Hey guys just stopping by to see how is everybody doing and to share something I just realized. You know how everyone says to eat protein protein protein, so I did. I had several stalls( supposedly normal) and a drop rate of 1lb per week some times less. That been said, I started to notice for several weeks now, that every time I ate carbs the next day I dropped weight like a whole pound overnight or even more. I am not saying to eat only carbs of course but I think that by doing one day of carb load is making my body let go of the love for fat. Food for thought. I do weight myself daily so I can analyze the fluctuations and how my body is responding. Lost 4 lbs in the last 3 days which does not consist whit patterns until now. Hopefully I am going into a new stage. Fingers crossed. Hope everyone is doing great. 5 7 HW 280 SW 250 CW 216 GW 175

I am working out 5 times a week, weight lifting. Building muscle to improve metabolism. It goes well with the high protein diet recommended. I am not seeing weight loss but only 2 weeks of weight lifting the difference on the body is noticeable. Just had my 1 month follow up (2 month post op, my doc is very busy), Doc said is all good too work out.

Hello, how is everyone doing??? Just a quick stats update. Since surgery I just lost 24lbs. Surgery was 6/7. I understand weight is not everything but not seen the scale moving  is quite frustrating. I definitely lost inches, dropped 1 size shirt and 2 sizes pants. I have been lifting a lot of weights so that could explain the slow rate of weight loss because I am building my muscle back. So how you all doing???

I am on a eternal stall, lost 14lbs in 2 weeks than around 1 lb per week since than. Lost 22lbs in total since surgery(6/7). On other groups I heard about the fat whoosh effect. I definitely recommended to google it. It explain stalls. Unfortunately my Doctor is super busy and my month follow up will happen next week almost 2 months so I am kinda flying blind.

Isopure unflavored protein powder, you can make you own smoothies. You can get from Amazon. I mix this stuff with everything.

Thanks for that Pete. I don't think I have this stitch, as I have no indentations and only very minor pain. I haven't had to take pain killers since 3 days after the op. I hope your pain eases very soon. I stopped pain meds around day 4, the incision pain is more bothersome than anything. Like if I sit for too long leaning forward than when I stand I feel it, or when getting out of bed. But at this point I am almost 6 weeks out it is more annoying, I tried to do some abs at the gym and IT didn’t like it so I stopped. I am thinking about naming IT. Any suggestions???

Mine is on the right side of the belly button half way up and down. Usually this incision will have an indentation like something is pulling in. This incision is the main source of pain after the gases go away. At least it is for me

That’s nice, mine doc told me 1 month, so I gave an extra week because this stubborn internal stitch doesn’t want to leave me.

5 weeks out and started lifting weights, it was a very light session but it felt great. Never liked this whole walking thing.

37 days post op finally 20lbs down. 14 pounds in the first 2 weeks, 6 pounds in the last 3. It seems that I stabilize in a loss rate of 2 pounds per week.

Mine stitch still here, day 37. Doesn’t bother me anymore, I am afraid I will missed when it decides to leave me. 🙃

Congrats,I was sleeved 6/7, had several stalls. I just stop loosing weight for a week than I loose a couple pounds and the cycle starts again. Not sure if it is my body adjusting or I am doing something wrong. I usually eat 600 - 700 calories per day, mostly protein. I eat 3 main meals and one snack. Lost 17lbs, but 13 was in the first week and a half. Everybody says to just give time so that is what I am doing.

I am wondering the same thing, how long until this stitch goes away?!? I was sleeved 6/7, almost 1 month. It goes by so fast.

I have eaten all kind of stuff, chew like crazy. I ate in several restaurants, but mostly just the protein, a bit of waste of food to be honest. I am almost 1 month out. To be honest I though it would be harder to keep a social life, but I am always able to find something in the menus that are some what healthy.

Sleeved 6/7, same exactly thing is happening with me. Maybe is a normal stall. What everybody said is to keep up with the doctors guidelines and eventually the weight will start to shed again. I stopped worrying, as long I’m moving forward. Ready for the marathon. I also check the scale daily and some day stays the same than I loose half pound, than another day the same and it goes. Same think happened to me, spent 5 days without loosing anything. I was loosing a pound per day, now that I started loosing again is more half a pound per day. HW 280 SW 250 CW 238 GW 170

You right, I am already crazy enough, I don’t need any extra.

That is so weird, I am also walking daily for at least 1hour some days more, and I am active constantly doing something.

Surgery date: 06/07 SW 250 CW 239 GW 175 I was loosing around 1lb per day, but the last 3 days I am stuck in 239lbs. I am still on full liquids diet.

That’s a great idea, I will try that. I just bought the isopure unflavored protein so I will come up with some chewable frozen goodness.

Awesome, I am walking a lot. I got used to do it so because my gas pain was really really bad. I had to stay one extra day on the hospital. Even though I don’t have pain anymore I still walk every couple hours for 30 minutes or more. Yesterday was my follow up, had the staples removed and cleared to drive. Life is coming back to normal.

Cannot do sugar free stuff, taste horrible and linger 😥
