Erosion was the reason why I had to have my band removed. I have no idea what caused it.
-
So do I! I came over here to see if anyone else is experiencing this! I'm three weeks out today from my band removal due to erosion! How long have you been out?
-
I have never been able to find the sf vanilla cib!

About Camphell's 98% fat free soups
willowbas replied to melipooh9's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Soups are fine at the full liquids stage, but be aware they do have a lot of sodium. This caught me by surprise when I used lots of them in recipes at Thanksgiving...wow! Talk about WATER WEIGHT!!! Whew! I drank gallons of water to wash that stuff out! -
LOOK AT YOU! Almost at goal! I'm so jealous! Congrats and glad you got the band problem fixed asap! That may have saved you from a slip! :clap2:

I'm feeling wonderfully! I'm down 55 lbs. since March 27th, 2006 and I'm down 73 total! I love this band!!! If you click on the link below, there are many pics of my band journey! http://s92.photobucket.com/albums/l4/willowbas Irony: a restrictive device freed me from the prison that held me captive: food. July 4, 2006 (my PERSONAL Independence Day...the day I quit fighting my band)

I made a rub of Cajun seasoning and Splenda brown sugar blend. I rubbed this into turkey cutlets and then sauteed them in a bit of oil in a nonstick skillet. It only takes a couple of minutes of cooking per side. I fixed this last night and my family was STILL talking about them this a.m. Tonight is taco salad: taco meat, lf cheese, light sour cream, salsa, black olives, diced veggies (peppers, red onion, scallions, etc.). I don't always use lettuce...the veggies are heartier and have more nutritional value. :hungry:

How many points are you eating per day? Are you able to eat all the points you are allowed? I haven't been doing WW since my third month or so. Just curious! Thanks!

How are my March Bandsters!!
willowbas replied to Vegaswildflower's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've gone from 275 to 207...since January! I am LOVIN' this band! The day of surgery (March 27) I weighed in at 257! This has been a wonderful journey! -
I cooked a pound of lean ground beef; added shredded carrots, green peas, red and green bell peppers, and green onions. Then I made a sauce of soy sauce, Szechewan sauce, garlic, ginger, and Splenda. I poured the sauce over the meat/veggies which made a glaze. YUM! Anyone who wanted could add rice.

I LOVE Matrix 5.0 vanilla...I can add cocoa powder, strawberries, sf Reese's pb cups, use orange or grapefruit Crystal Light, etc. It's my favorite protein powder!
-
:) Tamales with turkey chili, diced onion, shredded cheese (heat together) and top with some BBQ sauce Crab cakes :huggie: Salmon croquettes :ban: Hot and spicy Thai chicken (mix equal parts of peanut sauce and salsa and bake chicken in it) Buffalo chicken lasagna Pork carnitas Italian chili Just to name a few....

Sheryl...I also drink a shake and I found out that if I use vanilla Protein powder I can do a lot more with it. I add cocoa powder (like the baking kind) to make a chocolate. I add strawberries to make a strawberry shake. I love adding the vanilla powder to orange or grapefruit Crystal Light. Lots of things to do with vanilla...(like adding chocolate Cookies, sf candy ... Reese's, etc.). Love the stuff!!!

I can't eat scrambled eggs, but I can eat Egg Beaters easily!
-
It's drier and not so gummy and chewy!
-
Protein shake, protein coffee (mainly in colder weather), SBD bars, cottage cheese with fruit or Kashi Go Lean Crunch and fruit, yogurt with Kashi GLC and fruit, and Egg Beater's with ham and cheese (when I have time!). Oh I forgot sf CIB!!! Another favorite!

Prayer for son afer 4 wheeler wreck
willowbas replied to beachgirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Prayers for your son! Hopefully, he'll make a full recovery! -
For me, it's a day-to-day thing! I can eat a cracker today and not be able to eat the same type of cracker tomorrow! Tuna works one day; then not the next! BUT...a general list of no-nos for me: dry chicken or any dry meat squishy bread pretty much any bread thick crackers under-cooked potatoes under-cooked spinach (raw is fine, well-done is fine) beef Jerky watermelon (unless I take teensy bites and chew chew chew)
-
How are you? I had a fill with Dr. Luttrell July 12! Seven sticks! OUCH! But he finally found it and I got a cc fill! Feel so much more restricted!

Anyone wish they would have had gastric bypass?
willowbas replied to Monica S's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
YIKES!! I don't want you to think I was in any way attacking YOU, Monica! You asked an honest question, one we probably have ALL asked ourselves. Let me put it like this, I wish I could have the same quick results as rny with the same long-term results as lapband. Now when they have a surgery that works like that, sign me up!!! HUGS!!!
