And may it be just the start of Wonderful Things! -
Check with them, my son got a booklet with approved providers in it, never gave me one, maybe only one to a household? If all else fails call them or you have an HMO through them , call those 0people. Tomkitten has Caresource, I have a more Traditional form called Medicaid for Qualified Medicare Recipients, his covers 99,9% of things , mine because of Medicare Part D and all has a bunch of co- pays. As an example TK and I were both prescribed the same medication, same dosage, his was FREE,, mine. was NOT covered, had to pay $26 over the counter. If it hadn't said on the bottle " Don't share medication with others" the standard warning, I would have taken his and saved my 💰 money. Ah but I am honest, did it the right way, and someone gained the profit, wasn't ME.

I think that's another name for what we commonly call Canadian Bacon. Usually it's the British Commonwealth friends who call it Jowl Bacon. -
How much can you eat???
Frustr8 replied to Fazzini Bee's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Definitely not all foods are equal, I'm more like Briswife although of longer duration. Usually 2-3 oz with occasional up to a 1/3. cup. I heat up 1/2 cup, eat what I can and pitch the rest. Try to make it contain a protein so7rch tempered with soft veggie. Several protein shakes enhanced with Miralax, and sip those danged fluids, take my full slate of vitam8nscand minerals. Since my Baratric people no longer contact me spontaneouslyn I must be on Autopilot. If they don't like the point I am at in August, it will be their fault, I feel the last time I reached out I was rebuffed in a nasty manner so Flup those 2 Nurse- practionerspractioners, there were people who did have my interests at ❤ but not Frick and Frack, the nasty little demons. I occasionally, forgive but I will never forget, it still stings when I think of it! -
Is it a Dogs Life on Here? Or maybe those are Yuppie Puppies? I think I have heard of them,

God will be watc hing and helping, where do you think surgeon's skills come from? Yeah medical school and residencies help, but they basically are God's instruments of change. Keep a smile on your face, hope in your❤, peace in your spirit and you should do just fine. Update us when the deed is dobe! -
I am 73, 10 months past RNY, oh I have had some bumps in my weight loss path, but have lost 125(I think) pounds in less than 10 months, weight I couldn't lose and keep off before! And I like that might be grounds for celebration tonight..

Frustr8 replied to Tfarr38's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm sure there is but I have never seen an exact figure quoted. James M. usually knows such stuff and can quote the studies. -
Excited for you, surgery gives you a brand- New tool to use. AND it does WORK, this 73 year old has lost close to 125 pounds in less than 10 months with a Basal Metabolism Rate mimicking a Sick Sea Slug. Yes My Lovelies it can be done!

God Bless Medicare/Ohio Medicaid because one of them covered mine, never was billed for even a co-pay. All that might be Silver Cougar power!

Any August 2019 people out there?
Frustr8 replied to big_ange's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The longer you have , the better your body and you will be prepared. Use all this time wisely. -
And may it work wonderfully for YOU!

I just wish I or someone else had the funds to give you a "Campership" to BariatricPalMx or similar. With your History and family genes you should not have to wait until 2020, and who is to say you might not get disallowed again. Its a 2'edged sword, if you manage to lose weight non- surgically then Rotten insurance can say " if she can lose on her own, why should WE BANKROLL HER?" Do they comprehend you are having to bet your very life to please them and the program? Or DO THEY FLAT- OUT not care? We used to have Bari- Pals active in the insurance industry who could advise how to maneuver past restrictions to victory. There is a guy in California who has helped on appeals, something close to Walter Lundstom, don't know if you fit his criteria or not. I hate for you to have to give up when you have tried SO HARD.

Anyone get surgery without "needing" it?
Frustr8 replied to Ryanasaurus's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Amen Mrs G, when I was diagnosed with arthritis at 25, my physican told my parents and myself " it will be a little inconvenience" HaHa, 2 knees repkaced, surgery on other joints, inability to go full tilt on gyms and exercises. More than a Baby Blip after all! -
I don't , only her rotten insurance people, they are out to maintain their budget, refuse coverage whenever they possibly can. They are not interested in helping people only making and maintaining profits! Meanwhile our Jenna keeps falling and falling into the crack between rocks. I wish I had the right rope to save HER! She really deserves a Case by Case evaluation because on merit al9ne She NEEDS , she DESERVES, THIS SURGERY. To save her emotional mind but even more her body! And now it seems like she has been kicked to the curb -WRONG WRONG WRONG it's so WRONG! Is there any other program in her area she can apply to? She's in Arkansas? Has she tried the U of A, seems they might be more conducive, most state or Land Grant colleges are. Even go out of state, I've heard Louisiana is much more reasonably priced, is she anywhere near her state border? I know there are good programs in Mo. Mississippi, even Texas. THERE HAS GOT TO BE AN ANSWER, can anyone else think of alternatives?
