Ohio today, so let's see what's in store for ME.😝

Not losing weight on pre-surgery diet
Frustr8 replied to rockyday's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Stay the course RockyDay, I'm a just a little higher calorie count and my weight isn't falling away either. Are getting your exercise in also?, even if no more than walking or marching in place. every little bit helps. I'm in the US but American and British bodies aren't that different, many of us came from the same gene pools. My ancestors came from Lancaster, York and Worchester so we could be distant distant cousins! Ta Ta and have a beaut of a day😝 -
Just Another Facet of Weight Loss?
Frustr8 replied to Frustr8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Well, I had my appointment of appointments yesterday. Met more of. my bariatric entourage and I am encouraged I can do this. I met and talked with: Nurse Practioner Valerie Dietician Roy- yeah, young good- looking slender dude. Exercise Physiologist-Kelly. Each of them gave or refined on what I'm doing already, some hefty challenges in place there. But I think, oh I really think this tired old ME can do this. They already gave me credit got,the changes I've made in my life, some merely need modified, others Whew but even for Me-do- a- ble. I feel they "have my back" in a way that my,previous program did not. These people care n that reaffirms I'm on b the right path. for my life and future. Maybe everybody would not have the same conclusions but for my personal plans and future life it is perfect. And isn't that What,if should be? A Frustr8 type program for a Frstr8 type person and leading to a Frustr8 future. Don't see how I can ask or committ to something better for me. Have to do a little more fine- tuning, I had to call and have both. Cardio and Pulmonary submit notes and observations so that my clearances are revalidated, since they were in another hospital system. My Cardio agreed to fax it immediately, my Pulmo was not in yesterday so left message with his medical assistant exactly what I needed. That saves me having to not do everything once again. Now when it comes to my EGD I do have further problems. They would like a little more details than the report my gastroenterologist sent hospital #1. Okay he folded up his practice in my town the beginning of April, he found he didn't like being in solo practice so " folded his tents and went I'm not sure where. Possibly Newark where he was in partnership previously, might even relocated to Columbus or Cleveland, all I have is a PO box # to submit to if I want to transfer my records to another gastroenterologist, I filed it away and until I find it I'm not even sure how long it was valid for. Is that his or is it just a temporary records system? I wasn't able to talk one on one with Jessica my, are you ready for this title? Bariatric Nurse Facilitator/ Case Manager/ Patient- Program Liason.Makes her sound like a whole commitee in human form. Sort of like Arnold Swartzenegger, Supreme Court Chief Justice and decent President of the United States, Not Donald J Pumpkin-faced Trump he is a MODEL president, one of definitions of Model is a "small imitation of the REAL,thing". Jessica was in a training seminar/ conference yesterday, she and I will have a phone consult either today or Tuesday/Wednesday due to Monday being celebrated as Memorial Day. But my case is travelling down the Bariatric Train track🚝 kachug kachug. I could have sworn I booked for the bullet/express train instead of the local commuter one. This is the one that stops for every dog🐶pony🐎and goat 🐐 that ventures into the track. OMG a flock of chickens🐥just showed up, what next? If I have to undergo another EGD, the third in less than 3 years because nobody can find Dr Mujtaba, that will slow down things a little, otherwise Jessica schedules me a PreSurgery consult with the surgeon and in 3 weeks or less, it's "cut, slash and poke" time when I get remodeled and reconditioned for the future. Hello Scalpel!🔪 And I Am Excited for the Future and What it Holds😝🌈 -

As soon as your body finishes rebootingvduring this stall I'm sure you'll start dropping again. Have you lost inches, noticed feeling lighter or noticed, some activities getting, easier to do. A non scale victory is still a victory. You didn't gain your weight in just,1 day,so,it may be losing,it off.😝 Remember you're among friends here and we believe you,Can Do It.
