Take those supplements. You hear of so many people having problems because they do not do that. I switched back to gummies. I needed to get the iron out of my system. Nothing worse than constant constipation. I cant believe the scale moved again today. I am the happiest gal ever. Take those supplements....... -

The more I can put in my system the better I feel and the more i loose. I just started capturing my food on instagram I would love to do Streaks with anyone . Streaks are something my kids do. lol it could be snap chat for all I know. But we could post our food pics daily. Give us all ideas and encouragement. -

Ha Ha awesome, I have to do the conversion to see the numbers but that is so cool. I did not have a pre-op diet either. I was highest weight day of as well. I was a lap band to sleeve revision. Not sure if that is your case as well. My weight loss seems to be a little quicker the last week or two. Which is awesome. How is the working out going? I really want to get consistent with that. tomorrow I go for my 12 week checkup. How was all your lab work? sleeve twin Dawn Marie -

I try to get at least 800 daily. Not easy I cant even look at a protein shake. My weight seems to be coming off slow and steady. I am so excited to be approaching 200 lbs. Finally started working out again. You need a pity party every now and than, have it and move on. Just like you did. -
i definitly do straws with no problem, I really had no gas pain at all from the surgery or anything I have done yet. and yes I think the dehydration causes the low energy its the worst for me. i even tried my caffeine free diet coke flattened and couldnt drink that. Ill get there.

-
thats awesome, but you never hear of someone born in the 90's or 2000's with our awesome name. When were you sleeved?
-
Well Hello There Dawn Marie when where you born?
-
its Water mainly, I do not do a lot of liquids. I am trying to do one protein shake still I usually end up opening a premier one and take a few sips and than forget that I was doing it. I have adult add and I am constantly on the go. so it makes it hard. I used to have an alarm set from bariatastic to drink every 15 minutes. I best set that up again. I probably deleted it off my phone to make room for something else. lol.

Hey we also have the same goal weight. Nice one! We can do this. are you going to the YWM confrence in the summer?

Just Curious do you wear a fit bit or any kind of activity tracker? and man I have such a hard time getting my water in. I actually looked up how to give yourself an iv. lol

Hi There I will be 6 weeks post op on Monday as well. As in a full six weeks have gone by. I have to say, today I have great energy, I am trying to get 1000 calories a day in which is really hard. I have a hard time when i wake up on my belly and try to roll over. Man it hurts, and I thinks its the same area you talk about in your post. Did you have a lap band out? Because I did. Or maybe its where the other 85 % of our stomachs used to be that are not there anymore. I have lost 29.5 pounds. which is awesome. I have a few moments where I'm frustrated by what I cannot eat. I am trying to mix it up with the carbs. Putting some in for energy has proven very helpful. I have heard alot of old timers talk about being able to eat what they want just in small portions. I think this will be the trick to not feeling deprived. I feel like the more I can eat the more weight I loose. I am very happy you posted this post. Thanks Dawn Marie

Lapband Removal Recovery
Dawn Hanaphy replied to Staceyb2121's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had a lap band to sleeve revision 5 weeks ago today. It was way easier than my lap band surgery recovery. I knew what to expect. So I walked and walked and walked and had no gas pain. Also came off meds as soon as I could. No Morphine pump, just the toradol I requested. which is normal administered every 6 hours anyway. I gave my self two weeks to be up and running, and I can say, the third week out I was still really tired. But functioning. Best of luck. Dawn Marie -
I was sleeved 2/26 as well. Im at 19 pounds down. Im trying to eat around 800 calories a day. With 60 oz water and 80 grams of protein. Im getting around 7500 steps in a day. Not excersising yet. Most days calories are 650-700. Im happy, although every other day i have no energy at all. I think its directly proportional to my water intake. Cheers

Band to sleeve success stories, please.
Dawn Hanaphy replied to themaestroswife's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am on week three of my band to sleeve conversion and I tell you I just had a moment where I wanted to purge band style. I am on day 2 soft solids , week three post op. I made my first scrambled egg, and even eating it ever so slow its not going down. I have a lot of behavior that i have to change. My band was empty for the last 6 months prior to surgery and I gained fast and furious and ended up really depressed. I am overjoyed that I have been revised. I am really trying to do everything right this time. Part of me knows that with such a high failure rate the band design or concept was a lot of why I failed, but I have to look at my side of the road and do better this time. any stories about how and what changes you are all making band to sleeve conversion will be really helpful for me. warm regards, Dawn Marie -

Hi I recently saw a few groups that have meetups in the area they live in. I think we need this in Mass. Not sure if this is the best way to go about it or if there is already something in place, so I thought I would give it a shot. Dawn Marie

So I propose once we get to 5 members we have a meet up. Where in mass does everyone live? Dawn Marie -
