Wow yours is fancier than mine. Too late to hey up and get it for a photo op. [emoji58] -
About a month. No issues for me. Now I wait for the scolding comments back. [emoji16]

I was told not to spend a bunch of money on new clothes but I still bought some stuff as I lost weight to feel good about myself. I checked out some thrift stores but I didn't really get that excited about the clothes there so I went to Marshalls, Target, Kohls, watching for sales too. Surgery size 22. Bought new work pants at 20 and 18 then skipped to 14 and now 12. Really close to needing 10. Jeans 22, 18, 16, 12, not ready for 10 yet. Shirts I haven't changed much. Started at 2XL then bought some XL, now sitting at L for quite a while. I don't like my clothes too tight so I'm not sure if/when I'll get to a M. Pre surgery diet weight was 265 lbs. Surgery 8-15-18 at 250. Currently at 163. Ideal goal 150-155 but I'm actually pretty happy where I am now. Good luck! Enjoy watching the new slimmer you evolve!

Seems some folks didn't take spelling in school. I read a lot of posts and comments incorrectly using "loose" in place of "lose". No way I believe it's a keyboard auto correct issue every single time. It should be LOSE weight. And LOOSE skin. Thanks for listening.

how often did you feel buyers remorse having the surgery
rs replied to johnedwin's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My buyer's remorse lasted about a month. As I've watched the lbs come off over the past 11 mos I've became much more accepting of my new life. Good luck on your journey! -
This section of the site is specifically for rants & raves. I stand by my post.

Welcome to ONEderland! Congratulations!

Agree with others... It does get better! I too had buyer's remorse the first few weeks. Consumed by pain physically, mentally, emotionally. Over time it improved more and more. And as I watch the pounds come off, and am buying smaller and smaller clothes sizes, I actually don't mind looking at myself in the mirror and I like what I see! At almost one year post op I'm at 163, with starting weight. Feeling so much better than that first month. Good luck to those of you struggling just after surgery. Hang in there!

Used to barely buckle my airplane seatbelt pre surgery. Now I have extra room! #nonscalevictory

Nearly one year post op and still can't eat eggs. Scrambled, fried, hard boiled. Loved them pre surgery but now they make me nauseous.

Ditto for me, finally!

I'm sorry for how you're feeling. And for your husband's job loss. This post surgery journey is not easy. I'm almost a year out and I still feel sad and angry often because I can't turn to food for comfort like I used to. The only thing that makes it worth it for me is seeing the weight come off. That'll happen really soon for you. It won't alleviate all the icky feelings, but it does help. Sending you good vibes for everything to turn around for you quickly. Hang in there.
