Hi Tamra - How was the intro meeting? I get banded on 7/21 so I've been through the appts you'll be going through. It seems like a long process, but it goes by quickly. So far, everyone is very nice. I'm on 10 day pre-op liquid diet. It's tough, but I know it will be worth it. - Kathy

Hi everyone - I've been reading the posts and thought this would be a good thread to join in on. I'm having surgery on 7/21. So, I'm on a 10 day liquid diet. Boy is it hard!! I'm also going through a range of emotions, doubts, loss (ie, no more of certain foods). I'm looking forward to having this network of other bandsters to help me through the process. - Kathy

Janet - Thanks for posting the sample menu. I'll look forward to using it when I'm there - 5 weeks from now!! In the meantime, I'm trying to be creative with the liquid diet. Your results are impressive. It's a real motivator. Thanks so much for being here. We have the same stats. Hopefully a year from now my weight will be where yours is today. PS I can't seem to download my ticker from tickerfactory.com. Anyone have suggestions? - Kathy

Is it possible to join this group? I need a mentor. I'm less than one week from surgery and I'm panicking, having second thoughts, etc. The comments on this thread are great and very helpful. I'm 53, 242lb, 5'4". Started at 258. I'm on a 10 day liquid pre-op diet. Hungry all the time! Anyway, I'll continue to read and look forward to more guidance. Thanks. - Kathy
