I’m Interested-What Kind/Brand Of Protein Is Everyone On?
Cloudburst replied to MACPOWER's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm currently doing the presurgery liquid diet. I drink bariatric advantage chocolate flavored meal replacement, premier protein chocolate rtd, muscle milk strawberry rtd, and unjury chicken, The unjury chicken is foamy, but it has been a life saver during my presurgery diet. My nutritionist gave me strawberry premier protein which was delicious, but I haven't been able to find it for sale anywhere. -
My surgery date is April 18th, too!

My surgery is April 18th. It is getting real for me, too.

I have the opposite problem. I like all the staff at my surgeon's office. I don't like my surgeon at all. He made me wait an hour and a half with no apology or explanation. He was abrupt, too. If his team wasn't so good I would go elsewhere. I agree with GettinSkinnywithit you should ask to speak with your surgeon's nurse or the clinic manager.

I was given a list of things that I needed to do: psych eval, nutritionist visits, various medical tests. After I completed them the surgeon's office submitted to my insurance and then I was approved.

New to process and torn

Hi, I worry about sticking to the diet long term as well. I started cheating on the diet too. The most important thing is honesty with your team. I asked for help. The nutritionist and I sat down and figured out what situations cause me to want to cheat. Family get togethers are one factor. The other is emotions/stress. Im going to try bringing foods I can eat to family get togethers. I am seeking counselling for the emotional eating. I know it is hard. I believe in you. -
