Yes so often we holler about what we think we need , we fail to see how blessed we are, we have come so far, and we Have Got to Become ME-CHEERLEADERS in our lives. We might turn out to be an inspiration to others who are struggling through the quicksand and briars of their own trek. Wouldn't it be nice if someone said Because of You, I didn't give up! And a drum roll please! Almost 7 months out, 130 pounds+ since my highest weight, 80 since surgery and proud to say 238.8 pounds, 5 and 3/4 pounds less than Tomkitten ,my son, I am vibrating with joy, he's a tad peeved at the accomplishment, used to hearing me get nagged by one and all medical personages to LOSE LOSE LOSE, wait till I go back for my yearly, they are gonna be SURPRISED! A couple dropped news would be good for the old Ego!ππΈπ

Wearing bi-pap machine after surgery
Frustr8 replied to Awilkerson83's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Got me beat, I only do it 70, which is scary itself, feel like I will be one of the ones who can't delete it as I lose down weight. -
Count your victories where you can, you and I sure didn't pick average recoveries out of the old mail bage, did we? Happy news, after the PICC removal I am back losing like Gangbusters and I now weigh less than Tomkitten my son, weigh 5 3/4 pounds less as of yesterday. February into March, had PICC removal after being hospitalized overnight and into the next day, i have found out I have a cyst on one of my 3 kidneys, although I do have a thoracic aorta aneurysm, it has remained stable over the last year, had fluid removed from my right shoulder joint, ortho says the plate and 12 screws that are 9 years old need removed, ambulatory short-stay surgery, wants to do it as soon as things calm down more, March 11th I had an Iron INFUSION done in Columbus, not bad on the surface but as my body tried to clear out the massive iron influx I had Black stool that went to black water, and kept me up over half the night. Then I developed a very scary stuff neck, while doing cat scans and other tests they could think of, and they did have fervent imaginations, it was discovered I have a nodule on my left thyroid, and it is of such a size, close to 2 cm, that it can't be ignored as a product of advancing age, so this Wednesday I had a thyroid work-up and scan, also carotid Doppler because I am having periods of double visions, unexpectedlyi am watching CNN and I see 2 Donald Trump on screen, and one if him is more than enough at times. Then I had a Reclast INFUSION yesterday noontime, PCP settled on that instead of pills and capsules, because of my still- impaired swallowing abilities. And time marches on, doesn't it? Now I am 30 pounds from Valerie, Dr Needleman's head Nurse Practioner, goal for me but I still would like to go for 175 and a size 15 junior in the end. Almost time for my 7 month- versity, wondered a few times if I would be alive to make it? I guess it is what it is, don't fight against the briars when I will be the one getting stuck!ππΈπ

A Lotta Brachioplasty Questions
Frustr8 replied to mousecat88's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
You know it's funny odd, Grady Cat, but I'm losing in my bat wings too as I lose the other weight, they are turning into baby batwibgs instead the flopper traffic stoppers they once were. This weight loss is surely unpredictable but I'm gonna hang around and see what happens next, how about you? -

Pre Op diet-no protein shakes
Frustr8 replied to Emma26's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
They may not be so concerned about liver size as much plans do. The old saying is Different Strokes for Different Folks and nowhere is it more apparent than in Bariatric Medicine. A portion is what the professors taught them, what has worked well in the past, a portion is their personal outlook, but every Man Jack surgeon wants you as healthy as possible before surgery, many paths to get there and believe what they have told you is what will fit your case best. Smile, keep peace in your heart and joy in your spirit, things are going to go fine for yiy!πππ -

February 2019 weight loss buds
Frustr8 replied to TheMarine79's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
There will be answers for all this, may you both find the right person to help. Watching and waiting to hear good news, got to feel it may be right aheadπππ -
You deserve so much more than him; after all, if he cheats on his wife and child, he would think nothing of cheating on you also. You are a beautiful person, you have come through so much already in your weight journey, you deserve someone to walk by your side, be proud of everything you have done and are doing, and treats you like the valuable treasure you are! Don't get warts from kissing too many toads and frogs, you deserve much higher in the food chain than them! Believe in YOU and be true to YOU!

Or you'll decide it isn't worth the trouble any more, at least that's how I now feel about my former junky food sweets, don't know why I used to like them so much? Really makes it easier to avoid them now. that's a Slippery Slope yours truly isn't going to go sledding down anymore.πMy new size is such a hard-wonπ¦ prize I won't mess it up.

