Hi Everyone! Does anyone have any alcohol suggestions that are the best option for my situation? I know your tolerance is basically gone post op but I just turned 21 years old so alcohol free is a little harder than anticipated. I do not like michelob ultra (My mom was sleeved 6 years ago and this is her drink of choice). Please drop suggestions!! HW 240 SW 232 CW 203 (6Weeks out)

Thanks!!

YES!!! This is exactly how I’ve been doing it. My mom had the sleeve done and there have been times when I’m crying bc I want something off my diet and she keeps saying “be good to yourself.” So I bought an airfryer and made my favorite thing for dinner tonight: Chicken Parm. Homemade gravy, fat free cheese, air fried and breaded in branflakes!! Was a great variation of my favorite food. Buying an airfryer was a great idea bc I don’t miss out on my favorite foods!!

Okay people do NOT knock it until you try it. This hummus is PERFECT for any sweet tooth. I was sleeved on 1/8/18 and am now starting to crave sweets again so I’ve been looking for something to fulfill that craving. I’ve tried sugar free ice creams and water ice and everything tastes sugar free (If that makes sense). I have started to save my sugars for “sweets” so I’m not consuming too much. All day, I eat sugar free so when dessert comes, I can indulge in a little bit of this Brownie Batter hummus with 4 sugars and 3 proteins per serving. Man am I loving it. Do not let the word hummus fool you, there is nothing savory about this stuff. GIVE IT A SHOT if you need something sweet like I do!! HW: 240 SW: 232 CW: 205 Height: 5’2

Thanks for being supportive as opposed to lecturing me! I don’t drink regularly so I figured drinking on a holiday weekend would be okay and I should try to plan accordingly. I figured skinny margaritas would be a good way to go but after hearing some suggestions, vodka (diet)cran sounds like a good idea!!

January 2018 Sleevers HERE
alexmcintyre replied to PrincessDy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi!! Was sleeved on Jan 8, 2018 and am losing steadily. HW was 240, SW was 232, and CW is 203!! Very close to the 30 lbs mark! My goal weight is 135 so I have a lot to go but I’m excited. I moved the first stages of my diet rather quickly so I am eating normal foods. I do exercise regularly tho and do my best to watch everything that goes in my body. I’m excited to be on this path!! -
As I already stated, I am not interested in drinking right this second. I am trying to plan for the future. Memorial Day Weekend is months away and I don’t plan on binge drinking. I’m trying to figure out the best way to have fun while still staying healthy and watching my consumption.

Thanks I’ll give it a try!!

I appreciate your concern but I’ve actually be doing really well food wise and am just trying to make wise decisions for Memorial Day Weekend and such. I already gave up alcohol for lent just to tack on another reason why I can’t drink it lol!! Right now all I drink is water with the occasional diet snapple. If you have any preferred drinks please share!!

throwing some protein in everything has really helped me maintain my hunger for a while. I mean you should be eating every 3 hours ish! I eat at 8:15, snack at 10:30, lunch at 12:45, snack at 3, and dinner at 6. So far I’ve been doing pretty well on that schedule! HW 240 SW 232 CW 203 6 Weeks Post Op!

I am a new sleever and am exactly 6 weeks out of surgery! I am eating everything now (meaning no dietary limitations outside of the obvious) so I was wondering if anyone has any great recipes. I am doing cauliflower pizza tonight!!

I saw it online and learned that they sell it a most walmarts next to all the other hummus. They come in 4 flavors but my local walmart only has 2. I have put it on strawberries, apples, and pretzel crisps so far. Very tasty!!

I haven’t craved “sugar” necessarily either but whenever I need something sweet, this is my go to!
