  1. Dont be too hard on yourself when you have a lot of stuff to deal with already. Make small changes to get back on track, like cutting out a luxury snack or commiting to smaller portions. I have been struggling 2.5 years out as well. Look on FB for online support groups as well. A lot of groups are mostly online now due to the pandemic. I keep having to remind myself that the sleeve was just a tool to get started and the rest is up to me now. So we are not failing ourselves, just transitioning to a new lifestyle with a larger pouch. I also have to remind myself that while my sleeve is much larger than it used to be, its still as small as when the normies get the stomach flu and brag about their small stomachs.
  2. Being a year out I feel like im eating out of control. Anyone else having issues? Anyone here try any of the reset diets and have any advice? I feel awful and Im afraid im going to ruin everything. I could really use some advice!

    October 2018 Sleevers

Your taste will change a little bit songive them a chance after surgery. The Isopure was pretty good though, most of the flavors were really good. Some really not.

Oh cool, I will have to check those out. I have been having problems with dehydration and these may help! Meanwhile I have been using low carb runner rehydration powder

Youve got a really good stock pile going for post op, but I would return the Gatorade if I were you. So many Carbs in those drinks. Look for Isopure zero carb protein drinks at GNC. The come in tall glass bottles https://www.bodybuilding.com/store/nb/drink.html?skuId=NB073&PLASKU=NB073&mcid=CG_PLA_US_OD_Segment_US_Returning_High_Margin&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkOWNkOzj3QIVBT0MCh3E8wIGEAQYBCABEgIZvPD_BwE Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Dont get discouraged, this is a long process and perhaps your body is getting used to its new weight. Make the appointment, talk to your DR, make sure there are no issues like Thyroid holding you up. If you think you may be back sliding or relying too much on slider foods, then maybe make an apt to see a nutritionist. Just know that there are others struggling and you are not alone

    Meds after surgery

Hi, I was on Effexor prior to surgery and quit right before my VGS surgery and stayed off for a week after. When I went back to them I went back to my regular dose and threw it up almost immediately. It made me so sick! Even after I cut my dose down to a quarter of what it was, I was still nauseated and sick after taking it. I wound up giving it up. Its been hard, not having them, alcohol or food to help my mood, but I am doind ok. Some days are better than others. Im trying Kava powder and exersize. I hope that you will have a better tolerance for the meds, but if you don't, I wish you the best. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
