I see Laura7 is in NJ, what state are you in @ susunorm? I wish for you both a smooth, successful surgery. Bari-Bud @ Ellie123 in Texas also will be having surgery Wednesday. All. of you will have better thinner days ahead.
-
@ karyn2018 was your surgery August 7th or is it upcoming at September 7th? That's a whole months difference after all. We'd all love to be good friends with you🌺!😛🌸
-
@Starfish23 it's been nearly 2 months , how are you doing now? Are the strictures all taken care of?😙
-
Now that does make some sense, sorry I was so nibby, you just got my interest when I couldn't sleep.

Well luckily for me, I do have insurance, because the surgery both my surgeon and I felt right for me is not the cheapest one of the 3. And yes I have known a couple people who chose sleeve because it is cheaper. Maybe what I say is mutinous ( is there even a word like that?) but I really wish people could always choose what is right for them instead of what is quickest or cheapest. Maybe that is only a fairy tale world. At any rate I will be having an RnY bypass, it is better for health conditions I have and I did not want 3/4 of my stomach ripped out of my body never to return. I can stand malabsorb more than that. I prefer a pouch to a garden hose because that's the width. a sleeve is.

As you know in a little, more than 2 weeks I will,be having my Bariatric surgery after 3 years of planning , trying, and continuing to try for I believe this is something the Lord has planned for me. My friends, I ask that the Great Physician "Scrubs" in with my surgeon. That with his help my surgeon's hands will be swift, sure and true. And that I be restored to health that I may continue to be of service to,others. And that God's purpose and plan for,my life continues .🙏Amen and amen! -

The only thing I can come up with after thinking a minute. They feel they don't deserve any better. So often they have been told ( and yes I was told and believed) that obesity was something they willfully did to themselves. The old "Think Hard enough and You'll Never Get Fat" ploy, Closely followed by " Only stupid lazy people get obese"You're only doing this to get attention" and finally the one that hurts me Because of you pushing yourself to the front of the line, a younger more deserving person can't get an operation!" Ooh that one stings, because I have more earthly years I am vastly, undeserving? So my vote would be Self Sabotage. They are asking for what the outside world said they merited.
-
And if that isn't enough since this was a special election to fill a vacated seat, they are running against each again in November. And they are having a recount because 1 the votes were very close 2,. They would not total the provisional ballots and absentee ballots until after August 18th. 3. The Republican is claiming victory, the Democrat refuses to concede. Our very own little soap opera/ reality show in Mid-Ohio. Further turn, I got "no,dog in the fight", due to gerrymandering it isn't even MY Congressional District, although I live 20 miles from one combatant, 30 miles from the other, still I'm in another district. Where oh where is sanity and good sense these days?

SEPTEMBER 2018 SURGERIES AND SUCCESS
Frustr8 replied to Frustr8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Be thankful for small favors, after slogging through since August 1st, it isn't as much fun as you might think! And that loud roar you hear,in the background isn't thunder, that's my Bari-brothers and sisters shouting "Amen"!🍶😪 -
And let me add my best wishes to our Celtic poster above. Who knows if you go back far enough we might be distant cousins- it would thrill me but I doubt Irish Gal would share my feeling, probably has enough kinfolk as it is!

On reflection maybe " Waking the halls" was a Freudian slip, might be more true than "walking the halls". IDK but it makes me ROFLMAO!

Frustr8 replied to Naughty Glitter Goddess's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Cats not impressed-Hmmn? Too bad you don't have a dog that demanded to,be let outside to escape the smells. You know you make me wax Rodgers and Hammersteinish, paraphrase. "There is nothing like a Dame" from South Pacific. Are you ready? There is nothing like a Poo***Nothing in the world***There is nothing you can do***That beats a heartfelt sincere poo! There is nothing to stirs like a Poo***And Nothing that occurs like a.Poo*** Nothing clears the house like a Poo*** Repels a spouse like a Poo*** Nothing scares cats like a Poo***Makes them ask "What's That?" like a Poo*** There's not a thing you can. find*** Relieves the pain in your behind*** Like a Heartfelt Post- Surgical Poo! Thank You, Thank,You, the line of Worshipful Admirers may form : Stage Left! And now I will put my C Pap back,on and go back to sleep! PS I am having that trouble presurgical, don't know if it's too many protein shakes or the iron pills. Wonder if the local Bookmobile, lends out SquattyPotties? -

Good hearing from you again Littel _Urchin, I have missed you and your postings.

Most of my friends swear by PooPourri here in the USA. -
Didn't I read somewhere you should drink orange or another citrus juice with iron or iron- containing foods so your body would assimilate the iron better? And is iron fumarate the preferred form?

Spectrum , the ex Time Warner, keeps running the Humane Society commercials about dogs staked outside and cats with, infected eyes. Suppressed my appetite very well. Then they put on their promo ads followed immediately by Direct TV's Cut the Cable promo. Reminds me of political campaigns, just had a special election in my market area, all I ever got from this campaign is one candidate was a reprehensible excuse for a human being and the other one is a blithering idiot. In truth, they probably are very nice men. Gosh sometimes I hate politics!

Yep it sure isn I'm on Dexilent myself, have been since last January. At that time I was diagnosed with gastritis and Hector, my tiny ulcer produced from overuse of Ibuprofen and other NSAIDS.
