Hi@LifeBeginsAt46 from someone whose life is still going alas somewhat lurchingly at 72. Still trying,to,get things, right as I get closer to a July surgery date. Don't have an exact one, teensy bump in the road, not a complete roadblock, wasn't something in my original plans, had to change paths in the middle of the bridge, didn't want to fall into the ravine so have to follow this new rule. They promised I will know for certain July 9, then maybe 15-20? I started out August 2015 so I yearn for it to be over. In addition to the calcium, VitaminA, Vitamin D and iron I was deficent in. I take 1 prenatal vitamin, for the iron also, I was close enough to anemia that my body needs it badly. Where I am probably, falling down is also calorie count. After years of fairly high calorie count, once I have cut back, it is hard to believe going back to a higher calorie count is going to lose me lose more weight. Dietician/nutritionist swears it will. Can I believe him? Yeah it is a guy and his name is Roy, cool, slendar guy that looks like he could be a white point guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers. But Ohio State University wouldn't have hired him if he wasn't smart, sure they didn't install him,for his eye-candyhood. How are you coming with having your calories and energy levels balance out?

What's are your struggles, fears, and hopes?
Frustr8 replied to much2gain's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My biggest struggle is stay on task, I have been trying to receive my RnY surgery since August 2015. I have been postponed and lied to and now when,it has been getting on the verge of a definate date it is hard, inside to really believe it finally going to happen I am going to enjoy having my,bypass work for me, to reach the point where people let me on their good furniture because I am no longer a breakage risk. To be known by MY name instead of the Old Red-headed Fat Broad. And although I have mattered a lot , to have me aknowleged as valuable, istead,of people ignoring,me always. I guee, like many I just want to be acknowledged. that I belong in the real world, I am no longer invisible b to everyone. -

Frustr8 replied to Just_me87's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
This may not be good, usually if someone has picked a Mexican surgeon , be they good or bad, there is a review on Bariatric Pal. Maybe one will be still coming in.👈👸👉 -

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies Check In Here!
Frustr8 replied to Ylime's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Gonna hold you to it. Latest update in the Frustr8,saga. I am finishing up,a mandated 30 electronic tabulation of 4hour+ usage every 24 hours of C Pap usuage. When I had my testing prior to receiving the c Pap I had a high rate of apnea incidents per hour. I had been a faithful user until,my PCP had me stop, because of my sinusitis, when the records were pulled there was the gap. So there, had to be the darned 30 days again. The records get faxed, early July 2nd, Jessica goes on vacation stsrting7/3 through 7/6, so she turns them over,to Valerie, the CNP, after she processes them I should know when my date is 7/9 I suspect,July15-20, lets see how close I am! So you start baking the virtual cake and I will let you know when I'll take delivery. Do you realize I sought this since August 2015, almost 3 years. A mama eleghant could have had a baby and half in that Time period. A long time coming but Oh So sweet when,it comes to fruition. -
And July 15. 2018 will go down in history as Miss Priss Renovation and Remodeling Day. Hear Ye Hear Ye!

Am I messing up? Advice pls :)
Frustr8 replied to Pink nova's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I keep the hash brown squares $1.78 at WalMart in my freezer. Fry up a couple and add to my protein and vegetable for Tomkitten. We have a tossed salad every night, I put mine in a small dish on the side, he can dowse his with as much dressing as he desires . We have scrambled eggs, he can have one of the potato squares bicuits or toast on the side. -
Laura , honey, I get to say honey because I guarantee I'm old enough be your grandmother or great grandmother. If you have gained it is almost certain you'll be put on the liquid diet , 1 to shrink your liver and 2 to pare a little weight off, just, pray surgeon doesn't move your surgery date back to give you 2 weeks or more on the regimen. Could Happen! Bariatric Surgeons don't have very good sense of humor when it comes to weight gain , especially this close to his circus party.😧

There's also monkfruit or agave as options. Try the Skinny Girl products. Propel,,G2, or Nestle Splash. I have some Constant Comment Decaffinated tea, going to make it up when I remember where I put my half-gallon pitcher lid. Didn't want to take up the space of a gallon.

Heart complications after surgery? Only 25yo
Frustr8 replied to countryrae2001's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
PPS I used to work at WalMart myself. They have reasonable BP cuffs, I recommend the wrist ones, easy to read even doctors offices use them now. The symptoms you describe are cardiac , now panic and dehydration, even GERD can be mimic them but I guarantee I if you were my age (72) they would put thi, kmonitoring stuff on me before I could say Excuse ME. Let me give you a mini-tutorial. There is a cardiac syndrome fairly recently admitted to and women are more prone. Called microvascular syndrome, your smaller cardiac vessels spasm, unless they can get you at that exact moment they relax and it doesn't brow,on the easier tests. Just a strong possibility. I'm not going to relax until I know you are okay? -

Heart complications after surgery? Only 25yo
Frustr8 replied to countryrae2001's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Don't please brush it off just because of your youth! I had a son who died at 31, looked healthy, acted healthy, seemed healthy. Walked into our local ER, 17 hours later was dead. He had congenital cardiac defects never diagnosed, his aorta explodes and he died. And there is a possibility my genes gave it to him. 10 years, I still carry sorrow and guilt within me. I could not save my Kevin, my first- born son, but @countryrae2001 if I can speak out and save 1 more young person in his name, his death and. my sorrow will not be in vain. If you do not, have a cardiologist and most people your age don't, call the nearest big or university hospital nearby and ask to be seen . If not totally for yourself , for those who love you that they do not have to mourn as I do. Please do it for me, your friend Frustr8.😪💦😪 -

Possible to be anorexic after gastric bypass?? Help...
Frustr8 replied to countryrae2001's topic in Food and Nutrition
Perhaps What You Have Is Good Adversion? Call in some re-enforcements, dietician , nutritionist, Bariatric Therapist, PCP maybe even a psych . You are too valuable a person not,to ask for, help. We all need it at times.
