Internal Hernia post surgery?
Frustr8 replied to CyclicalLoser's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
It may be nothing, than an internal stitch, popping free, I believe every surgeon puts them in for extra support, when you body heals enough that you don't need them , they pop free. A lot of people are complaining of pain in Just that location.Follow a couple of the other threads and you'll see. Bit bring it up to your surgeon's office if it gives you peace of mind. -
Rock it Kasey , you got this! Beat the worries and fears to death, YOU ARE POWER MAMA!

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies Check In Here!
Frustr8 replied to Ylime's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are a stronger than me woman today, I might have pushed that icing laden thing up into her face. I am on Day# 6 of my liver-shrinking diet, although I am usually sweet and even-tempered; Now I take no prisioners, like the bumper sticker " Kill them all, God can stack, them in even piles later!"😈 -
Probably where they retracted liver out of the way. Now you know your Dr Marc, I know my Dr Bradley, you got the Grade A #1 type surgery, neither of them would have stood for less than perfection. I really believe its just settling of your innards into a place of recovery and recuperation. Gonna take a while, imagine how mine are going to complain after being left alone for,so many years!😝👣😝Step by step little one, you are doing fine.

That's why he said to wait,2 weeks, he cares about, you more than that says start eating, nuts, popcorn and such right away. I doubt I'll ever eat popcorn again, no loss when you consider what I'll be gaining. So I will listen to my doctors advice, they know what they did and how they did it. As a bypass, the last thing to heal for me will be my anastomosis where they join my intestine to my stomach pouch, that is timed in months, instead of days or weeks. NBT no big thing , I know I will be just fine and dandy😝my surgeon is the very best I could have found, I trust him, I trust his hands, why would I not trust, his advice?😷🏣😝

SEPTEMBER 2018 SURGERIES AND SUCCESS
Frustr8 replied to Frustr8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Well you and Macadamia share a day, September 6th, he's in Idaho and I suspect you're in or near New Jersey, at least your surgeon is in Floram Park, because i looked up the Zip Code. Wish,i could put my Dr Needleman ' s on, I'm running off my cellphone and the phone app version of Bariatric Pal, you can't change and update things. Do you have a prediet and have you started yet? I always thought everyone did one WRONG , some doctors don't require any, the ones that do approach in diverse ways. 2,3, 4, and a few 1 seekers. Had one on here , being smart-alecky,no prediet, karma circled and bit her backside. She was on clear and murky liquids for a little over 2 months. Haha on her! I've been n on mine since August 1st, I wanted the most bang for my buck, at 72 you don't get "Do-Overs". this will be my own and only bariatric foray -
New here and very nervous...
Frustr8 replied to OhioSparkle's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hi again @OhioSparkle. There's also @ CMD516, she will be going to Riverside late Autumn- Early Winter, hav8ng the same Dr Rana Nnoi had. There's Lynn in Cincinnati, Marcus,up in Fremont, DRoseman in NW Ohio, I think Bowling Green And there is my other Bari-pal Merc Merc, now she is extra-special. She had her surgery on July 25th at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Until her I wasn't aware they, have,an Adolescent Bariatric Program. Since she had her first, surgery there, she,had her Bypass done there also. And Dr,Marc, the head guy and Dr Needleman, my own guy ,did it together. Ask any of us any questions and we will do our, best to answer. You are a good mother by investing in their future, insuring they will have and keep their mommy. And you will,be a more fun mommy when you can do more, play more and be fun to be around. Don't believe the horror stories, that's all they are, stories. Keep talking to Nnoi and me, we will tell you the up side to it all, lots more joy than sorrow to this. And go ahead and answer Sosewsue61 if you like , I also will be a bypass, I havemy reasons why it's better for me, but notwithstanding, I love everyone of my sleeved buddies, we are all fighting the same weight wars, after all! So smile, be sweet to the kiddos and we will talk more when you have time, okay?😝 -
Excellent observation, even at my early stage, I feel a Stranger in a Strange Land.😳

So keep me updated , Macadamia, we're going through such wonderful changes at the same time. AND we have the potential to rock this old world🌍right back on its axis. day 9 and I could eat a tree
Frustr8 replied to nevertoolate's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
@ nevertoolate, please don't eat a tree. It is the WRONG kind of fiber, not good for you, unless you are a beaver. Come to think of it, I don't even think they eat them, they are rodents. Rodents have to knaw things constantly or their teeth overgrown. Maloclussion for them could be fatal. -

Fat Shaming by Medical Practitioners
Frustr8 replied to nibble's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
No the ones I have heard were abdominal and gynecological, and also for urinary suspension. And I can cite an occurance in my own family, my daddy's family has floating in it HHT, PCP doesn't want to give it credence, butbtoo many brain bleeds and weird bleeding problems to be a coincidence. My Daddy had an arteriovenous anomaly in his colon, knew he was have reoccurent blood loss, our pee-poor local band-aid station of a community hospital was mystified. Ended up in Grant Hospital where they removed 26 inches of colon and stiched him up meshed also, well something went wrong because he healed with a ventral hernia, since,he was in late70-early80s they refused to give him any further surgery, Said "Cliff just live with it" and he did, nasty looking thing, encouraged him not to go shirtless, you could see the internal dehisinance, all that was holding his intestines in was the mesh. He was told if he continued driving NEVER wear a seatbelt, instead if he saw a collision coming roll to the side and onto the floorboards, less chance of rupture that way. And that is why I had a right paramedian instead of a subcostal for my gallbladder/ appendix removal . My surgeon wanted palpate my colon to see if there was anything he could find. Would have preceded a subcostal Mama's healed to a thin white .line. A somwhat humorous FYI when I met Dr Needleman I would prefer an " open" to him aborting my,laprascopic RnY for any reason. He called me by my birthname, I have a perfectly lovely one that isn't Frustr8, We do 99.9% surgeries as "laps" Do You b really want to heal from an abdominal wound? I flipped up my t-shirt, it runs 3 inches above and 3 inches below just slightly to the right of my navel. He gave a rueful laugh and said " Point well-taken, I WILL remember that!" Valerie the Nurse-Practioner said the score was ME1 Surgeon 0.
