Thanks so much. That makes me feel better. I was starting to worry I don't mind sedation but I was starting to get worried about being awake.

I have UHC Choice and through my job I am covered 100% after deductable:)

I went to a seminar are 3/9/2018 then the next 2 weeks went to a 5.5 hr class where i met with nutritionist, talked to them about which surgery might be best for me, watched a film and answered about 600 questions about myself on paper. lol This week I was suppose to go for a stress test and see a nutritionist again but I had a sinus infection with bronchitis and had to cancel. Next week I go for blood work, psych eval, EKG, and endoscopy all in the same day. I'm not sure what comes next. lol I to have 6 months of nutritionist visits but my insurance allows us to go back 2 years as long as they are consecutive months so I am hoping I won't have too much longer to wait. Things are flying by. I am trying to cut the caffeine and that is not easy for me and also stay on a less carb diet per my dietitian. She wants us to eat around 30 grams daily and also started us on a daily vitamin which i take anyhow. It's all been very exciting and I am ready to get things going!!

I know right? I suppose it being a COE they are prepared. My endoscopy is actually last on list. I would really rather get it all done and over. I have a little drive to get there plus managing work days so it's working out:) HAPPY LOSING EVERYONE!!

So I had a 5 hr appt yesterday where I answered literally around 600 questions about myself, watched films, met with dieticians and so on. They then scheduled me my psych eval, EKG, endoscopy and bloodwork all the same appt for two weeks out. Man things are moving. All I need now are 6 nutritional visits and they can be 2 years prior but consecutive. Wow! I can't catch my breath! Has anyone else had things go like this? I am 5'2 and as of yesterday weight 227. I decided on the surgery because diets do not work for me. I lose just to gain more back. My legs hurt, I have high blood pressure, severe gurd and honestly just wanna be able to get down in the floor and play with my grandbabies again. Someone at work had the bypass surgery and people talked about how she took the easy way out and she wasn't big enough for surgery. Etc etc. That's why I'm not telling anyone. People are cruel. Hi guys!! I'm confused yet again. Thursday I have an appointment with the Barometric Clinic. They said to be sure to eat before I come and bring something to drink because I will be there about 4.5 hrs. I thought awesome!! Ball is rolling now! So I have been eating like crazy cause I want to make sure my bmi is 40 on first weight in. When they call to remind me they tell me it's nothing medical. Just paperwork and classes! Wow! Everyone's experience is so different it? I suppose I have to learn patience lol. I will know a lot more tomorrow. I'm sure appointments will start coming then. They just never told us about this class during the seminar 2 weeks ago. Thanks guys!!!

Ok:) Now what exactly does a consultaton consist of?

So I have UHC and my work pays 100% for weight loss surgery. My question is, does that cover my phyce evaluation, labs, EKG, nutritional visits, etc that they need before surgery? I have UHC Choice and was required to call them myself and I am glad i did. They appointed me a bariatric nurse that will be there to answer all my questions as well check on me after surgery. I did have to go to a COE and they gave me the numbers of places close to me. They also told me all of my requirements a head of time so i knew what to expect before I even called to Center to make an appointment. You want to go to a COE anyhow because they specialize in weight loss surgery. So you know you are in good hands:)

This is awesome!! I have always wanted to run but just give out so fast. I may have to try after my surgery.

Oh ok. I see now. So my co pays will go towards my deductable?

I do have $750 deductible. So my copays will go towards this? I am confused.

It's April 5th in Lexington Ky at St Josephs Center of Excellence. She said it would be about 5 hours but didn't say what it consist of.
