Waking up from Surgery. Any Tips?
Frustr8 replied to ellie123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hope to wake up from surgery in the same basic mood I was in when I went to sleep. Happy and relieved to finally get my RNY. I promise to post back how everything was for me. I think that's the more fervent worry,"How are things going to be for me? And you never quite know until you actually,go through those doors.😷🏣And then you do know but nobody gets to carry a journal into there. I do plan to take pens and a small notebook to journal in. -

SEPTEMBER 2018 SURGERIES AND SUCCESS
Frustr8 replied to Frustr8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My interest is piqued. I will be having RNY surgery in Columbus on September 5th. if you are in Columbus, having surgery September 17th my curiousity has. been aroused. Where and who is your surgeon? Nnoni and mercmerc had theirs in July, one at Riverside, one at Nationwide Children's. There is one who will have hers at Riverside in November-December, I'm at OSU, so where are you? Tell me more about you and I'll do the same. My highest weight was 355 and its approx 309 Now 10 days before surgery. Welcome and I hope things go well for you! -

And then the September🌻🌿🌻 Surgeries will be up to bat, ⚾myself included. And Time📆 has a way of Marching on, let's wave ✋as we go by and move over to Summer 2018 Post-Surgery! -
And I hope things are going well for both of you. Who is going to get released first, you or hubby? Think if you both take things slow and easy, may be a b rough week or week and a half, but by a week or 2 into September you both will be feeling better. Anyway, just thinking of you both today.😛&😛

Hmmn what flavor are they? Know you will quickly find a taker!

I'm 60. Anyone else over 50 doing RNY?
Frustr8 replied to Pam Peltz's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Thank you Annie, it is good to read your story. Still moving forward towards my September 5th surgery at Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center in Columbus Ohio. Oh I know at 72 not every day will be rosy, but it still will benefit me. I will have the chance at continued life my obesity was denying me. It will be as it will be but still better than I had before Good Wishes gratefully appreciated on this journey. -
How many have lost more than the average?
Frustr8 replied to Separ1418's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
No today is her 6 month Surgiversity, she had hers February 26. I will have a RNY September 5th, if one of my doctors is correct I am carrying a NFL quarterback worth of weight around. I 'll be happy to drop him off at the nearest stadium. Pre surgery my losses have, mot,be sizable but still they have been losses, not as much as a large bag of flour at Sam's Club, but I have tried. -
And I will be having RNY surgery a week from Wednesday, on September 5th. And at 72, I put family, responsibilities in front of my own health and wishes. Yes I am healthy enough for surgery but if my recovery will be perfect, that I am not sure of. But it still beats existing as I have been. I am not frightened , rather fatalistic, it will be as it will be. The excitement is dissipating, I just want it over so I can move forward again. But I can smile for others, I have years of plastering on a sweet smile, no matter the pain and sorrow inside. I hate myself for it, maybe if I had rebeled sooner things could have be different. But why get hung up in the could of, would of, should of , of various things when it is of no benefit. So I move forward toward surgery as my life collapses around me, I am just tired of it all.

*** September 2018 Sleevers ***
Frustr8 replied to macadamia's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You are on the other side of the world 🌍from me but I am sure my warm wishes will still reach that far. May things go well for you as they will for me. I will have a gastric bypass on September 5th. -
It is an exciting prospect, only 10 days to my own RNY on September 5th, perfectly calm, anticipating the changes as something good, have my little bag half-packed, tying up what loose ends I can , praying that God is with me , watching, protecting. and loving me. It will be as it well be, I am calm and secure in that fact.

Not terribly, you will probably pass it out before surgery time. Don't have time to come slap your little hands, you're human but promise yourself you'll do better! You will be okay with this blip.

Well I am next week, September 5th, but I will take a corner of the Well Wishes for myself. Hey hope for the best, work with the not'-the-best and make this journey your own. Step by Step into the future🌈 and may there be only sunny days ahead! -
All I have seen at my local Wal-Mart is mixed Berry, maybe to get other tastes you have to go t9 Sam's Club, I'm Sam's Club-less here in my town.
