Got my 2nd fill, What the H*ll Happened
jemo97 replied to yettia1031's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I just had my fourth fill today and I really just started feeling true restriction two weeks ago. I asked my doctor and she said that is normal. Some days you will feel more restriction than other days, but it takes time to get the right amount of fluid in your band. Everyone is different, but just thought I'd share. You are doing good, so keep up the good work. I know it's hard to be patient, but once you get to the "sweet" spot, you'll see the results you want. -
Congrats!!! Good Luck with everything!!

CONGRATS APRIL!!! Best of luck to you!!! Angel - YEP! go buy it.....so when it's 97 degrees and 95% humidity and you don't want to work out....the dress can give you a little push in the right direction.

Shhh...Keep it in the Closet!?
jemo97 replied to aprilapple's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Ladies.... At first I wasn't going to tell anyone but my mom and dad....I didn't even tell my boyfriend until after the surgery! But, then I told my best friend (who is a size 4!...even after a baby) and she is so supportive. My boyfriend was more upset that I didn't confide in him from the start than he was about the surgery. He has been very supportive and he is my walking buddy. I haven't told a lot of people, but I don't feel like I should be ashamed of this. I did this to make my life better...so that I can be healthier. I know there are some people that I couldn't tell...but I don't really consider those people my close friends...I wouldn't tell them a lot of stuff. My point is, this is a long journey...and you are going to need some support along the way. If there is anyone that you can trust, I would encourage you to tell them, so that you at least have one person to lean on. I've been blessed with a lot of support and I know that I wouldn't be able to do this alone. As for some random receptionist or nurses opinion...who cares....like the song says.."Hi Hater....I see you..Bye, Hater!" -
well...I will say that for me...I haven't had any problems. I asked my doctor before the surgery and he said that when I was comfortable enough...then there wasn't any reason not to carry on as usual. It's been a little more than two months since my surgery...and everything has been all good. I think we took two weeks off right after the surgery...but that's it.

CONGRATS!!!!!:cool2: I wish you only the best. The first few days you may be sore and super gassy...but it will get better. Just remember to keep walking and that will help with the gas. Day one of your new life!! Take care...

I guess my problem is...like T.O said...I love me some me!! So I didn't have any problems taking pictures...but I always had to get my pose just right and be on my "good" side. My reality check came when I took my id photo for my new job and I looked horrible...just swole....I was totally disgusted. -
I only lost 6lbs before my surgery....so everything has been after the surgery. The only exercise I really do is walking...but I guess its working. I just started using the online calorie counter in my signature about 3 weeks ago, but it has really helped.

Hi...I was banded on May 16th and I haven't seen a signifigant loss in my hair. I am currently growing out my relaxer and haven't had one in 7 months, and my hair is as shiny and healthy as ever. I will say that I haven't had the extreme weight loss that some women have had...I just went for my second fill and I'm down a total of 32lbs since I started the process in May. If you feel like your hair is beginning to shed, eat more protien and take a biotin supplement to help your hair stay strong. Also, I did notice that after the anestesia (sp?) my scalp was extremely dry for like 2weeks, but that could just be my sensitive skin. Hope this helps...and good luck tomorrow!
