September is now 1/3rd over, I have been following along, think I might stroll through the local mall; just stay out of the Food Court- and I'll be a Better Woman for it!

July 2019 Surgery Siblings Post-Op
Frustr8 replied to Mom_of_Chaos's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have an 1/8th Cup Measure, think it was marketed Primarily as a Coffee Scoop but IT IS CLEARLY MARKED and I use that to add just as much protein powder as I want. Pretty perfect for a glass or so if you stir well! -
Ditto what Alpaca said, YOU are A Bariatric Super-Star, you always have a new insight as you go through this Experience we are sharing. As for NATURAL it was NATURAL for me to have Arthritis since Age 25- but I don't recommend IT and would just💕to Download IT on all my Enemies! Got me a New Motto IF IT TASTES THAT SWEET- IT WON'T BE MY TREAT!

One of the worst things about no LONGER having your parents and Those You Lived is so much is happening in Your LIFE and you no longer have them to share it with. I hope if there is truly a Heaven as I was taught, that they are watching, applauding , maybe. even telling others " That's my GIRL, look how she's doing, look at ALL she is accomplishing NOW!" Oh I DO HOPE somehow they ARE PROUD!

Weirdest things you are looking forward to after surgery
Frustr8 replied to Krestel's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And a 1 year after update for you all. I went from not being able to cross my legs, to cross in the shape of a figure 4, well last night I crossed them and I almost make a Roman Numeral I, I used to envy my late father-in- law, a tall thin normal- proportioned Dutchman, cause He Could and I Never Could, well today I CAN and. even wrap one foot around behind the other like I've seen Fox News Ladies do, so their undies aren't in view. Whooee, Yippee Yahoo, I'm almost NORMAL & AVERAGE in appearance, Another NSV that I never planned for, they just keep coming and I 💕each and every new thing about ME I FIND!👈😛👉 -
Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: 1 Year Check In
Frustr8 replied to Ylime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well Pearldrop I might be 3 months behind you but I see my GOAL shining ahead also. Just 4 kilos away if my equivalents are correct. I always kind of liked myself inside but now I am a Proud Frustr8 booster and I don't care who knows it! Come a long way, didn't think at first I COULD DO IT but I found hidden reserves of strength, kept going over obstacles and around bends, and I AM A PRETTY FINE LADY. when all's Said and Done! -
Is there anything you wish you knew before surgery?
Frustr8 replied to Zemi's topic in The Gals' Room
I would not believe with my narrow, mostly liquids diet I would still be having emesis difficulties. Wondering if Zofran will be a permanent friend? Miss one and even mildly seasoned things come popping up and they're seldom as pretty as when they first went down!👈😢👉 -
They told me there were a lot of perks to Weight Loss and Surgery; but I'm more of an Iced Tea 👧!🍷

Do hope your Liver decides to settle down, fly right and function well. Please keep US updated no matter what!👈👵👉

I wonder if you could substitute liquid blue. agave -- honey seems like concentrated sugars to ME but YMYC!

And Welcome also from Me, Red-headed, one- half the size I used to be, if I tell you I am now in the 180s you probably figure out how BIG I used to be. Anyway I'm 5 days past my 1st year Surgiversity, thrilled with my size Now, I can see my GOAL in sight of 175, and, ah yes I AM 73 YEARS young, so had my RNY at 72 and will turn 74 on December 26th. So if you need inspiration or ANYTHING I'm usually close to my Smartphone and love chatting and helping where I can. I really have learned SO MUCH since I joined Bariatric Pal. And my favorite protein shake is Ensure High Protein in 🍓 Strawberry, it honestly reminds me of Nestle Strawberry Quik. No nasty after taste, not all that expensive, get mine from my local Wal-Mart.

A lot of people yearn for salty- and- or savory things. Like most things in life, you got to do what's good for you, we all got to make our own kind of 🎶 music!

Yep that's why I am a 17/19 on my way to a 15. I was a DD before surgery time, now I am barely a B. One of the first posters here said she was channeling Elle Woods, well my Inner Tomboy is resurfacing after 50+ years. Told my orthopaedic surgeon in Early Days I was an Obese sporty tomboy, he said "That's impossible!"--- Well Well Well Just look at ME Now! I am even returning to some exercises, okay* Even if I am 73* it makes me feel BETTER and PROUDER that I once again can do it without huffing-puffing- and doing myself an Injury! I'm not an Senior Olympic contender but at least, I'm back in the game!🌛🚴And it's NOT TOO LATE FOR ME!

Stopping Omeprazole-
Frustr8 replied to FluffySaysForkIt!'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And remember I Am the Non- Omeprazole Kid--- It NEVER was gastroprotective for ME! -
And Lauren, I'm praying🙏 you make it! My Surgery weight was 319, at 1 year 5 days📅 I am 182, so still on My Way to My Goal of 175!

I can eat the small Activia Greek yogurt cups but the full-size tubs are TOO MUCH at a time. Precious Pouch must be VERY PETITE to not hold THAT MUCH!
-
Yeah I bought some sugar free pudding cups, don't know if it's the preservatives and what- not but might as well toss them in the. trash bin, because I can't stand how they taste. Made myself some low- cal rice pudding; found a recipe, did it MYSELF but forgot how rice fills and expands in my pouch, and 2 teaspoonful= Misery! Funny but tapioca doesn't have the same effect, should have cooked that up instead!

May the ensuing Days bring you moments of great elation as you travel your own road to your goals.

It's Your Road and yours alone. Others may walk along beside you, but no one can walk it for you.
