    Coffee? Where art thou coffee?

I appreciate all of the feedback from all of you. It sounds like I have options and I will try them out to see what’s best for me. Thank you all so much! Hope you have a great day and an awesome weight loss journey! 🙏👌🏻🤗
  2. Hello all, I am just curious on coffee intakes. I have yet to have any coffee but I miss it so much. Before surgery I would have about three cups a day. I went completely cold turkey in February before my surgery. I know I am not supposed to have it, but I can’t see myself living without it. My favorite was a venti iced caramel mochiatto with extra caramel drizzle. Java chip frap, or mocha frap. I know that’s about 800+ calories each and lord knows way more sugar than allowed so I’m trying to find healthier alternatives. I am just wondering how long did it take you before trying to have coffee post-op? What are some of your favorite go to coffee drinks today that don’t have high sugar content? Any suggestions would help a ton. 😬

    Coffee! Coffee! Coffee!

I didn’t even think about adding premier proteins to decaf coffee. I used to always get iced mochiattos at Starbucks. So I think I might try caramel pure protein with decaf coffee and some ice and see how it goes. Thank you so much!
  4. Hello all, I am currently two months post op and have been craving coffee. I used to drink two cups a day. Was a regular at my local Starbucks. I mean I was addicted haha. Now a days I am afraid but want to have something to curve my craving. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I could have? Or maybe some ideas on what are your go to coffee drinks? Please send help [emoji31]

    Alcoholic Drinks

I used to love mixed drinks. But I’m not allowed to have carbonated drinks or drinks with tons of sugar. I tend to gear towards the sugar free juices like mango, pineapple, orange and mix them with vodka. Flavored vodkas make it much better tasting too. A healthy version of a pińa colada is sugar free pineapple juice, coconut milk and some Malibu blended with ice is so Yummm! Try it out!

First bites of actual food gone bad!

Thank you for the recommendation Roxine. I'll be trying that out because I struggle to meat my protein intake. Thanks a bunch.

First bites of actual food gone bad!

I just got some canned shredded chicken yesterday I might try it with mustard, sounds pretty yummy. What about spicy foods? Like hot sauce? I wonder if I can have it already I'm all about the spice and I know it would add some great flavor to my food.

I love mashed potatoes. For your oatmeal what type of milk do you use?

First bites of actual food gone bad!

Well in the morning I had a very soft scrambled egg and it stayed down. So I'm pretty sure it was most likely the crackers. I'm just not a fan of textures and the pureed stage has been hard for me. I literally just want to stay on liquids to avoid the mushy foods. [emoji23]

So that's what it was. I couldn't help myself y'all. But I appreciate all the replies and will stay heavily away from crackers lol

Anyone try blending protein shakes with ice shortly after VSG?

I had some issues getting down cold drinks after my surgery. But then I just started adding ice cubes into everything versus blending the ice in them. Seemed to work for me. Try different methods until you find what fits for you. Everyone is different. Good luck!
  13. I started on my pureed stage today. My doctor told me I'm allowed to add in creamy soups, tune, blended chicken and blended fish. I gave tuna a try with a bit of mayo. I had about 2 oz with two crackers. Chewed it a bunch of times until mush and then swallowed. Not even 10 min later I threw it up. Did this happen to anyone else? Not I'm afraid and just want to continue with my fluids
