Hi you Michiganders. I used to be from Michigan born and raised in Eastpointe area. I now live in Idaho. I only had to lose 15 lbs. It was great. I feel great since I had my Lapband surgery on March 17,2008

Jennypoo, I am on two blood pressure meds. 2 Lovastatin and Cozaar. I went to my Dr because I was feeling the same way. My PMD has been watching me very close since I had my surgery which was March 17, 2008. In the past 4 weeks my blood pressure has gone from 148/94 to 104/60 so I was cut down to 1 Lovastatin and 1/2 pill of Cozaar Eventually I think I will be off of them. I will see.

Out of control eating; bingeing, please help!

Serenety55 No my gosh you are not alone. I was so concerned about this too. I also gained a 2 pounds back. Called my dr. office talked to the Nurse she told me that I may need a band adjustment. I go for one on June 2nd. Also water hasn't been filling me up because I thought that it would fill me up. I was also told that the first fill may not be enough. But dont worry. I will let you know how it works out for me after my 2nd adjustment. I have lost 33 pounds as of right now. I am happy to say I can see my feet again Also I am in a 12/14 pair of pants haven't been in that size for 15 years. What a feeling. -

No Lynn Bc/Bs has already paid mine now it is my time to set up my payments. Do you know how much the insurance pays? Mine paid 80%. Also Lynn my surgery was done on March 17, 2008. I just now got the bill from the remaining balance from the Dr. just this week in the mail. May 30, 2008. It just takes a little while. -
How often do you weigh yourself??

I weigh myself all the time at least 3 times a day. I just cant understand how I can weigh 200 and the next time 193. Then I get depressed when I weigh more. Also 1 dr. scale is less then the other. Every scale is different. WOW. -
Congragulations I feel better that I did before my surgery. You let us know when you have it done and how you feel. I had mine on St. Patty's day. I feel the luck of the Irish.

Does having a lower BMI=34 lose weight slower?

I have had a low BMI I have been losing slow. But I am 53 and what I gather is that if you are older you lose slower. -

Hi everyone, Tonight I feel real tight across my stomach I don't know why.But I do have a stomach ache. Has anyone found this in common. Has anyone been sick? I also have felt nausea the past few days too. I don't think it has any thing to do with my lapband. But it is across where my belly button is. -
Chrissieny, Do you normally run high. They have something called white coat syndrome. Which is really not a syndrome but when you go to the Dr. it goes high. My blood pressure usually doesn't run high unless I go to the Dr. But since the lapband surgery it has been real low since I lost weight.

Denise he would have to sign his assessts over to you or another sibling. After that he should be able to go for his Veterans Benefits. He should be able to get his Social Security now and as long as he has enough quarters. You would have to go to Social Security and talk about signing him up for Social Security. They probably take it for his care at the assisted living. I think it has to be 40 qiarters which I am sure he has that. In California they have about 4 Veterans Homes. The main one in Yountville California where I used to work at.If he is at the Veterans Home it would be based on his income. If you ever get a chance you should visit it. It would probably be ideal. Also if your mom is still alive she can go in with him. They have a married quarters. You take care.

Hi everyone, I need some advice. I went for my first fill on April 29th and I will be going for my second fill on June 2nd. I dont seem to be losing a couple of pounds between my 1st and second fill. Is that normal for people. Do alot of people lose more after there second fill. Help. -
I am sure glad this came up. I have tried to stick to chicken and fish. Wanted to attemp Olive Garden but a little scared has anyone tried there food. what did you order?

Indio I feel like I am eating more. I will go for my 2nd fill on June 2nd. Should I have had my second fill My first one was on April 29th. So if can please let me know is this a sign of needing a fill. -

It is ok.You will make it. I did the same thing. Just try to hang in there. I was banded it March of 2008. Yes you will be able to have the regular food again. Right now I am on chicken fish and vegetables. Good luck. For me it is the single best thing I have done. To think I did this for me. -

Hi my blood pressure has been pretty low in the last few weeks when I went to the Dr. Where I am still on my coazar. Well this week I went back to the Dr and my dr told me to cut it in half. Well yesterday I took my half pill and got real dizzy and fell on my kitchen floor. Has this happened to anyone before? -

I have a question. I have been eating alot lately. Or should I say I feel like I have been eating alot. I am a Diabetic and more so this month I gain a pound and then I lose a pound. I have already had my first fill. I go back on June 2nd for my next one. Also I have been throwing up not on a continue basis. I am trying so hard to stay with the program. Should I call my dr. The nurse has said in the office when you throw up on a continious basis the band could have slipped. Has this happened to anyone. -