Do sell it at my fail-safe, Wal-Mart. Look in the Sugar Aisle, should be on the top shelf near Splenda, Stevia and the other sweeteners. I. also have had Agave, had it in decaf tea, okay but nothing to write home about, didn't think it was worth the money I paid.Incidently my store, good old # 2149, is in the m8dst of a massive remodel! Guess it will fine at the ends but it's like entering 24 levels of H*** trying to find things now, Some ninny in Bentonville Arkansas was either drunk or high when he formulated this floor plan, I say male because no woman would have moved things around the way this blueprint has things now!ππ§π°πͺ

2 months post RNY- new pain beneath healed scars
Frustr8 replied to Mimigetsfit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Curious isn't it? Maybe extra stitching your surgeon put in on Surgery Day, now that you are healing it may be popping free? had. one girl on here, said when hers popped free it felt like being shot in the stomach with a b.b. Didn't ask how she knew what that feels like, we all had interesting lives before we got here, after all. -
And my Weight loss is cug-a-cugging along, got w3ighed at a doctors office yesterday Friday 22, 2019, aI now weigh 11 pounds less than the arbirary one on my State- issued ID, I have one of those instead of a driver's license. FYI Ohio is one of those states that requires your weight on hunting and Fishing ones, somebody asked Why? Told them I figure its so they can identify your body if something bad happens, like being shot or drowning! Not too worried about #2. since I can swim. just don't plan on doing in frigid waters. and although all my relatives went through Hunter safety courses that might have fooled the State, but not me, there are definitely a few I don't hunt with, know what doofuse they are in Daily Life, and I'm sure it carries over into here also.

spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend/family heavy??
Frustr8 replied to ProudGrammy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well Proud Grammy and the rest: I have happy news- I FINALLY WEIGH LESS THAN TOMKITTEN,my son! Oh yes I still am a Ample Sample of Humanity but I'm getting a little smaller every day, and having lost 80 pounds from surgery in 7 months, I find it a Tree Top High sense of π joy! And I have more overweight up to MORBIDLY obese relatives than not- maybe heredity but more likely environment and farm- sized dinners. And of course every one looked at you like you had a defect if you didn't load your plate full. We ate like we needed the strength to pull a plow, tell feel asleep watching TV instead of exercising it off. But I am developing a new style, a new way of eating, and it is starting to pay off. my new line " half the woman I used to be, twice as proud as ever I dreamed. I am going to make and so will YOU! -
And i, for one, will be cheering you on, our starting weight was pretty close and if an old Chickadee like me at 73 can do it, you should be a "shoe-in" . Oh it will take some work on your part, but the surgery gives you a strong Tool to use, and you will have the Victory you could not get before. Oh I was a veteran of some real kooky diets, some I think were designed by a doctor and a dart board, but honey I am doing it and doing well. And I actually have something to brag about, one of the best things? When I go shopping I no long have to settle for the largest size they have, the really ugly ones. And I don't have to resort to wearing mens sweats because I can't find any in Ladies to fit me. All these bring me joy and they will you also! πππ

How much weight did you lose before people noticed?
Frustr8 replied to Summer56's topic in The Gals' Room
maybe when I lost my first 30 a few started noticing, my face got much thinner, always thought I had a round or square face, but it actually is long with high cheekbones, the one Native American tendency, compliments of my paternal side, and oh Yes they deny it so I don't mention it anymore. At best I would be somewhere between 1/8th and 1/16th, but look the ancestral pictures, you look at the great- grandparents on back furtherand those are not Slavic faces I see. One ancestor looks like Chief Dan George, that was in several movies like that one with Cat Dancing in the title. Now at 80 pounds, I really am getting to the remarked -on stage. So I have perfected a good reply to the question, tried and tested just the other day.Yes I am half the Woman I used to be and twice as happy as I expected about it! Still in reality have 54 pounds to my Dream goal, but the questioner did not need to know that, and my next goal to March bravely towards? Get to Onederland, and though that would be an impossible dream, but today I think this old gal has a fighting CHANCE to achieve it. I still am suffering from Mirror Shock, not sure who of my relatives I will grow to look like, but I sure don't look like the Plump Previous Me, Oh Well and Good, Tomkitten says I look nice to him -Tried joking he's approaching bifocals, but inside I am glad he feels that way and I'm flattered he says so!πΈ&π¨ -
I still itch occasionally, maybe it's just part of life? My skin also at rest looks like watered silk, you know when you wash a scarve, don't flatten it or hang up to dry, and gets all wrinkly. And my legs feel dry and rather coarse textured when you touch or run your fingers up and down, I actually notice that more than baggy/saggy. Is this normal for 7 months having lost 80 pounds? And that's on a doctor's scale not a fly by night self adjusted scale at home, so I guess it's the truth.

Yeah I like monkfruit as sweetener. And I have noticed something else ,related or not, but I have lost that post-surgery sweetness, you know when unsweetened things or even water has sweet taste? At 7 m9nths I seem to have lost it! Curiousπ³, isn't it?
