Ambivalence goes with PreSurgery. You've studied and studied and studied, but l8 me the voyagers and travelers of old, you are setting out into uncharted territory. You do have maps drawn by your predecessors on this trip, still you wonder, did they miss a bend in the road, a swamp or a bed of quicksand? What if my trip isn't like Susies, Bill, Sally or Bens? Will I still make it through? You have to have faith in what you have learned, your surgeon and most of all YOURSELF! I face this journey myself with the next m9nth or six weeks, and this brave old cowgirl will still have her qualms about whether the Bariatric Bronco is going to,pitch her off.Shoot I've only seen my surgeon Dr Needleman by picture, I'm still a little worried he won't want to,be my ringmaster in this rodeo. But as the line from my 60s song " I've never been this far before" so I gotta keep smiling to,keep from crying😛

I am in what some doctors assess as the Golden Years of my Existence, I usually consider it Brass***, at any rate,we tend to sleep in 3-4 hour increments. The males in my generation have prostate disease, me,maybe lessened iurinary capacity, maybe streets or overflow in' contience. I often ask myself" Well I'm up anyway, is there anything I should do?"So I watch overnight TV, a vast wasteland if even there was, vacumn, dust or post on Bariatric PAL, I'M sure me friends in NZ and Australia think I never sleep. Answer I do sleep, just not very often or for very long at a time. Mayhaps when I have my surgery and the weight diminishes, I'll sleep longer periods of time.. Je ne sais!

I echo Matt Z I have 3 kidneys, this means I also have an increased risk of dehydration. A bottle liv3s next to my bed, I am also a C Papper

Likewise JSan and Beta, I was first diagnosed with arthritis at 25. That's an age when people are supposed to be saying " Gosh how cute you are!" not "you have a disease that will potentially cripple you."

I am a JULY Firecracker, a future RnY at. the Ohio State University Hospital in my beautiful State Capital of Columbus Ohio. Do I share these oddities with any one else? Deficiency Vitamin A Deficiency Vitamin D Dietician/Nutritionist suggests I b start on Prenatal Vitamins for their Fe(Iron) content instead of the true Baiatric Vitamins. Can I get some feedback💬 from all of you?

I pray my RnY will be like 99 and 99/100ths laprascopic But,if I'm in the minority turn mine into an open,far better that than no surgery that, not an open incision, would emotionally kill me.👿

And a 3rd possible problem you, like myself, could,be allergic to the Hibicleanse they insist you bathe,in prior to surgery. Don't know what will happen before my fervently desired RnY next month!😪

Well my July friends, I started this post, it may be my duty to bring this forwards . After many battles and skirmishes in my War against the Bariatric Nay-saying Demons, a battle that started in August 2015 I should secure my surgery in your month. Frustr8 has herself a new motto:.....RNY IN JULY! May even get a shirt--',saying that!!😛👍😛!

This should be moved to the unisex section, males are not the only draftees in the C Pap war. Indeed a recent handout I came across stated we of other gender might not be able to drop usage. My Surgery date is not set to occur until July. Why? Because on order of my PCP after prolonged spell 9f sinusitis, I went out of compliance, now I have. to re-establish 30,continous electronic compliance days before my surgery can go forth. I am not overly,enchanted by this turn of events. But my masked "peeps" I,will go forward into,the future.😪

Oh you won't-our generation is a class act- haven't you listened to Miranda Lambert? Ours is the group who bites their lip and goes on. And sweetie, you're preaching to the choir, I' m the 72 year old bumblebee that doesn't stop. Know why I'm a bumblebee? They are aerodynamically impossible. Their wings are too short for their body, they should not be able to fly, but no one told them this and they keep flying and flying. No body was willing to tell me I can't do this so I will do,this and do this well! I am 5ft 8in, weigh 321 lbs, living proof you can look tall and dumpy both. I have hazel green eyes,strawberry blonde hair and a can-do attitude, because it is the only thing the world hasn't knocked out of me yet. Your post came right in the middle of an argument with my son, the person I, at the same time I love the most and want to,put out with the garbage cans. At last report I am looking to early July for surgery, a little matter of 30 day electronic documentation of CPap usage that I wasn't planning on,.

Wow I hadn't thought of This as a benefit. Bariatric surgery just keeps giving and giving. Good decision,for me, good decision for,my,life.

@TexasGal I heard today from Jessica my case manager/facilitator at OSU. She still needs 30 day electronic documentation that I use my CPap at least 4 hours when I sleep. Then after that it's meet the surgeon and have your surgery. So I will be a JULY firecracker after all.😛

Sorry Miss Smiles you're feeling sad today, maybe this was your "bottom" day and from now on this are going to get better. Have you tried either hot or cold pads? Try to get more fluids in, I think you'll feel better if you do, even if it's a teaspoon at a time👸

Moving a little further along, I know now my,surgeon will be Dr Bradley Needleman and looks like after all, July, because they require electronic documentation off my Cpap of 30 days, 4+ hours each night. I tried to see if wearing longer each night would earn me bonus points. Maybe shorten the time span? We must Have talked close to an hour. Tomkitten was proud of my phone proficiency, said i sounded like a lawyer. I think that's a compliment? I get another embossed letter sometime before next week spelling out if I am missing anything.Good thoughts for me & then the Grand Kangaroo-izing takes place where I get my happy little pouch and go further down👣 life's road.❤I hardly can wait for the day😛
