  1. I'm having the same issues 7 months out, yes it could be sugar alcohols in some protein bars and ice cream bars. But it just started. Will try the probiotics that Ed listed. Thanks
  2. Yes! i'm having the same problem 6 months out , very stinky gas never had it until 3 weeks ago. very embracing not sure if taking a probiotic will help. I'm going to start though. Any info on what others did to help with it would be great! Thank C
  3. In my experience, i had heartburn prior to surgery, now 3 months later no heartburn or gerd. Just don't eat late at night and realize some foods might give you that. Just be mindful and you probably will not have any problems. Everyone says it can happen i too was little worried. But things have been fine, i just dont eat after a certain time before bed and its been fine. Good luck think positive, and just make some changes in your eating habits , as you know you will already have too do.

To Tell or NOT to Tell

Yes i did tell a lot of friends and neighbors. Now I wish I would have only maybe told a couple friends and my husband of course. I have had one neighbor who's a personal trainer ask me every time she sees me how much weight now? Okay im realizing that everyone you tell will look at you and the time frame from the surgery and think has she lost ? Or wow, she doesn't look like she's lost at all! ha Anyways only my opinion but if i were to do it again i would not ell anyone until they ask, 50-to whatever pounds later, and say have you lost weight?. Good luck , it's a personal choice, I think it can set us up for the old emotions of beating ourselves up again if we dont lose quick enough according to everyone else standards.

    Water goals

I's tough I too struggle with enough water , remember you can put sugar free kool iad in it lemon oil is what I use, caffeine free tea, decaf coffee . So try some different things besides just water maybe that will help some.

    Constipation

I'm fortunate that i've not had theses issues. Only one week out I only took two stool softers. the key for me was walking , fluids, and a cup of decaf coffee in the morning as it has tanas in it it, it always gets things moving. And fiber soups, i did like tomato , strained split pea. I bought some smooth move tea , but have not had to use it. I hope everyone gets some relief :)
  7. Hum, Well I guess everyone is different I'm definitely getting more then 300 400 calories a day for sure. following my plan, not sure why at 800 calories a day the scale is stuck at my current weight, hopefully it moves soon Thanks :)

I haven't told anyone about my surgery

i just told my husband I wish I would have never told anyone except him! now I'm starting to feel the pending judgements from friends of , well how much weight have you lost question, the thinking i cant believe she hasn't lost more weight yet , blah blah blah. me and my big mouth! Ha Cant go back they all know and I guess I will have to deal with it. And the kicker is none of them are overweight that i've told. So I guess I will either get support or behind my back judging. UK Theres my rant!
  9. Hi i'm going into the 4 week soon I'm like a lot of people on here and hit a stall. But I'm wondering what the calorie limit some have for themselves? I.m following the plan and portion sizes, canned chicken 1 oz , tuna , salmon etc. Protein shake homemade with 1/8 cup blueberries. 1 oz cod and green beans with little cheese, of course the 1 oz scrambles egg and tablespoon of mozzarella cheese also a half of avocado. And a snack of sugar free pudding 1/2 cup. Everything i can have in my food binder. I also just stared my lose it app to keep track again. Anyways about 800 900 a day. Would love some others food choices and calories . Thanks

I have been very carful though to. see my doctor tomorrow so hopefully i can add more soft foods, so fa I'm doing scrambled egg, can in water tuna and had salmon tonight and a mashed well avocado. Still doing yogurt and some soup , not loving the protein shakes anymore but have had some. Just seeing what the future will hold with my weight loss journey . Soi far so good!

    EVERYTHING feels stuck, keep vomiting

Take very small bites , i went and bought baby forks and spoons. That way you are only getting very small bites and also wait for 30 seconds or so before i take another bite. Hang in there , I'm lucky I've had no issues. It will get better

    Just a quick question

I would ask your doctor, I think they would want it low-fat option if you did. Being only a month out. :)

    3 days out😞

Sorry it's hard for you , you can drink decaf coffee to get bowls move more and of course fluids and like others said walking. Also Oikos zero yogurt is awesome many different flavors 15 grams of protein and sugar free made with stevia. Highly recommend post opt, I hate broth! So I strain soups for more flavors. I've been lucky with my recovery. Another thing i listened to healing music from you tube just a thought . I've been doing great1 Hang in there
