@Ellens531, why are you having a Doppler of your legs? Are you prone to lymphedema like I am? I am hoping my surgery and weight loss will take pressure off so they will drain out better. I really don't like puffy calves and ankles. I was trying to avoid taking my Lasix and K Clor, My surgeon Dr Needleman noticed my,puffy left,ankle, said "You are taking your Lasix aren't you?" OMG I'm busted! So back tinkling in overdrive. Oh well, it is for the BEST isn't it?💦

My day will be here in about six weeks. I plan to take a leisurely relaxed walk around my neighborhood. Ohio is pretty in the summertime, notice the flowers blooming, the green grass, the clear blue skies and white puffy clouds, I live far enough away from Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo and even Columbus. that we don't have heavy traffic and smoggy pollution. Although we do have some rolling hills in Mount Vernon my own neighborhood is pretty flat. Might speak to my neighbors if they are out in their,yards or barbecuing. As it gets closer to night I will catch lightening bugs like I did when. I was a little Frustr8. Then either watch TV or read my Bible. I will have made Tomkitten a nice meal, the favorites he likes because I will still be finishing up my diet and probably,on clear liquids before going NPO. Then I will make sure everything is by the front door, because I have to be in Columbus at 5AM for my 7 AM surgery. I will spend the rest of the evening loving Tomkitten, talking and laughing. I have no doubts that I will live through this, I trust Dr Needleman with my life, he is a wonderful surgeon,but also a very.calm professional,person. Before his older brother died 10 years ago there were things, if I knew he was facing death, I wish I could have told him, I will tell Tomkitten those things. And then I will say my prayers, and trust the same God who has watched over me for my entire life, will be watching and guiding my surgeon's hand to do a quick bloodless smooth surgery and perform the miracles he is capable of. And when I wake up I will be safe in a recovery room starting my future days. That is what September 4th into September 5th will mean to me. 😛🌈😷🏣

My gastroenterologist, I take 60 mg, I 'll try swallowing whole , usually don't have trouble swallowing pills, if not. I guess I will put it in applesauce or CreekImp recommends sugar free cool whip.

And PS one of the hosptals in my service atea, Riverside Methodist in Columbus runs routine pregnancy testing on every female up to 54 years old! 👈😛👉

It's a big area to cover but I humbly accept the acclaim that comes with it!😛🌈😛

And I don't know why unless it's the high sodium level but OSU is very against pickles pre and post surgery.

I started to write to you but stopped. Maybe I will anyway. I went ahead and had children but I wasn't the play pal to them I could have been. No honey, mommy is too out of breath and can't do that! No mommy can't fit on that ride withyou, sorry honey. I did live to see my children grown, even got to love them instead of being a picture in a frame. More good luck than good planning. And when I decided to seek Bariatric Surgery I ran into a brand new bunch,of Nay-Sayers. I was too old,too silly too foolish to try doing this. I wouldn't be a success, I quit everything before, if not I could have lost weight the "normal"way. They had no clue how hard I tried. But the most hurtful thing I was told, and this was from a person I used to call "friend". Because I willfully insisted on doing this, I was pushing a younger more deserving person out of the way. Ooh this hurt, just like acid in a wound, I am and always have been a kind-hearted person. A no drama mama ,who gave in rather than hurt another person. I managed to,leave before crying, so they wouldn't know how bad that hurt. But I wish now. I had slapped or knocked them to the ground, and I am not prone to violence. But that would not have been of benefit, I can merely pray Karma circles around and punishes them for me. For I believe I truly am young enough. This is the right time to do the right thing for the right person's benefit MINE. And I will devote every breath remaining in my 72 year old body to doing this and doing it well. For I truly deserve THE BEST OF EVERYTHING!👍😛👍

Hey Bari-buds I have a question. I've been scrolling around the different listings trying to find a place for this question. Maybe somebody out me in a Stupid Shaker. When I start on my diet with 4 high protein shakes , 1 snack of fruit ,unlimited non-starchy vegetables and 1 frozen below 300 calorie entree dinner, am I going to be prone to constipation or diarrhea or softly formed stool? I do have Miralax, MoM and Benefiber in reserve, am I going to need them? And I think,I have some Kaopectate too. Can anybody testify,to,HOW it was for THEM? 💩👈😙👉

I am a future RnY myself and c will be following your story. I wish there was more I could offer. I am on Dexilant, omeprazole did not do it for me.Now I am concerned if there is another form of Dexilant like a liquid for me post surgery? This is something I will have to look into. Keep all of us pisted, please?

My Bariatric program has me on prenatal over the counter vitamins, I got mine at Walmart, pills aren't very big, might be a possibility.

Things are slowly and steadily moving ahead for me after all this time. Planning to start my prediet August 1st, OSU. gave me a choice 2, 3 or 4 weeks.

PCOS is an absolutely unfun thing to have, but you are lazy and looking for an easy way out? I DON T THINK SO, it's one of the hardest roads to walk down, but if you can stick it out it is So Worth It! You are among friends here and we will never diss you that way! @MyBeesgirl you asked and I am repliying. I have not started my diet yet, I will August 1st. My diet says : for females weighing less than 400 lbs. No, I don't weigh 400 but the way my weight was skyrocketing,i could have before long. Okay here it goes. 1 daily bariatric or prenatal vitamin plus any your blood test shows you are deficient in. I take extra A, D, calcium citrate, iron and magnesium. 4 high protein meal replacement shakes I have,my choice of these as long as there are less than 200 calories, less than 10 grams fat, more than 10 grams protein,less than 10 grams carbs and above 10 grams protein. At this time, I'm leaning toward Premier Protein. 1 fruit must be small apple, small orange, small banana or 3/4 cup unsweetened fruit. Unlimited non-starchy vegetables Cooked or Raw. No pitatoes, corn or peas. Vegetable salad with light/low-fat dressing.No cheese nuts,dried fruit,egg, bacon. 1 meal either below 300 calorie frozen entree , also less than 30 calories carbohydrates OR 6oz lean meat(chicken,fish , turkey, pork) and 1 cup non-starchy vegetable 64 oz or more calorie-free, caffeine-free beverages and water. So Sample Menu Breakfast 1 meal replacement shake Snack 1 fruit Lunch Salad with 2 oz light dressing & meal replacement shake Snack 1 meal replacement shake Dinner Frozen Entree Snack 1 meal replacement,shake My Bariatric Hospital is Ohio State University Hospital Columbus Ohio 43210 and my surgery will be Wednesday September 5th At 7 AM EDT, my surgeon is Bradley J Needleman MD and I am excited to have it fiinally happen and i,will be having a RnY bypass.😛👍😛
