Oh please don't tell me no more Dexilant! None of the other PPI worked, my gastroenterologist and tried the cheaper ones before he wrote me a script for,it. Dr Mujataba called it the Ferrari of💊 PPI, at WalMart the cheapest in my town, it,would run $ 350 witout insurance, I shudder to,think,what CVS and RiteAid charge.

Yipes the Bariatric Not so Secret Police are after me. Well you are 85% correct and 15% in error, at least in my case, and let me explain why. Yes, Rainbow Warrior you are correct with the speculation and comments point. Anyone who has read my more-in-depth postings Knows I suffered much brising , wounding and scarring in my own life. This is try but I also survived. the 47 thousand assorted diets, everything from the Eat Grapefruit and it will,eat up your fat cells to the Push yourself away,from the table and go sit in the corner, starving diet. Up until 3 years ago. when I started. seeking Bariatric surgery,i felt I was fated to die obese, in abundant persive pain from every joint in my body, and largely(there's that word again) unloved. True I might not accepted an intervention from the. average Jack,or Jill on the street, but if a Bariatric Victor had to come to me and said" I have something to tell you about my own life" I would have listened, no I would have grabbed onto their words as a lifeline to hope, for at that point if the Dark Death Angel had come for me at that point I would have gone with him. I was that emotionally down in truth the only thing that kept me from suicide,was the feeling,i wouldn't succeed at that either. So if you feel my starting of this thread,was misguided, I repent of it. Stop responding to it and it will die in obscurity like many other Bariatric postings. What I will not recant is standing up for myself, for the vast majority of my 72 years I did not. I tried to be a Low Drama Mama and it gained me the honor of being a wet soggy doormat for my family and much of the world. In many respects it may be a little too late to do the right thing now but I am standing up today and at the time of my surgery. I resolve to be thinner, healthier, happier and no one will shunt me to a dark dank corner again.

Thank you for this. I really want my surgery, never doubt this. But is is strange where I am losing weight, my forearms and wrists? Maybe it is advancing old age nut I now have hope after the shock of weight loss to the Old girl and her body, things will eventually,smooth out. Now when I am mean to me, and sorry,to say, I still am I think Scrawny and SWOLLEN, this just can't be!

@nibble, you asked,i'm here to tell you what it is like. I am allergic to chocolate, and I do mean very allergic, i f I breathed in cocoa powder it would precipitate an asthma attack if it didn't outright give me an anaphylactic attack and kill me, if I dropped Hershey's Syrup on my bare skin it would raise a burn like a cigarette burn and when the burn went down it would take a while to heal. I think that counts as allergic. What is it like to live in a chocolate-laden world? H E double hockey sticks. It is not only pervasive, would you believe those little specks,on the Doritos aren't toasting but teensy flakes of cocoa? And now when I am seeking protein shakes for my future preWLS diet,what flavor can you find easiest? Tain't Vanilla. Some days it is like trying to fall into a vat,of poison because for me,THAT'S what it is. Have I explained it enough for you?

There is few if any instant gratifying things in Bariatrics. You truly are in for the long haul. That said, the rewards when they come are WONDERFUL!💕👍💕

Nobody gas ever accused me of being normal let alone average, but if I can become the bestest slimmest healthiest Frustr8 possible, I will be satisfied with whatever occurs. Of cours3 if I make it down to less than 200lbs let alone the 175lb I truly desire, you will hear me shouting and singing to the farthest reaches of the Universe!

I have noticed in addition to the this-weekers there is a ganggoozele of people having theirs done July 2nd, must be a bunch of surgeons's wanted them. done and over so they could spend the 4th of July with their own families. I wonder if there are Canadian surgeon's doingbtheirs on June b 30th so they can take Dominion Day off? And then French ones who want Bastille Day off in Mid-July? Aussies and New Zealanders, did you have yours changed because of Anzac Day?

After my July,surgery I am planning to move to Twoferville from Three- how,much did you say- town . It was a big place and I did fit there, but I plan to escape it . Think I'll order me a t shirt,that says VICTORY AND THE START OF A BRAND- NEW LIFE to wear home from OSU. As long as they,are taking to finally grant me a date I can have it shipped in instead of going to,my local T-shirt Shoppe. Then it can be the centerpiece of my post- surgical quilt,along with all the sport team and smart aleck ones I don't want anymore. Put in LL ( for LateLamented) Cinninnati Bengals jersey, although I sorta like the Reds, I am a Cleveland Browns/ Indians fan. Even have a Dante Lovelli Jersey. If you follow sports, you know how old that is, it and an Otto Graham are among my souvenirs. Could implement my,lady mother's Detroit Tigers one. Even in the middle of Ohio,that was HER team. Even watched Tom Selleck,for that reason. Well you know what would be in wjgo and,mine Project Repat quilts, what would be,in YOURS?

And @ ALFxRNY one hopes you could exit with style and grace, although how much style,and grace can one summon when you are lying,on a operating table , stark naked with your belly distended with C02 and pointing toward the ceiling? You know me , I'm redheaded and mouthy, I would demand if they,pumped it,up, they can deflate it before I leave the room. And if I expire they had better pump it,out anyway, I barely fit an extra large size casket and I will come,back and haunt them if they have bury me lid-less because it couldn't close! I had always planned to die in my own bed, at home, with my,lived ones around. But,knowing both branches of my dysfunctional family, they would be standing around bickering,who got what of my possessions . Wouldn't even get to,be the star at my own death! Think,i'll stay alive, that will upset them more! Smiles, a self-justified smirk for myself and hugs all around!

Smiles and approval from others is nice, even I at times groove on it. But the smile you want the most, the one you need the most, is the smile😝you can give yourself when you look in your own mirror. Are you,pleasing you, friends may go, you can't know your family will be always there for you. Bottom line the only person you can count is YOU! Even the ancients realized it, they said " To thine own self be true, and it follows,you can not be false to. any others",You would not have been born, had the world🌎 not needed you. Now that you are here, make your own music , sing your own sweet song, make the area around you love and respect you, if they do not, the loss is theirs not yours.

Hi Summer People, just lying here on my bed waiting for God or a bathroom urge to make me get up. And when I have nothing much to do I go,lurk on other forums. One of the threads I'm seeing often is buyers remorse. People,often sleevers but I am sure bypasses aren't immune, a few days or weeks after surgery are saying OMG what did I just do to MYSELF? Do you think this will happen to you and if it does, how are you going to handle it? Just putting it out on the floor for discussion.👈👼👉
