I always thought it also was because the first ingredient is corn syrup, after dodging the "sugar calorie" bullet you want to let gratuitous concentrated sweetner back in? Not me!

My life is a Ruck March
Frustr8 replied to KCgirl061's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
You are going from a Ruck March to a glorious FreeFall with a perfectly opening chute, and you will drift down into a Life of Beauty. And we are all fortunate to cheer in Support as it happens for YOU. And I ,for one, will be happy and proud to say I Know You. Watching as it soon happens for you! -
And also I ❤ my C Pap machine. Oh if you had asked me before I went through Sleep Studies and got it, I would have said NAW, don't want it, don't think I need it. I named mine Uncle Snuffly, well I have named possessions since baby- Frustr8hood and I still do. I do breathe better, Sleep better, before Uncle Snuffly I had horrid nightmares, would wake up startled and with my heart beating fast, as I look back maybe when I had my apnea episodes and stopped beathing for a second or so, I was unconsciously smothering and got scared ! So I sleep much better and deeper now. Don't laugh now but I tried one night to go without and I missed him, I really did. So I put him back on, who cares if I look like a flippin' jet pilot? The little "puff-puff "works for mem And since mine is at least partially hereditary, my father also was diagnosed, I might be one of the few who doeesn't become free. NBT I'll live with him fine.

I can't chew raw veggies myself, cook them to tenderize, drink more, you know you should, doesn't have to be plain water, thought I would miss all my sweet tea, Crystal Light, Mio, Propel, G2 there are a lot of options. I also like Nestle Splash, my favorite is Acai Grape, And if you look,Quest has snack, options as well as several other companies. I am surprised so many have jumped on the bandwagon. And there is always walking, as a grad student you're still young enough for raquetball, and all those fun time youth games. Bike, etc,,Im sure you can do it, work out your Masters Thesis while you walk. And keep us updated, we while want to know when to call you Doctor VooLivre2017 after all! -
Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies Check In Here!
Frustr8 replied to Ylime's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds to me like you have tied up those ends very nicely. There are a couple August groups also and I started one for the month of September, so no matter where you land you will be among friends. And I have been a proud member of this one since YLime started it, have met so many new friends here and happy to make your acquaintance as well. Please hang around, ask any questions you like, and please know you are among friends here!😝👍😝🌈 -
Well I Apologize, I am half right/half wrong. Her name is @ Dutchamy and although she will be having her surgery at Roger Williams she lives in Connecticut, not Massachusetts. But she is a super nice person and anyone who makes a friend in her will find themselves lucky.

Qualification/ priority health
Frustr8 replied to marie1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hmmm on top of my GERD I have Sleep Apnea, Arthritis since 25 and Venous Stasis and I am 72. Before you and the whole 🌏world count me out, I am stubborn , red-headed and have much going for me. I entered this life shaking my fists and screaming and I doubt if I am going to change now. Let's see who I have outlived? The paternal cousins who suggested I kill myself, the husband who said I couldn't live without him, the high school guidance person who wasn't sure I'd amount to much, maybe I should emulate the other girls in my class and get married, the doctor who said I'd be diabetic by 50 and I still am not, the guys in high school, after high school and into college who thought I wasn't worth dating and dated my best friends instwas to hurt my feelings, the 3 Lesbians in my class who also wouldn't ask me out, well 1 did but she said I was disgustingly straight. And last, and God Forgive me for this, the psychologist who said I was unfit for bariatric surgery and messed up my attempt earlier this year, saw her obit recently. So do you think a RnY surgery will faze me? Might slow me down for a while but I'm going to be triumphant and keep on living, the difference? now I will have a surgical tool to assist me in living better. AND I Will do it with class and grace and someday I TOO will join the Veterans Forum on Bariatric Pal. Think that is a pretty worthy goal. -
And there is a lady on the over 50 year old Bypassers also going to Roger Williams because although she also is in Massachusetts that is her nearest Center of Excellence hospital.

Frustr8 replied to Bari_KS's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
July 17, 2018 for a September 5th, 2918 RnY 😷and I have been travelling up, down, in, out and sideways🚕 since August 15, 2015 and I made it to a firm date just slightly ahead of running out of "breath" and "steam"! Huh Huh Whew!😝 -

I didn't have trouble with the Crazy 40s, my down fall was the Sneaky,Snarky 70s, I entered at 259 pounds, less thanb2 years later I was 355 WTF happened? IDK I can just witness that it did. Now I go forth to put Hector my teensy little bit of an gastric ulcer to sleep, slay the Ghrelin Monster once and for all, and have with the magical tool of Bariatric Surgery a much better thinner, healthier, fitter and longer life. Keep your eyes👀wide open, this might be FUN to watch!😝LOL

And if it is undercooked could those fibers get caught in your healing sleeve seem, same reason you can't have seeds and nuts?

And @ Eastern NC - clear the path- smooth the runway- by the Grace of God , less than a week later and just before @ Summer Essence, I too will receive the gift of Bariatric Surgery on September 5th At 7 AM at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus Ohio with my surgeon Dr Bradley J Needleman MD. I will enter with peace in my ❤ and leave although still asleep, with triumph in my being. Why this? Because I will have been granted additional years to live and praise GOD and the opportunity to still witness with my life. And although I do not expect it, and my Surgeon has never had such a loss, I will wake up in Heaven. and be allowed to sit at Jesus's feet. And either way I gain. Praise Him! ❤Frustr8

And I will follow you 2 just 30 days later, I will confess something to you both. Now I am a Brave Little Engine, indeed the Little Engine That Could, but although I will have a Happy Smile on my face because I truly want my surgery more than most anything I have ever wanted just before they push me through those big Double Doors, yes I have made a tour, I know! I will say inside OMG -WHAT AM I DOING? Things will never be the same! And as those doors pop open and I go into there I will. say THAT' S OKAY-i will be better- I am destined to be here, Hello Dr Needleman I 'M READY NOW!

Thank You, I just don't want you to have anything but the best experience. You have your husband for support, must be a special guy to have a special gal like you. I have my son, my Tomkitten, my pet name for him, he emotionally supports me in a way his late Father would have not. One of the many reasons i,waited until 72 for surgery, but, this is my time, my day to shine forth, and if someone reading or seeing me is encouraged my purpose here is fulfilled. Live and prayers🙏for you and your upcoming surgery!
