Life after and eating out
Dorothyolivera replied to bobt1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree. Always pick where you are going if not soup is the safest for me. Or just try and order a side dish. I love shrimp cocktail . Some places will work with you too so you might be able to alter the menu a little. Good luck, enjoy your journey -
Anyone have success with losing weight after having surgery
Dorothyolivera replied to susunorm's topic in The Gals' Room
I am finding that everyone is so different as far as how fast and how long. So many factors. How tall, how active, health problems, gender, age. I know there are people that just don’t make and others take it off and gain it back... and those that take it off and never gain it back... that is the group I want to be in. I don’t care if I take it off slowly I just want it gone... forget all the negative stuff and fight for your life. Surgery is the last resort for lots of us... so yes, we are fighting for our lives. I think we are all worth that fight! -

Anyone have success with losing weight after having surgery

Hi. I’m a 66 year old woman. My top weight on surgery day was 268, I’m now 4 months in and I’m down to 217. I’m not complaining about 51 pounds gone. I feel so much better. I had gastric bypass. I would do it all over again. Good luck -
I am a 66-year-old female. Like you I have been having my whole life. I had my surgery 3 1/2 months ago, and I’ve lost 47 pounds. Not a great weight loss but great for me. You have to change voices in your head. Every morning look in the mirror and say one positive thing about yourself. This is something I have to do to. Try to be as positive during the day as you can. Small steps. You can do this for yourself. If family is not there to support you I am.Be strong be brave be hopeful. Don’t let anything or anyone come between you and your goal. You will find away. Love and support to you!
